I was waiting over a week for a bid from another electrician when I decided to contact someone else out of frustration. I contacted Plug-In EV on a Friday. Saturday morning Avi came by my home and gave me an estimate. Saturday afternoon I was charging my EV at home! I was really surprised when he told me they could install the same day, on a weekend. They delivered. A few days later they sent out a wallboard guy to fix the plaster garage wall that was opened for the wiring. Rarely I have an experience with a contractor where my reaction is "hey, I actually enjoyed dealing with those people." Easiest 5-star review I've written in a long time. Responsive. Informative. Helpful. Prompt. Fair. Thoughtful even. I had a work place situation where we had EV charging and it was really an L1 set-up. Adar came out the next day and assessed the situation. He gave me advice that was easy to understand. He clarified a point about electrical panels and circuits that I did not know before. We agreed on a price and he stated he would be out within a few days. After he left, I realized I had not given him all the information he needed about additional work. I contacted him. He worked with me with pictures and questions and was able to re-do the proposal. They came when promised and did the work. They were not satisfied with one part and came back early the next morning with the part they wanted. The work was clean, very good parts, efficient, as promised. He installed a system that worked exactly as I hoped it would, I finished testing it already and I'm very happy, it's more than I need to drive my EV all I want now. He also enabled us to upgrade to a better charging system if we want to in the future, I have a pretty good one so I may not, but it's nice to know we can do that if we ever decide to, which I might. Edit: I have done some fairly extensive testing, reviewed/side-checked by another EV driver at my office, and so far the L2 system Adar and his team put in, is performing at the high end of what an L2 system can do. Certainly I now find myself driving around with a full tank so to speak. Gotta get used to not using the word "tank" lol. I recommend them for EV charging work at home or office. read more

After we agreed on the quote, they applied for the permit and installed my Tesla Universal Wall Charger the next day. Took about 2 hours to install. The only con would be that I learned after that I would have been able to save around $220 had I applied for a permit online myself, which only takes about 5 minutes to apply for if you're a resident in the City of Los Angeles.
