I enrolled my son in the infant room when he was just under six months and now he's almost two years old. He LOVES it here and so do we. My son gets excited to go to "school" every day, and actually throws a tantrum if I come to get him before 5pm! He loves the routine and doesn't want to miss out on his afternoon outside play time with his friends. They do art every day, and every activity is thoughtfully planned with their development in mind. I live for the photos and updates that come through the KinderCare app every day. It gives me a glimpse into my son's day while he's away from me. The teachers really take the time to get to know your child. There are teachers who aren't even in my son's classroom who know him by name and greet him as we are walking in/out. The Director, Ms. Hope, is always friendly and knowledgeable about what's going on in the classrooms and with each child. Honestly, all the staff here is amazing. My son lights up when he sees his teachers and it just warms my heart and is all that much more reassuring that he's in a good place. I also love that the center organizes community events. We've met some of the other parents that way, and were even able to invite the grandparents to join us for the Fall Festival, which was nice. Unfortunately we are moving out of the area soon, but I am so in love with the KinderCare methodology that we have enrolled my son in another KinderCare near our new home. It's going to be hard to top our experience with Pleasanton, but I'm hopeful we'll have another great experience. read more

We have been going to Kindercare in Pleasanton off and on for a year with my, now 17 month old. She started at 5 months in the infant room and has had time now also in the toddler room. This place is amazing! All the teachers and staff are so friendly and know all the kids by name even if they are in different classrooms. We have never had a negative experience with any staff member. They are flexible and understanding of specific needs of each baby and treat every baby with love and care! The app they have is constantly kept up to date so you know when/how much your child is eating and sleeping and when they get a diaper change. They also upload pictures, which are so nice to see through out the day! They provide great meals and snacks for kids and help immensely with the transition into eating solids and more variety of foods. I love all the activities they do, even with the smallest babies, they do educational activities and even art! I would highly recommend anyone to enroll their baby here! read more

My daughter started here around 4 months old and had been enrolled about 15 months now. This place is amazing and I highly recommend. Teachers here are wonderful with all the kids and the director Lindsay is past amazing. Every staff member has nurturing relationships with every kid. Its a clean and safe environment, as a parent I appreciate their curriculum and the communication they have with me via email and in person. I'm always made aware of everything, from the time she eats, to the time she's having a diaper change, to what activities they are doing in the classroom. The Pleasanton Kindercare is full of caring teachers and also generally follows Kindercare corporate standards. These are all good things that deserve higher marks. My poor rating is specifically about the rude and offensive behavior of one employee at the Pleasanton branch of Kindercare in 2022. The center director is disorganized, repeatedly asks for documents already given, clearly antagonizes specific individuals without reason, is generally rude and terse. But the worse part about this person is the MISTREATMENT of BABIES! When asked for a general schedule, this person could not produce a schedule despite being asked 3 times over multiple days. She was clearly unfamiliar with her own daycare's daily routine for toddlers and could not explain basic concepts such as when children get snacks. This center director asked my family for medical release forms twice when she was already given said forms over a week prior. She was not keeping track of client documents. The worst part of this person's behavior: my family witnessed this person rip a toy out of my child's hand because it was time for me to take my child home and the center director did not want my toddler to take the toy home and bring it back the following day. My child instantly cried and the center director also visibly caused my baby discomfort and pain by tearing at my child's arm and hand just to extract the toy. Once she got the toy and my child was crying, all the center director did was turn around and walk away. Truly a rotten soul. We left the center shortly after witnessing that horrible incident. Other Kindercare facilities we've been to since just allow my child take home a small toy from time to time and allow for return the following day. The center director threatens good-intentioned parents when they try to help their child transition newly into daycare. Example: I tried to feed breakfast to my child at home and then bring my child in to the center. I was yelled at by her telling me that I am not allowed to bring my child in "late." She also threatened that if a toddler will not nap and feed him/herself that there is not space in the infant room, implying we must leave the daycare. When asked what daycare staff are doing to help a baby transition from infant to toddler rooms, no good answer was provided, instead, we parents were told, our child simply "won't go down." Meaning for a nap. Other KinderCare facilities have specific transition criteria and help their infants become toddlers by allowing transition time via gradual achievement of specific milestones (e.g. walking, self-feeding). I truly encourage Kindercare to review this person's behavior/values to see if she lives up to their corporate standards. read more

We have been with Kindercare Pleasanton for about 1.5 years now. My daughter started going there when she is about 14 months old. Her time in Toddler Classroom: Ms Nadira and other teachers were great! they would hug the kids and cuddle them to ensure they feel loved and secure at all times. My daughter learned self feeding, sign language, and said some of her first words (they encourage talking a lot). It was great! every now and thenI would receive pictures of her playing, eating, doing art and crafts etc. I was also able to drop by AT ANY TIME to check in on her without getting questioned or stopped (I know home daycares do not allow that). Her time was great in the toddler room! Her time in 2's Classroom: Right at her second birthday, she was moved to the 2's classroom. Honestly, she did have little hard time adjusting because the student to teacher ratio changes from 1:4 to 1:10 or something. Within 2 weeks, she was well settled. I felt that there was lack of arts, crafts, pictures of her day in the 2's room. They did have high churn of teachers in that class and overall i feel that the class lacked some structure. Ms Courtney was great and she helped my daughter with potty training so within 6 months of being in the 2's, my 2.5 year old at time was potty trained. I wish the teachers (they no longer work there) were little more attentive when my daughter fell and chipped one of her front tooth. The teacher did not even notice that she had a chipped tooth until I picked her up. However, the center director Ms Narinder was great about the situation and offered help which I appreciated. Once properly potty trained, my daughter moved to the next class few months early. Her time in Preschool-A: Ms Ronna is a star of my daughter's life at the moment. She is amazing with kids, very caring and loving. She loves to sing, talk and read books to the kids which is awesome. My daughter's vocabulary has grown like crazy (She turns 3 in April 2019). Ms Ronna is always doing some activity with the kiddos which keeps them occupied and helps them learn. We are very happy with our daughter's ability to trace letters, numbers and how well she can count and speak. Circle time is her favorite time of the day. Other Things: They offer a STEM program which is great! kids learn new things and you can see their progress in their mobile app. They do "Date Nights" once every month where they watch the kids till 9pm for VERY reasonable fee. Super affordable specially in the bay area. My husband and I have done many "date nights" worry and guilt free because of Kindercare!! There are other activities too that they promote for older kids - which I am sure we will sign up for when our daughter is of the right age. To any parents debating if this is the right center for your baby/toddler/child - I would 100000% recommend this place. read more

This place is completely disorganized. They are understaffed , has inexperienced teachers, and director definitely doesn't seem like she is capable of the job. I felt like my kid hardly learnt anything. My kid has always been sick since going there. Every now and then they ask to pick up the kids early stating various reasons which was very inconvenient for us. Our 3rd little one just completed her first full year at Kindercare - and we're still SO HAPPY with this facility. The teachers in the nursery are just perfect - almost a part of our family! Ms. Hetty, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Yvette are such caring women who take the best care of babies. I couldn't work if I didn't have 150% confidence in my childcare provider ... still grateful to be with Pleasanton Kindercare!! One of the best parts of my day is spending 10-15 min with my little one when we arrive at the school. The teachers are always so welcoming and support parents being in and around the classrooms. This was based off a walk-through from last year and I thought I would just share my experience with other parents. The moment we walked in we were graciously welcomed; but by the time they showed us one room, there were 2 instances that occurred, that as a parent, threw up major red-flags: 1) the room smelt of urine 2) I saw one of the staff members firmly grab a child by the arms. The pressure applied and the reaction from the kid, did not sit with me very well. I should've spoke up at that moment, and to this day, I still regret I didn't. Please please please please do your research. Do multiple walk-throughs. Talk to other parents. Read reviews. Maybe they have changed, who knows; but I would be very vigilant in researching this place before you place your kid here. read more

I have mixed emotions writing this review! As we had placed our little one here for about 4 months! We had our baby in the infant class. The teacher in the class were nice to us and I believe that they treated our baby well! That is the only reason for the 2 stars The issue with this locations is that its strictly about the numbers! They are only focused on making sure that the staffing numbers are maintained! My observation is that the teachers have a very difficult time attending to the needs of the kids! There was no time for teaching or playing, they were just feeding and changing diapers! Most of the babies were left alone till they cried! I cannot say enough good things about this place. This was our first experience of any daycare, after moving from the UK in 2015, and having our first child in 2017. We looked at a few places in Pleasanton, but this was the only one where it felt like the staff genuinely cared about the children, as well as their families. Plus, no ridiculously long wait-list! The staff are incredible. Michelle, Yvette, and Hetty in the infant room are wonderful. They have been such an important part of my daughter's upbringing. The ladies in the toddler room are also incredible. I never once hesitated about leaving my daughter in their hands. But Narinder, the Center Director, is an absolute diamond. Friendly, flexible, and when we had to transfer to another Kindercare for an upcoming relocation, she fought tooth-and-nail to make sure we got a place. She didn't need to do it, but this is just the kind of service we've consistently received; above and beyond all expectations. We're sad to be leaving Pleasanton Kindercare, as our daughter has genuinely flourished there. And I believe any child left in their care would do the same. read more

I've also had my daughter at the Livermore Kindercare and my sister's kids are in Santa Rosa so do want to say that all Kindercares have a minimally good system and staff. BUT, the Pleasanton is above and beyond wonderful. I have 2 daughters who needs some extra attention and Julie and Milpa are exquisite (they have obviously been trained in behavior techniques). I have struggled at several preschools, but the love, attention, and patients they have for my kids has topped the most expensive schools in Livermore and Pleasanton. They have great safety standards but are able to adjust to your children's needs (I have had nightmare experiences with schools with rigid schedules or nap routines). They also provide transportation, extra activities, parents night, and have lots of special educational projects. The staff does an amazing job supporting the teachers and parents...online payments (some schools still use checks!). Only improvement I can think of is a digital system for filling out paperwork and check-in/checkout. One note: if you look at other reviews, check out the date...I think they are out of date. read more

We've been going here for a year now. The teachers are all pretty friendly with a few exceptions. I do enjoy their organized curriculum and extra programs they offer on a fee basis, but reasonably priced. Most teachers show they really care and enjoy working there. There are a couple of teachers who are useless; there is one in the three's who does not pay any attention; example is i've witnessed obvious bullying and hitting on random occasions i've picked up or dropped off my kids and teacher was oblivious to this. Once a crying little boy even went up to this useless teacher and said he was just hit, the teacher ineffectively just yelled out in a nonchalant manner to the entire room, "stop hitting." which of course every kid ignored. That was so ineffective and made me wonder what goes on when there are no parents in the room. This poor kid in tears basically got brushed away by his teacher and no attempt to investigate and properly address the bully was done. The food is so / so, typical american high processed foods, but can't blame the school for this one since i know it comes from upper management decisions on purchasing the cheapest decent food available. (Note - If any preschool / daycare ever opens up and serves wholesome real food, preferably organic, i will be all over it and even pay for the extra difference in price) Now for the admin staff: The director is not that caring and doesn't seem to make any attempts to interact with the parents as they arrive. She just sits in her office or chats it up with other teachers. I'm sure she does this all day, but at least make it a point during morning, noon, and evening windows of drop off / pick up to stand in lobby area available to parents who would like to speak to her. The assistant director is way too busy flirting with most males who walk in. The bill collector lady asks for the weekly dues as if they are court ordered judgments. She leaves nasty notes paper clipped to the sign-in sheet for all to see who is even one day late on payment, she calls you at home threatening you with late fees if payment is not immediately made, etc etc. This is an expensive daycare and you have to pay weekly when all other bills are set up for monthly payments as is very standard. It's hard to remember to pay each week; it just seems too often that payment can easily and innocently be overlooked. The bill collector needs to relax and not act like it is her own personal money. The director should at least consider a bi-weekly payment instead of weekly; its just way too often. Or go with the standard of monthly billing. I even once overheard this bill collector talking very loudly in the main hallway to a teacher during a busy morning drop off time about how frustrated she gets because of all the parents who don't pay each week and how much time she has to spend on reminder calls and notices and threats of late fees. Well maybe she should bring this to the director's attention and work with the parents and not against the parents. It was clear in her convo that many parents overlook the weekly payments so it's obviously an issue that can easily be resolved if this place went on a normal monthly or biweekly billing cycle. Besides, how unprofessional this was and poor perception skills on her part. The safety is so / so. Kids have gotten injured and the teachers / staff will protect each other till the end on liability. They definitely have each others backs on this one so if your little one gets injured they will complete a useless injury report and call you, but don't expect any apologies or acceptance of liability. They're famous for saying, "These things happen" or "kids will be kids" They also forget to put sunblock on kids so many times. I know this because i know the smell of my kids when they've worn sunblock. I've requested in writing and verbal that sunblock always be applied to my kids before playing outside. Overall, we like this place and have not left because of the overwhelmingly great teachers who obviously care and do a good job every school day, but its definitely not the admin staff that keeps us coming. I'm giving 3 stars because most of the teachers are great and caring. But not 4 or 5 stars for reasons mentioned above. read more

My family has been at KinderCare for eight years between my two children. We were at a different location for my oldest, where we weren't super happy with many different things. I am beyond thankful a spot opened up in Pleasanton for my youngest. She LOVES coming to school everyday and adores her teachers, as do I. All of the teachers are so positive, friendly, and caring, and they each have a wonderful way of making each child feel loved and special. They keep the families updated throughout the day with the app, and it's so wonderful to see photos and get updates of my daughters day. Hope, the center director, is thoughtful, kind, and incredibly communicative with the families. She also listens to all concerns and takes appropriate action to continue to best serve the families and teachers. The center is clean, well maintained, and safe. I know my daughter is in fabulous hands when I leave her here, and I never hesitate to recommend this center to others (and have to a few families!). read more

I wanted to share my unsatisfactory experience with Kindercare, Pleasanton. I used Kindercare's services for about 3 weeks which I was transitioning my 1 year old toddler out of a nanny routine. He has become a lot more active and curious and when his nanny was out sick for 2 weeks, we thought it would be a good time to try a daycare to see how he interacts socially with kids in his agegroup. The infant and toddler room is a common room instead of being separate like at a lot of other daycares. The needs of an infant are very different from those of a toddler and this is not a good grouping. In the first week, the center director as well as the toddler room teachers made big promises and took us aside and chatted us up about how beneficial it would be to leave him there long term for a more wholesome learning curve that will allow him to settle there better. Our experience could not be more different than what was promised. We noticed our toddler was completely skipping his afternoon nap, so he went from napping twice to napping just once. Due to this, when we brough him back home, he was a tired wreck and fussed/cried to no end. We couldnt put him to sleep at 6pm or he wouldnt sleep through the night. Basically, the noise and commotion at Kindercare and the lack of concern by teachers resulted in a messed up napping schedule for our little one. Besides this, I feel that teachers provide little, is any, personal handling and attention to my ward. They pretend to be cosy and intimate with the child when we come to pick him up and drop him but a lot of parents I ran into told me that that is all a big production. They do not care or have too many kids to handle to be able to do this. Lastly, I was charged a fees for a days when my child was sick even though he did not step foot in the daycare on those days. They gave me a huge earful of how hard it was to handle him on the sick day before i got there to pick him up, but they refuse to take responsibility for the days they have charged me but not provided any service. I can understand the need to send my child home if he is sick but dont charge me for the days following that day if you are not actually handling him. Unprofessional. Big promises but empty promises. Do note that our child was sick with 2 different issues - in the 3 weeks he was there. Communicable diseases are prone to happen to kids of such young age in proximity of other kids, so please have a PLAN B in place when your child gets sick. Because Kindercare will dump your ward without flinching at the slightest sign of them being sick. The fact that they get sick a lot at a crowded daycare is how the cycle starts in the first place. For me it meant just taking 4 days off work in the middle of a busy week which really annoyed my boss. We decided to try out a home daycare this week and we are much happier. With a smaller number of kids (4 instead of double figures), our baby feels more taken care of. We noticed that he no longer throws a fit when we drop him there or pick him up, which he did at Kindercare. I think he was completely devoid of attention at Kindercare which is why he cried so much at pickup and dropoff. Overall, it was a safe, convenient location to leave our kid at wheile we both were at work, but expect no personal attention at all, and have alternate plans for when your child is sick. read more

We have been sending our kids to Kindercare for almost 3 years. The staff are very friendly and really take good care of the kids. All the teachers knows almost all the kids in all the classes. They provide very yummy lunch, my kids love them. They organize lot of fun events. My kids love to go to Kindercare every day. I have reduced one star for the two reasons, 1. This place is little expensive and 2. They dont have good academic programs. read more

I am a mom of an 11 month old and my baby boy has been at this daycare since he was 3 months old. Like any first time mom, I was really nervous to leave my son with strangers but there was something about the teachers that made me feel that he would be in good hands. I had a trial day where when I came back to pick him up, he was happy and giggling and didn't even realize I was gone. My son hadn't been there a week and teachers from all other older classes who i hadn't met, would say hi to my son by name and would tell me how sweet he is. All the teachers in the whole center get to know all the kids, I liked that. Over the months I have been convinced that I couldn't find a better level of care for my son. The two infant teachers Miss L and Miss M were so in tune with my son's rhythms that they quickly realized when he was having a growth spurt and needed more. Everyday I heard about sweet little things he(specifically) was doing and what they were teaching him( working on). Weeks later he would be doing the thing they had told me they had been teaching him. Those ladies are PERSONALLY invested in each baby's development and care deeply for all those little babies. They are Rockstars! At 7 months old, my son stood on his own for the fist time and they took photos for me and were just as excited as I was. Who does that??!! I went home and cried that day, realizing that he is in the best hands he could possibly be in. Since then, I have gotten the sweetest little photos of my son washing his hands, enjoying bananas (which at the time he wouldn't even touch at home!) and my personal favorite, giving himself the Nebulizer treatment (under supervision obviously). The infant care teachers were so flexible and whatever I wanted to try whether it was a schedule or certain sleep/eating preferences and all kinds of things, they hopped on board and supported me as far as they could. I was nursing in the beginning and dropped in unannounced all the time. Even to this day sometimes when i miss him I drop by during my lunch. The center Director, assistant Director & Miss K are also amazing! They do a great job bringing in staff who genuinely care for the kids. They are organized and honest and handle all the financial aspects with parents with such grace. Wonderful people! Its a pity that we have a culture to only review negative experiences. My hope is that all the other happy mommies and daddies at the center would leave a note about this centers incredible staff. read more

The teachers and the staff are amazing! I am a mom who used this center many years ago for my 3 older children and returned when I needed daycare again. They remembered me and my older children which means some of the teachers are still there about 10 years later. I do not hesitate at all leaving my son with this fabulous staff. They are warm, caring, and compassionate. For a center it is remarkable that the staff are able to address me by name daily on arrival. The teachers really get to know the kids and the parents. Not the best place in town, in fact its the worst place to send your child. They will treat your kid kindly in front of you but after that they just leave them crying. When they know the parents are about to come they will give full attention to your child. It has happened to me and every time i went in between times i found my son left alone crying or not been attended. This daycare is very awful. We had our son there since 6 weeks old. The nanny is unprofessional to make my son vomit every time during milk feeding. Every day my son clothes wet. However in home he was fine no problem for milk feed. The nanny there is very inpatient and no love for kids. Don't send your kids to there. It was nightmares for me. read more

I am so happy my family experienced this Kindercare, we have only been there for only one year and we had to move but during that time the staff there where like family .my son was in the three's room and the teachers were amazing , the classroom was always clean and inviting coming in and out . i was even surprise of the other teachers in the other rooms would take time to say hi or bye to us as we walked in and out of the center. the office staff are super amazing , very caring , and understanding. if we ever move back to Pleasanton, and have more children, we would go back there. read more

We recently moved from the East Bay to South Bay, but attended KinderCare for almost the whole year. I have a 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 year old, so we became close with the Infant, Toddler and Pre-School (Pretty School as my 3 1/2 calls it) teachers! Although, ALL of the teachers knew my children, my husband and me, and, along with the others, were always very kind and welcoming! The Office-Teachers, Ms. Kristi, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Selena, and Director, Ms. Narinder, were always smiling, or laughing, yet incredibly professional! At anytime, I knew that someone would be available if I had a question, or if I wanted to check progress on one of my daughters. I appreciated the learning structure here, yet I also appreciated how flexible they were with each child's individual needs. The programs that they have are nice, and we enjoyed the Summer Events greatly! It was a really well-organized Summer Calendar with a different and fun theme each week, with dress up, or creative art/music, event-outtings, theme-oriented activities, etc.! We especially liked the end-of-Summer party :)...a fun band, cotton candy, dancing, face painting, yummy food and a bouncy-house, what more could you ask for?!!? The Parent's Night Out events are also very nice and allow for a much-needed break for parents to catch a movie and dinner across the street! Our 3 yr. old also loved being in her p.j.'s at school and having dinner with her friends! The teachers always went out of their way to be sweet, offer feedback about the girls, or just help us out. I remember Ms. Kristi and Ms. Adjoke helping me to my car with both girls and helping buckle them in. Or Ms. Diana and Ms. Nadira helping my little ones get their shoes on when it was time to go. They also helped out with big things, like Ms. Carol taping together my 3 yr. old's "share toy" that ripped while at school, or Ms. Gopa talking so sweetly and always hugging my 3 yr. old so sweetly (she now refers to her dolls as "my dear"). The teachers were always sincere and interested in how we were and showed a vested interest in family-life. Ms. Karen always asked how we were doing, and Ms. Adjoke would always ask how work went today and wash away any stress by telling us how beautifully our 1 yr. old did at school that day! Our 3 yr. old was taught the value of friendship there, and I'm sure that a lot of that is through observation...all of the teachers were very kind and friendly towards each other and the best way to teach is by example! Our 3 yr. old still talks about how sweet Ms. Gopa, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Adjoke, Ms. Carol and Ms. Deloris were. She also remembers all of her friends and teachers and loves reading the book with all of her friends' names that Ms. Deloris made for her on her last day...and still uses her "teacher bookmarks"! Thank you so much to all of the loving and sweet KinderCare teachers!!! Each and every one of you made our short stay incredibly welcoming, and we will always think back on your little center as a very loving, open and inviting environment! You all provided so much care and love for our little girls, and that was the most important thing we could have found! read more

Just based on my walk thru and observations: The ratio for the 2s is 1:10- 1:12. For the price, these ratios should be lower. The room they keep these kids in all day is adequately sized but is in need of updating. To expect much more than supervision when the ratios are so high is unrealistic. Especially as they are potty training many of the kids. The TK class had one teacher on the day I went, because there were only 12 students. But she seemed to be yelling while the kids just ran around in the class. This room was seemed smaller than that for the 2s. My child wanted to leave the whole time and the assistant director had a hard time dealing with that and shoed is out as quickly as she could. I would never put my kids here. I can't say enough good things about the staff at this Kindercare location, from the director Ms. Narinder to the educators to the adminstrators. All 3 of our kids spent most of their formative years here from about 2004 to 2011, and some of the same teachers are still here. The Kindercare team recommended that our oldest start Kindergarten a year early, and we were blessed to have Ms. Julie join the Kindergarten team during that time. We were able to transfer our oldest into 1st grade in Pleasanton and she has never looked back, just getting accepted into USC, still a year younger than her peers. And I can honestly say that this Kindercare team played an instrumental role in helping her develop the cognitive tools, the executive functioning skills, the motivation, and the all-around character to succeed in school and achieve her goals. When it came time for my son to enter Kindergarten, the neighborhood Pleasanton school would not accept him due to his high level of anxiety. Ms. Julie without hesitation and with the utmost grace, welcomed Evan to her Kindergarten class, and I was amazed at the transformation, with Evan more than ready to move into 1st grade. He is due to start at Amador Valley High this Fall. Being from Europe, we were unaware of the daycare practices around here. Well, I was agreably surprised by the professionnalism of the infant room and the flexibility of the management! This place feels like a warm family to us now, after 6 months. Nice, cosy, friendly. Our daughter bounded very well with the caregivers, and the opposite is true. They always tell me about her day, respect her feeding habits/schedule, and even if my baby has trouble napping there, she is not reluctant to go and enjoys the many toys of the infant room. The only negative points are the cost (even if this center has been nicely accommodating with our specific needs and planning) and the AC, which is often so high that our daughter is very cold and needs to wear long sleeves and even jackets... in Summer! Besides these two points, we highly recommend the infant room to new parents! read more

My kids have been going there for 3 years and I will never have them go anywhere else!! Ms Brenda is amazing! She cares for my kids as if they are her own!! Ms Nicole is probably my favorite! She has been so good to my babies and my kids are in love with her. They have grown and learned so much. I know I can trust this facility with my babies no matter what. They have and continue to go above and beyond for my kids. I am so thankful I have found them!!! I can't say enough good about this place! My kids get excited to learn and excited to go to school. My daughter gets 'homework'..(mind you she's 3) and she LOVES to do it! They make learning fun for the kids! If I could give 10 stars I would!!! This place is of the charts! I had my children at KinderCare for well over 12 years. I dropped off and picked up at various times of the day. I NEVER saw any child treated poorly, or any different whether their parents were there or not. Brenda was at this Center the entire time my children went there. Speaking of Brenda, in the 12 plus year I was dropping off and picking up my children, I NEVER saw her in a Mini Skirt, or wearing Stilettos. And certainly never mistreated any children. Quite the contrary!! I had many friends that had their children at this center as well, and I know for a fact that all these children, and there are many, absolutely adore Brenda. I must say, the review by Tessa C is totally Bizarre!! It appears to be some kind of jealous rant that is so far from the truth, that it's almost laughable! Truly amazing! I have been to three total daycares trying to reduce my commute and always come back to this daycare. They are simply the best. They care about my chid as if he was their own. They are genuinely concerned for his well-being and development. He loves going there and greets the staff with hugs! Sick children need to be home with their parents. They can not be at daycare and why would you want them there when they don't feel good! FYI - you are the PLAN B when your child is sick! read more

I can not express enough how much I love KinderCare in Pleasanton. I had to return to work after the birth of my daughter and was referred to this center by my coworker, who's son attended all the way up until Kindergarten and her daughter is now a student in the Three's room. My daughter began attending KinderCare at the age of 4 1/2 months and is now a student in the Two's room. My personal experiences with the directors and teachers have been amazing. Every one of them is caring, patient and kind and genuinely cares about the center and children. They truly go above and beyond to take care of the children. My daughter is always smiling and happy when I pick her up and loves her teachers so much she insists on giving hugs or blowing kisses when we leave. The curriculum and programs are wonderful; my daughter is learning new things every day. I am so thankful for the care they provide for my daughter. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for care for their child. read more

The kindergarten teacher is an excellent teacher. She has a high standard and makes sure the kids learn what she teaches by asking them questions and reviewing all that has been thought. I highly recommend her class. My son is a student in that class. read more

We've been sending our twins over to Kindercare since pre-school. When they were old enough to attend the public kindergarden, I decided to move them over to purblic school. But only quickly to find that the kids are loosing all of their good habits from Kindercare at Pleasanton. So I pulled them out of public school and sent them back to Kindercare's Kindergarden. And WHAT A DIFFERENCE it made!!! Ms.Julie is such a wonderful teacher. The kids ADORE her!!! She is disciplinary, and yet made it really fun for the kids to learn. Even my son, who is probably one of the least motivated to study anything except for lego, made huge improvement in his reading and math. I am so thankful for Ms.Julie and the entire staff at Kindercare. They took really good care of the children, with lots of personal attention and loving care. ON top of that, they often had Parent's Night Out, which made it easy for us to have some adult time on our own, knowing that the kids would have equal amount of fun as we did. This daycare is not organized. They have too many kids in the toddler room and teachers can't handle it. They seem to quit instead. I don't recommend this daycare at all! read more

I have worked here since 2007 and in all my years I have seen the many hats that the assistant director Brenda wears- leader, teacher, nurse, child advocate, parent resource, and sometimes even therapist. Spending 5 days a week all day I see first hand the dedication that Miss Brenda puts into her work. Brenda can switch gears from office duties to stepping into a classroom and playing with the kids in homeliving, starting up a game of doggy doggy, drawing pictures with the kids, wiping snot, or even getting all kids to bust out with some yoga moves. The kids adore her and respect her . I work with the older kids and each one of them can articulate why they like Mama Brenda (as they like to call her) and not a single one of them can say anything negative about her. The respect is two fold...children respect and love Miss Brenda because she in turn demonstrates that without expecting anything in return. read more

my name is brittany and i want everyone there to know exactly who i am. kindercare pleasanton is not a good daycare. i have an almost 3 year old that has been in pleasanton kindercare since she was about 7 months old. the infant classroom and teachers are amazing. all 3 of them!!! the toddler classroom is where the chaos begins.. all of the teachers in that classroom are from different countries with very strong accents and bad english, especially when it comes to them writing your child's daily report. i use to think wow and these are the people that are teacher my daughter how to talk?? the two's room is the worst room in the school! the main teacher jessica is ok.. she's very sweet and kind to the children, but from what i've noticed and have been told doesn't challenge the children enough. she's pretty much a babysitter. for some reason they cannot keep a second teacher in that class. i've seen them come and go faster than i have ever seen! one lady came and was there 1 or 2 days, even introduced herself to all of the parents saying she was the new teacher. by the next morning she was gone. another teacher they had prior to her was amazing!!! she was there a few months and quit. i was so sad to see her leave. she was sweet, caring, funny and actually loved being a teacher. i was told from her that kindercare was a joke and all the management is what drove her to quit. the assistant director told me herself that she cannot keep a teacher in that class for some reason and she doesn't know why.... hmmm ms. ajjoke is nice. too nice!! only in front of parents i've noticed. i've seen her chase down kids and get irritated very quickly.. she acts very fake in front of parents. the school itself is old and extremely dirty!!! the entire school smells like dirty diapers all day. even after school. you would think they would change the trash more often!! management....... brenda(assistant director) is really cool and i always got along with her. i always went to her with any issues i had. kristi(assistant director) is very rude and likes to reprimand the teachers in front of parents. she's totally unprofessional!!! narinder(director) is very kind and willing to help you as a parent as much as possible. after i began to notice that this school was not challenging my daughter enough i started to look into other schools. it didn't help that the last few months there she cried everyday on the way to school saying she didn't wanna go there. i don't even think they make sure she took a nap because everyday when i picked her up she was exhausted and had a huge breakdown.. she was obviously unhappy there and me being a new mom didn't realize that... now she is in dublin kindercare and could not be happier!!!! i definitely recommend them!! the school is new and very clean at all times. she has a wonderful teacher that is young and actually loves her job(unlike pleasanton teachers). she's amazing!!! i've seen a difference with my almost 3 year old since day 1!! she comes home happy, content and well rested. read more

DO NOT take your infant baby to Kindercare Pleasanton. My employer offers a discount through Kindercare so I decided to give them a shot. I scheduled a tour in April, when I went in the staff was amazing. The Infant room was so organized and the thing I remember the most was that all the babies were so content and happy. The week before I returned to work I scheduled a trial day where I would leave my son (who is 3 months old) with them for a few hours. This was more important for me than him probably since I have never been away from him. I scheduled a time and when I arrived; once again the infant room was organized and the babies were so content and happy. When I picked up my son later that afternoon the teacher was getting ready to feed him and his eyes were all bloodshot. I asked if he had been crying and she said "oh no no he just woke up from a nap". I really wanted to give this place a chance so i just let it go. The following week was his first day, everything went well with his drop off. I was able to drop in on my lunch break to visit him and he was asleep. He woke up within a few minutes and his eyes were bloodshot again, I again asked if he was crying and they insisted he hadn't been. They said he fell asleep around 12:30 and it was 1:15 when I arrived. I stated in my paperwork that my son does not go longer than two hours between feedings during the day. His last feeding was at 10:55 and it was now 1:15, so I now had a feeling that he cried for food and then just fell asleep. I was there visiting him for an hour and a half. What I witnessed in this short amount of time was very unsettling. One baby woke up in his crib, he was crying and screaming for 10min before anyone even acknowledged him. He was taken out of his crib only to sit on the floor and continue screaming. Another baby who had just learned to roll over was on his tummy crying and screaming and nobody batted an eye. Eventually someone picked him up to move him into a different position, the crying and screaming continued but he was just left to cry it out, he eventually fell asleep. A little girl that must of been around 3 months old cried non stop from the time I arrived at 1:15 till about 1:45 when she was fed. I understand a daycare facility will not be able to meet the needs of my son the way I would at home. However; I am not comfortable with my son crying for 15 plus minutes waiting for his turn to eat. When you enroll you will fill out a questionnaire about your babies personal needs (feedings, sleeping, etc). At the end of each day you will receive a report of how your child did, that report will match up perfectly to the things you stated on your questionnaire. They document every feeding and diaper change but the rest will just be the things you want to hear. I will say that the two teachers in the infant room are incredibly sweet and nurturing they definitely made me feel very comfortable. It is not that they are providing poor care they just do not have the time to meet the needs of each baby in an appropriate amount of time. I also read all the reviews before enrolling and there will always be the good and the bad. So, if you do choose to still take your baby to Kindercare PLEASE do a couple unannounced visits during the day to check in on your baby and see what the room is truly like when they don't have the time to prepare for a visit. Also, if you are currently a mom of a baby in the infant room PLEASE drop in unannounced and check in on your baby. Guarantee you will be very upset with your findings. I withdrew my son shortly after my lunch visit on his first day. Lastly, they get one star simply because I cannot post this with nothing. read more
