I cannot recommend Little Feet Preschool highly enough! Finding the right preschool is such an important decision, and I feel incredibly fortunate that we found Little Feet for my son. What makes this school so special is the combination of exceptional teachers, a nurturing environment, small class sizes, and an incredibly enriching curriculum that goes far beyond traditional preschool education.
One of the things I appreciate most is the smaller, more intimate classroom setting. Unlike larger preschools, where children can sometimes get lost in the crowd, Little Feet provides an environment where each child is truly known, understood, and given the individual attention they need. The teachers recognize each child's unique personality, strengths, and areas for growth, allowing them to provide personalized guidance and encouragement. As a parent, knowing that my child receives this level of care and attention is invaluable.
The variety of activities and learning opportunities is equally impressive! The children participate in Spanish, soccer, dance, and gymnastics, giving them opportunities to develop language skills, coordination, confidence, and creativity. I particularly love the emphasis on hands-on science and exploration. The children have observed the fascinating metamorphosis of live butterflies, built bird feeders, explored how pinecones release their seeds, and participated in engaging science projects that make learning both meaningful and fun.
Another aspect that truly sets Little Feet apart is how actively the school involves the local community in the children's education. Local firefighters have visited the classroom to teach fire safety, and garbage and recycling trucks have come to help children understand recycling and environmental responsibility. I love that the children are learning not only from their teachers but also from the people and experiences in the community around them. These are the kinds of memorable, real-world learning experiences that spark curiosity and stay with children long after the lesson is over.
And it's not all academics! Little Feet makes childhood fun and memorable. The school organizes pool parties, games, field trips, and birthday celebrations for students during school hours. I especially appreciate that these experiences are incorporated into the school day, allowing all the children to participate, celebrate their classmates, build friendships, and create wonderful memories together. It is clear that the teachers put genuine thought and effort into making school a place the children look forward to attending every day. These experiences help foster a sense of belonging and community that is just as important as academic learning.
Above all, Ms. Hamina and Ms. Kendall are exceptional educators. They are genuinely invested in each child's development and go well beyond simply teaching a curriculum. They patiently guide and coach the children in developing independence, emotional regulation, social skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence. They are intentional about helping children build the academic and social foundations they need to transition successfully into kindergarten. Their individualized approach makes such a difference, particularly during these important early developmental years.
What I value most is that Little Feet manages to provide a wonderful balance of structured learning, creative exploration, physical activity, social development, and individualized attention, all within a warm, close-knit environment. It feels like a place where children are genuinely cared for rather than simply one of many students in a classroom.
Seeing my son learn, grow, and become more confident through these experiences has been incredibly rewarding.
