a pizza in a box

We ordered the Buster pizza, which included wild mushroom & sage olive oil, sausage, caramelized onions, mushrooms, basil, & fresh mozzarella! You order at the counter, are assigned a #, & then wait for your # to be called at the pizza window. There was a bit of a wait, as lots of "to go" orders were being done. However, the wait was worth it. The pizza arrived hot & fresh. I loved the crispness of the crust. There are no trash cans on site. So remember to bring all your trash home with you. Also- be sure to pack plates, napkins, & drinks if you plan on eating on site. There are some picnic tables. However, seating is limited, so you might want to BYO chair.

We love pizza farms. We have been to three different pizza farms and after our visit to Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm, we may just have found not only our favorite pizza farm, but some of the best pizza we have ever had! Pleasant Grove is about an hour from the metro area. Through a small town, then out into the fields and down some gravel roads. A very scenic and quiet area. They have several pizza options on their menu including the occasional special. They also have something that no other pizza farm we have visited s had. Pizza fries. We really enjoy pizza fries and theirs are excellent! Made with fresh and shredded mozzarella cheese, garlic olive oil then baked to perfection. Their pizza fries come with a nice side of sauce. The shredded mozzarella with the fresh mozzarella a wonderful combination! After contemplating between the Lola and the Buster, we ordered the Buster. The Buster was excellent! With sausage, mushroom and caramelized onions and more fresh mozzarella, it's one of the better pizza's that I have ever had. But oh wait, there's more. We had planned on stopped for dessert on the way home however at the last minute we decided to try their Blueberry Dessert pizza. Wow! Score! This dessert may be one of the best desserts that we have ever had. We literally could not stop eating it! Full of plump juicy blueberries on top of lemon cheesecake, with honey and fresh squeezed lemon. This dessert was warm and sweet. Lighter than a bar but not over cooked. It just melted in our mouth. I'm already missing that dessert. We both agree that while the pizza is really good, we would definitely return just for that Blueberry Dessert. Really nice area to eat with a live band playing. They had drinks available and an apple cider bar. We will definitely be back here again!

What a great little weekend get-away from the cities!! I have been hearing about these "pizza farms" since I moved to MN a year ago, and I am SO glad that I could check this one out despite Covid-19 raining on our summer parade. We haven't been quite ready to dine-in at a restaurant, so this place is pretty ideal: completely outdoors, bring your own seating, utensils/dishes/drinks/etc. They just hand you a piping hot box (or boxes) of fresh pizza. This was genuinely the best pizza I have had in my life. We went with "The Buster" but asked them to leave off the sausage to make it vegetarian. The flavors were amazing!! Cheesy, umami, salty perfection. The crust was crunchy and doughy. We also couldn't resist the desert pizza which featured lemon, blueberry and cream cheese. The pizzas are huge, and two of us had plenty left over. We hung out for a couple of hours, slowly noshing on pizza, sipping our BYO wine, playing card games, and listening to the live musician (who was hilarious btw). What a great wait to end summer. I am sure I sound like a horrible person writing this--but the only downside for me was that there were a lot of kids playing ball. We were trying to social distance, but unmasked kids kept running by pretty close to us, and their balls kept landing right by our blanket. Not a fault of the business, but just a heads-up if you are planning a trip there during Covid times.

Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm is a perfect treat for escaping the city. How it works is you bring your own blanket, chairs, table settings, drinks, dessert. You order amazingly delicious and fresh pizza. Listen to live music, take a walk around the farm, see the animals while you wait and then relax and eat your pizza on a spacious green lawn. There are many different kinda of pizza to order from and the ingredients are fresh from the farm. My favorite has prosciutto, goat cheese, and honey. The pizza is really really good and for $25 you get a large enough pizza for 2 people or more. They offer different kinds of entertainment throughout the year so check their Facebook to see if they will have live music and what bands are playing. You can always just order pizza for pick up, but if your driving all the way you might as well make a night of it.

Still a 5 star review for me. Even if you are doing Keto, you can still dine with your carby cohorts. PGPF has stellar charcuterie boards. I mean really, so fricken good! Definitely ask if it will be on the menu before you come. Even though I crave their pizza, these boards have my heart.

Expect a 2-3 hour wait at minimum for pizza if you arrive after 5pm. If you come after 5pm, bring your own food. If you order before 5pm, do not expect a refund.

Its a lovely property. Isolated enough that I was beginning to wonder if I had taken a wrong turn somewhere (Siri has taken me to more than one place I wasn't looking for). Finally located it down a dirt road and pulled in. There were only two lots in the vehicle at that time as we were about 20 minutes early so we had time to wander the property. Big open barn space with what appears to be a small bandstand in the corner for music nights. They took our order at a small table. There is a big chalkboard on the way showcasing the different and options. They take cards which is great (some places don't) and we snagged a picnic table right by the door and under the overhang since it was a bit of a rainy day. We were the first order of the day. There is a large pen to the side that has a couple of goats and some other livestock in it. One goat got out and walked right up to the barn and settled in behind me so I'm constantly checking out the corner of my eye to make sure he's not going to ram me. Pizza AND a floor show. Of course, you've come this far for the pizza and overall its pretty good. We got the Buster which is mushrooms, sausage, basil, garlic, onions and a few other ingredients. It doesn't have a red sauce so its a bit of a different flavor profile than a standard pizza. The toppings were good and I would have liked it better but the crust was charred on the bottom. Not your standard wood fired oven char, but burnt. So much so that is what I mainly tasted in certain spots. I'm chalking that up to the fact that we were the very first order of the day and maybe the oven hadn't yet reached the perfect temperature yet. I guess I'll have to get there to try it again once I complete the circuit of pizza farms. It started getting pretty busy once we got ours and started eating. People bringing in tables, chairs, wine and making an event of it. The masses don't lie. Its worth a trip if you are in the area.

I think a pizza farm is my favorite part about living in the Midwest. This is the third farm I've been to, and the pizza may have been my favorite pizza ever, inclusive of non-farms. We ordered one that had prosciutto, honey and goat cheese and it was incredible, and we also ordered the pizza fries (regular pizza cut into strips with marinara dipping sauce) and they were SO GOOD. A to Z Pizza Farm wins out for farm ambiance, but this place is still very cute and COVID-19-friendly as well, not to mention it's only an hour from the Twin Cities. Highly recommend!

Cute little pizza farm about an hour drive from the twin cities. The pizza was great, my favorite was the Georgia pie which had goat cheese, arugula, prosciutto, mozzarella cheese and honey. The honey was different but made the pizza even better. There was some lawn games and nature paths, definitely recommend checking this place out.

Buster: sausage, basil, carmelized onions, mushrooms and cheese! Yum!

We ventured off road on our way back to the Twin Cities to check this place out. Cars were starting to roll in and we had arrived 15 minutes prior to open. With just the two of us, no need for paper plates (use the box) or pulling the bag chairs out- early arrival meant we got a seat at one of the two picnic tables available. The staff was super nice. I figured they wouldn't take orders early, and they didn't, but the gal chatted with me about the menu and process and also nodded to me when she was open, lucked out with being number one! I ordered the Buster, it was a toss up because I almost went with the pig+pork. They also had a feature and another special of the day, both sounded delish. Note they don't do half and half of pizzas but any order you can add to it if you want more ingredients. We had our own water but they had bottled water and soda available. You can also bring your own alcohol. Lots of lawn space for picnicking and barn space to protect from the elements. They even had a mini stage where they obviously have performers and there are a handful of farm animals to keep you entertained while you wait for your pizza. Bathroom is an outhouse though. Glad we went out of the way for lunch here!

Whether you live in Stillwater, MN, or live in Seattle, Washington - a visit to RBA is a must. The moment you drive up to RBA, you know that you are in for an experience to remember. Lorna and Shelly greet you with big smiles, positive energy and true joy in sharing the amazing animal sanctuary they have worked hard to build, grow, and maintain. The animals are the true stars on this farm. Each one of them has a gift just waiting to be shared. Maybe it is a hug from Zeke (one of the mini donkeys), or for you to kick back and lay on Dave (the mini cow) or let Kenny (one of the goats) snuggle up against you - you will be loved. These animals can pick up on how you are feeling, and they offer the healing capabilities they have to offer. Pull up a mat in the pasture and just let yourself relax. I have had the honor of volunteering AND visiting the farm multiple times and every time is a new experience. I'm so thankful to live close enough to visit as often as I would like. Make sure RBA is on your list too! Tips for when you visit: 1. Dress for a visit to a farm with LIVE ANIMALS: Know you will be licked, rubbed up against, sat on and loved on by animals. You will get dirty, and it is fantastic! 2. Don't be afraid of the animals: These animals are worked with every day, and they know you are there to learn and love. Let yourself love on them - let them love on you. 3. Help keep the farm up and running: It is not mandatory to donate, but I strongly encourage to do so. Whether it is $10 or $100, every dollar is spent to keep this sanctuary available for others to experience. If you can't give money, they also love when people want to come and volunteer. 4. Most importantly - have fun! It is an experience you will always remember!

We've been coming to fall harvest orchard for a few years and it seems to get better each time!…read moreEntrance is free but you can buy wristbands to be able to do more of the activities like the giant slide, large corn pit, mini putt, etc. The wristbands are well worth the price for the little ones in my opinion. They're able to do as many activities as they want and there are SO many to choose from. However, you can have plenty of fun there without the wristband. There is a smaller corn pit, animals to pet and feed, and other free activities to enjoy. There are also plenty of food trucks and spots to grab drinks which makes it ideal to spend a few hours there at least! In addition, they do have some apple trees to pick apples from if that's something you're looking for. It does get VERY busy so I'd recommend heading there pretty early. Looking forward to coming back for many years to come!
