If I could give less than one star I would. We contracted with PLC closets about four years ago to do custom built-ins throughout our condo at Kalea Bay. Design and installation was decent- but this summer we had a severe leak from the tub in the master bath, resulting in flooding underneath the hardwood flooring. We were in a panic situation, desperately wanting to get the hardwood up before the water leaked to the unit below us, or mold developed. We reached out to PLC, as they are still working in the same development in one of the other towers, and they said yes, they could send a team over to remove the portions of the closet that were resting on the floor for us, and reinstall at a price of $12,600.
We did have them come out to remove the portions of the closet resting on top of the flooring, which took less than 1.5 hours for $6000. I did reach out to them asking if they would reconsider the price, as we felt this was nothing less than gauging. They did not respond, and refused to give us the drawings for our layout so that we could have someone else reassemble.
We did find a carpenter to reassemble, at much less than the $6500 PLC wanted.
Charging a client $12,600 to partially disassemble and reinstall a master closet built-in system is nothing short of grift. We are in construction in Maryland, and although I realize Naples is a completely different market, I really feel like this company took advantage of our desperate situation. And the fact that Russell, who is the manager would not even take the time to return a phone call to discuss was very disappointing.
I'm sure there are many other closet companies in Naples that have the exact same product with much better customer service, so buyer beware! read more
