On April 17th 2026, we picked up a Pizza. And within an hour or 2, we were both very sick. We got food poisoning and spent two days in agony. My friend and I attempted to have lunch here with my service dog and I was very rudely denied. I tried to tell him she is a service dog and by law he can't deny us service. He then said he was allergic to which I replied she's hypoallergenic. So he then yelled at me to leave and said "why is it all about you?" as I looked around at a completely empty restaurant! My dog is fully trained, well behaved, & well marked as Service Dog. I prefer not to eat where I am not welcome so I will never attempt to go to this establishment again, which is what this owner wants! Therefore I will be filing a complaint with the U.S. Dept of Justice. As a previous owner of a food service establishment I know and understand the laws he is required to follow. Great local place for Pizza and subs. Owners are friendly and have some games to play while you wait

Plaza is a staple for the Newport community. While there is one other pizza business in town the locals know what to get from which. Plaza beats every other place in price by a long shot! The arcade games and laid back, open concept feel make it a fun stop for an evening. There is typically plenty of space to find a table and parking is ample. Counter service is always prompt, with quarters on hand for the games. I highly recommend the BBQ steak and cheese, fried cauliflower, cheeseburger plate or chicken tender sub! read more

The food is here is good! Never had a bad experience with the food or the employees! The owner is always working right along side with his employees! Very friendly people! Reasonable prices too! Eat in or take out. It doesn't matter. You feel just as comfortable eating inside as you would at home! I stopped at Plaza Pizza in the Newport Plaza for a lunch break. The place is very casual which is order at the counter and a spacious carpeted dining room with self serve table and booth seating. There are also a few arcade games including an Elvis pinball machine and jukebox in the corner. The menu offerings include pizza, calzones, grinders, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, fried foods, wings, salads, pasta dinners, and Pepsi products. Beer & wine coolers served here. The prices here are reasonable, most items are well under $10. For takeout, I ordered a Lasagna ($4.95 plus tax) with garlic bread and a Jr Size Eggplant Pizza ($4.75 plus tax). The food was ready in about 20 minutes. The Jr cut pizza had a very crispy crust topped with a good amount of browned fried eggplant pieces, thick pizza sauce and melted cheese. The lasagna was baked in a round foil container, which had soft noodle layers, dense cheese & meat fillings, covered with lots of thick tomato sauce & melted mozzarella cheese. The baked garlic bread was buttery and crispy. Overall, the food tasted pretty good and the price was right (under $11 with tax), though I did not care for the crispy pizza crust which had a dry texture (I prefer softer crusts). This was my groups second time there when being in that area. We stopped by ( 6of us) Sunday afternoon about 3:30. Place was empty. Ordered food from the two young girls working who were pleasant but not overly friendly. To be honest they looked petrified of the owner who was there and helped with order. The food was good. The ham sub we ordered had literally 2 slices of ham with toppings on a very fresh sun roll. Pizzas were good ( we ordered 3 different sizes)onion rings were typical frozen but grease was old. The bathrooms were very dirty and had not been cleaned in quite some time. I went in to wash my hands and walked out. Interior is dated but neat. The chairs in dining room were so dirty with grease and dirt if you leaned back you would stick to back of chair. Not a lot to eat in that town so people might be forced to deal with it. Also they added a charge to use our credit card which there is no sign indicating they do that or we would if paid cash. We will not be back read more

The food was mediocre at best !! I called In a to go order and it took like well over an hour. I ordered a small garden salad and Cheeseburger with French fries and a small order of onion rings..as well as 2 2 oz. bottles of Mt. DEW. And the bill was 25.00 !! That seems like alot to me for a basic lettuce, tom, cuke salad and a Processed patty cheeseburger patty with FF. Very disappointed!! read more

Plaza is pretty consistent with their quality. They are probably the cheapest lunch/dinner option in the area which is nice. They have friendly staff and fun games to play while you wait. They have my favorite pizza over village pizza as well. I will say though that most all of their fried foods (other than French fries) are very greasy and can cause a belly ache! Good for the most part, but a little too greasy for me. I like how laid back it is. I've always enjoyed going in and playing some music from the jukebox and playing some arcade games, especially big buck hunter. Sometimes me and some family members or friends would go in, have a bite and just spend forever playing the games. read more

Wow, the worst steak and cheese sub ever! Do they know what salt is???? It was over cooked and had zero flavor. I would have been happier with cardboard, and as I am a Coke person that they server Pepsi made it all the worse. I can tolerate the lesser beverage for a good meal but the garbage I got was in my opinion washed down with bile!!!
