Took a ride on the motorcycle through NH and visited Lake Sunapee midweek. Very little open in September for lunch. Was told about Pizza Chef and decided to give it a try. Had a meatball grinder and a Chef salad. Was considering the Italian grinder but meat consisted of just ham and salami, same meat put on Chef salad. No complaints and place will work in a pinch. read more

Great food and customer service. Had a delicious Tuna salad and a large cheese pizza.

Fast, friendly service! Yummy grinders and Greek style pizza plus salads, burgers, fries, etc.

The gluten free pizza is amazing. In the top two gluten free pizza doughs I have ever had. A little crunch, right amount of sauce. Delicious!! My husband had the meatball sub and really liked it. read more

Great pizza! Nice service. The place is clean and parking is plentiful. I go there often.

We needed lunch after a day of four wheeling and stopped in here. COVID precautions are in place. Take out only. Order at the counter and wait outside and they bring your order out to you. Picnic tables outside if you wish to dine out..... No slices available on weekends....boo....the personal pizza was decent. read more

Went to Pizza Chef with my fam this weekend and got pizzas and manicotti! It was one of the best manicottis I've ever had. 10/10 recommend! read more

Ate here while up north with family. The outside had beautiful winter lights and ample parking. The service and food were great! We met the owners and they were so friendly and welcoming. They suggested a few dishes to help us decide what to get. The food was fantastic. The buffalo chicken pizza is a must! Will definitely be returning! read more

Great food with even better people. Very convenient and quality always consistent. Order is correct every time.

We loved the buffalo chicken pie. Very nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Highly recommend!

super pizza .. crust isn't super thick and bready.. sauce is wonderful! just nice to have pizza that isn't mostly bread!

Pizza was excellent, service was quick, and prices are fair. No dine in option due to COVID-19, surprising since it's September now and every other food establishment has made dine in available. What I found even more surprising was their lack of disposable dinner ware ....hot out of the oven pizza and no plates, forks, knives...nothing but our hands!??! We were able to get a handful of napkins when we went back into the building and requested dinnerware. Will definitely eat here again, I'll just be more prepared. read more

The listed hours are incorrect, closed Mondays. And because it's Sunapee, they have a captive audience. But they have the BEST pizza and subs. And the pasta meals are awesome too. A tad pricey, but so is everything in Sunapee. Worth every penny. And when I call it in, they know me by name. "Bob". Gotta luv a small town. I've had meals all over the World. This is my fave pizza/sub location. GO HERE! read more

I absolutely love Pizza Chef. I live in Boston and went to school in Vermont. Sunapee was right on my way home, I'd stop in and get pizza from Pizza Chef every time I drove home. They have a thick crust, a slightly sweet sauce, and absolutely amazing cheese. It is the perfect place to grab a pizza and bring it home for the family. read more

Friendly staff, efficient service, good value, and most importantly the food is fresh, they use quality products and it taste great!!

First time there tonight wasnt impressed at all pastrami was cold cheese wasnt melted chicken finger wrap was gross

Just really good pizza. Love this place, and I'm a pizza connoisseur. Head on over ASAP and you'll probably see me because I've been ordering everyday. read more

The best pizza place in Sunapee. It's actually better than the Pizza Chef in New London, New Hampshire but no offense. The Chicken Cordon Blue Pizza is one of my favorite pizzas. I love it read more

I had pizza here when I was down for a weekend on the lake. The place was very close to where we were staying. The pizza is good but nothing special. Just a nice quick lunch after a day on the lake. One large pizza feed four adults so they are good size for not a lot of money which was nice read more

They forgot to make a pizza I ordered, but made the rest of my order. They were not busy, so there was no excuse. One would think they would offer a discount, but they did not. read more

I am a pizza fanatic! Pizza chef in Sunapee is the first pizza I tried after moving to NH. Didn't hit the critic in me's spot but I def enjoyed it! A lot better choice than the chain pizza places and decently priced! read more

You cannot go wrong at pizza chef. the food is always fresh and tasty. I had a large roast beef grinder. Wife had a tuna on syrian bread. Both very satisfied. we've actually been coming here for years with never a complaint. amazed at the low prices on their sandwiches, spaghetti dinners and the pizza. also had the mozzarella sticks and the french fries and both were fine. its a well oiled machine..always enough help....orders move along quickly and its service with a smile. For a dependable but not fancy lunch or dinner...pizza chef is a thumbs UP! read more

My wife and I have dinner here on a fairly regular basis (once a month at least) and we always get the spaghetti dinner with sauce. It comes with a nice garden salad with the tastiest house Italian dressing (our choice) and nice crunchy bread with butter. The portions are great and we never leave hungry. At their very reasonable price, you can't get a spaghetti dinner as good as this anywhere. Always fast and courteous service as well. read more

Great local pizza shop - don't be swayed by some of the negative reviews - pizza is very good, service is fine and price is fair. Our favorite is mushroom and garlic. New in town but already becoming regulars here. read more

Fine pizza, crappy customer service. I don't know if we caught them on an off day but everyone working there was really rude. Would definitely not go there again. read more

Note: This may also be reviewed under "Sunapee Pizza Chef". This is the greatest pizza around. Delicious sauce and toppings. Very friendly staff, they have good salad too. Call ahead for pick-up, or eat-in. Menu is on their website. Great for the family if you have a bunch of people up! read more

To say that Sunapee is a one-horse town might be an understatement. Pizza Chef is the only real option for pizza if you want to stay local. But the pizza is delicious! It's got thick crust, fresh-tomato tasting sauce, and they're generous with the cheese. I am discerning about pizza, and the Chef really earned my praise. One complaint, though, is that they can be skimpy with the toppings. I got a half-and-half with pepperoni and meatballs, and the meatball side was pretty sparse. But the pizza was piping hot, and if you're in Sunapee and hankering for a slice, don't hesitate to order from Pizza Chef and bring it back home with you. (I agree that eating in the shop is less than lovely) read more

I actually like the pizza at Pizza Chef. It's definitely different from the pizza I'm used to, but it's yummy. The subs and salads are pretty good, too. The decor is very rest-stoppish. But this is the best place for food in Sunapee, in my opinion. If you're looking for something a little nicer, drive on up to New London. read more

We ordered a chicken calzone, Greek salad, cheesy garlic bread and spaghetti eggplant. The chicken calzone only a few pieces. The Greek salad only had two olives and half of the salad was feta cheese. Cheesy bread was very greasy. The spaghetti eggplant dinner was the only part that was ok. The people that worked there was nice but the food wasn't very good. If you're looking for something to just fill your stomach and fairly cheap. read more

We ordered 3 pizzas ONE HOUR AGO and they just came! (And the place was empty when we arrived.) They were very apologetic, but there's no excuse - what kind of Mickey Mouse operation is this!? read more

I have never had an unpleasant experience at Sunapee Pizza Chef. Very kind customer service and quick service (other than during peak events). Out of all of the pizza places that I have tried, this place has my favorite pizza by far. Excellent beverage selection as well. However, I do wish that they delivered still. read more

Pizza at its finest. Quality ingredients, fresh toppings and a great staff. Very nice family restaurant.

Pizza Chef has the worst pizza in the Sunapee area.My husband and I called it "PIZZA SHIT".Not Pizza Chef. They use cheddar cheese on their pizzas.Which makes it SUPER GREASY!! If only they used mozz cheese.Prices are reasonable but,it doesn't matter because the pizza is so lousy! The grinders are OK! nothing to write home about. Don't go here for pizza! We will never go back there! read more

Food is pretty decent on average when you can get them to answer the phone and when they're actually open versus the hours that they post the days that they are open always seem to keep changing and they always seem to stop answering the phone before the time that they post that they actually close it's too bad that its the only option around read more

The pizza was only fair - and the customer service was awful. Like unusual rude people working at that pizza place.. There are other pizza shops around with better food and nicer folks working there. Really. read more

Best pizza in Sunapee. Wish they had a chicken with alfredo sauce pizza. Subs are ok. Clean place and a nice after school place for the kids. read more
