Very well kept lanes and cosmic bowl is always a hit. Staff friendly, but it gets super crowded. Make sure to get there earlier than later.

Good food, nice service, and cool arcade. Amazing service but, the cons are when the pin spotter gets stuck or drop a pin

I did not expect this at all. We went to Rock 'n Rail…read morefestival and were pretty underwhelmed by the music and lack of places to sit, so we went to the patio at Set Em Up. It was very busy and we were seated at the farthest table from the front. We waited around 15 minutes to be noticed and had made up our mind to leave and take our chances at the fest when the manager came over and asked if we had been helped. When we said 'no' he told us he would be right back. He came back with Nicole and told us that the waitress who had our table was busy with huge tables and Nicole would be our server. She apologized for the wait and we ordered a couple of beers and our food. Sharon got Polish sausage and saur kraut and I got Indonesian Noodles and added chicken. The menu said it was sweet and spicy Asian noodles with a fried egg on top plus the chicken. Nicole came out right when our beers needed to be refreshed and we ordered a couple more. The food came out and looked great (my egg had a hot sauce smiley face on it) but we had no silverware. After 3 people trying to find silverware Nicole ran over with plastic forks, real knives and napkins. Then it happened. I took a bite. The Indonesian Noodles with smiley face egg and chicken was the best dinner that I have ever ordered at any restaurant! This was not our first time here but we had gone to the back of the menu for sandwiches and never even noticed the entrees before. The entire time I was eating my Noodles I was floating through the air like a cartoon dog that got a dog treat! Highly recommended!!! Sharon also liked the Polish and saur kraut and kept trying to get me to try it but I didn't want to waste a bite of those noodles! Nicole saved the day for us and we will be back many times, I'm sure. :)

I wish I could start this review off with some notable mention, like how awesome I'm at in bowling…read more After a few taunts from my friends...its been discovered that I daintily hop down the lane at a very interesting attempt to bowl...and I'm okay with that...because I came in 2nd place! This was my first time here and let me tell you...Stardust Bowl 2 is everything you'd expect a local hometown bowling alley to be (and I say that in a non-judgmental observational kind of way). 1. There's the local cop who is stationed there -- why is that, I wonder? Is there imminent harm from the local drunk? 2. I'm sure the lady that rang us up was named Marge or Peggy or Mary Sue 3. Everyone has this friendly demeanor that still tells you that they won't throw you no farther than they can catch you. 4. I suddenly felt transported to an 90s version of back to the future. If I'd seen Marty, I wouldn't have been shocked! 5. The fun we had was so wholesome and genuine. 6. A lovely mixed crowd of old, young, families, singles, first dates, and the pro-bowlers. 7. Cheap beers (I had Woodchuck Cider, I don't quite consider that a beer...) Definitely worth a visit!

The guy at the counter was nice and said they'll take care of it, we filled out a couple sheets for the ball info and our info and they said they'll have the pro shop fix them. Well, we got them back the first time, hardly anything was done, the employee of the pro shop was extremely rude with us that day as well. So we left them there to get resurfaced, and the employee told us to just talk to Jason(the owner of the pro shop) when he comes back the next day. So I did, he resurfaced the balls himself. 2 of the 3 are okay, they have blemishes but they're smooth. The third one, my Evoke Hysteria(i bought this ball 3 weeks ago), 90% of the coverstock was taken off to remove the issues. The USBC serial numbers are partially gone so it is INELIGIBLE and not legal to use in my upcoming sanctioned league or tournaments. The GM of the alley told my wife that they're not able to replace the ball and there's nothing they can do. Im sorry, but you acknowledged your lane equipment messed up our balls, you're liable for the ball. Any reputable alley would do right by it's returning customers and fix/replace a ball that was damaged by your equipment especially a recently purchased one. I DO NOT recommend bowling here, unless you want to have your bowling balls destroyed.

Most bowling alleys (if not part of a chain, ie Brunswick), have a dreary vibe to them - dark, dank and unkempt - but not here. We arrived at 1pm for the birthday party, and all of the lanes were already busy. You can tell that this business books a lot of parties - and I can see why! The price per person for parties is fantastic! They have multiple tiers of both children and adult parties, as well as corporate and fundraising events. We had chicken fingers and pizza, and both were better than you'd expect at a bowling alley. The party even had a coordinator; he kept the time very on track, and was very accommodating. I'd definitely recommend Plainfield Lanes as a local outing or party spot!

On the other hand, this place is also a little more high end compared to your old fashion bowling/dive bar places. The location was very easy to find. We used Google Navigation and it lead us directly to the place. If you miss the entrance, it might be a little annoying to backtrack but no big issues. Parking was no issues and it is very big compared to the size of the building. We showed up on a busy Wednesday where it is penny pins so you only pay a penny per pin you knock down. Essentially...the worst you are, the cheaper your game will be. Inside the building is very nice and clean. There are two entrances..one is a "restaurant" and the other is the decent sized arcade and bowling. There is a self serving beer tap. And they do serve food. They do a little star less due to the prices of the food as well. It is better than your traditional bar/bowling food but it is a little more expensive. Also, I do enjoy the service of the self serving beer tap. They had a lot of selections of beer, 1-2 seltzers, 1 cider and ~5 wine selection. Also, they do have a "limit" of ~32 oz where the bartender can allow you or less depending on how you act. I do appreciate that so while you can drink feely, no one is getting drunk. I think we were paying ~.60 cents an oz and it does tell you how much your drink will cost as you are pouring. Also, they do have a small water station will is greatly appreciated. The arcade is decently sized. They do have a lot of selections of games but it is not a place where I would go just for the arcade. The size is good for after bowling or while you are waiting for your lane. Overall, I am very impressed with this location. Food, self serving beer tap, and arcades... I am fan of Twisted Pins and I would be back in the future.

The food was kind of like bar food but had a little bit of an upscale feel to it and everything was very tasty. I highly recommend this spot for a night out or a company function as they were on point for both the night we were there.

The bar is non-smoking, which can be a blessing for the non-smokers. I personally do smoke, but have no problem going outside to do so; you can smoke under the covered area near the door which works for me. Overall, I just love the atmosphere of this bar; friendly, comfortable, and a lot of fun without making you feel out of place for being either too old or too young. They also have a couple of pool tables and free shuffleboard, a DJ with karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 10, and a very diverse crowd. Do yourself a favor and check the place out, cuz it's pretty great.
