On a quest to find the best Orange Chicken…read more On my personal quest to find in my opinion the best orange chicken in town. Today (07/05/24) Im at Ruby Thai. It's a counter serve within the mall food court. This is new compared to the 2 other ones that's been there for quite a while. I decide to branch out from my all time favorite Rice Bowl restaurant and try other orange chicken from other places. First approach, everything is nice and clean and food is presented well. Server was kind and courteous. Now the food. It smells so good you could taste all the food by just looking at them. As it looks on the pictures attached, it truly tastes amazing. Perfectly cut bite size chicken thighs lightly coated with not so bland breading that is fried to perfection. The crispness absorbs the sauce so effortlessly that ensures your every bite comes with bursting flavor. The chicken isn't dry but just perfect. The fried rice tops rice bowl. It wasn't too dry but not too oily. Was just perfect to where the rice still had moisture and easy digestion. Over all awesome food, great customer service and price is not bad.

I feel like the portion sizes used to be a lot more generous so I paid a little more and got a second portion of the chicken. It still was not much. I mean it was more than I needed however, for the price point I was expecting a little bit more I really wanted leftovers, but I think everybody is cutting back, but it was OK and for a quick easy mall food it's good. I do appreciate that this pepper chicken no I think it's sweet onion Chicken is not really anywhere else so I do appreciate that. I can get it here.

I love that they have these incredible egg sandwiches as well as real deal Korean corn dogs. If you've never experienced a Korean corn dog it's very different than an American corn dog because you can get sweet potato or regular potato on the outside or you can just get the really crispy outside batter. then they have all these sauces or cinnamon sugar that you can sprinkle on your corn dog and it just makes it that much better. It's super affordable and a really great spot especially if you wanna try something different and yummy. Everything is made to order and doesn't take too long.

I went with the classic, it gave me the idea of this spot & to try just about every option on the menu. The Classic was coated & fried to perfection. Light & crispy, made for dipping (you can get up to 3 cups for sauces). As I was waiting for the order to be ready, there were numerous condiments to choose from like chili, sriracha, garlic... I went with the sriracha & the chili. I enjoyed both sauces, I like to try chili sauces by the restaurant & theirs is the way I like it. The wait didn't take long at all, especially with me having a Mochinut to hold me over. I went with cinnamon sugar, which is something I'd usually go for anywhere to let me know how good to other flavors will be. All of the flavors caught my eye & there were plenty to choose from (like mango & blueberry to name a couple). Outside of those selections I made, there's another thing they're known for, they egg toast. The Teriyaki one is the one I might have to try first. The staff was nice. As if all that wasn't enough, they also have slushes.

I ordered the Pho with steak and brisket and the shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls were light and flavorful with a touch of cilantro to brighten each bite. The peanut dipping sauce was wonderful with just a bit left over. The Pho was just the right size. I ordered Medium with chicken broth. The accoutrements... onion, cilantro, jalapeños, bean sprouts, rice noodles, and lime wedges allowed me to customize my experience. Each bite was perfect and the jalapeño slices added a nice bit of flavor and heat. Prices are reasonable. Quality was exceptional and food tasted fresh. Definitely worth checking out,

The restaurant operates similar to fast food chain. Hot tea was served in a to-go cup and not in a traditional tea pot. The pho vegetables plate was small with lemons instead of limes, unlike most other Vietnamese restaurants. The pho broth was sugary sweet. The broth was clear without any hint of grease. For a broth made by simmering beef bones, I would expect some grease inside. The noodles had good texture and the spring rolls were great. For casual diners, Pho Da Cao may be good choice. For me, the quality of the pho is not to my standards.

I just love the feel of a food hall, and this place delivers with amazing eats and a fun vibe. My fave spot had closed early for the day, so I made two rounds of the hall before I decided to try some Korean fried rice at Sobahn. Yassss. I don't know that I've ever had Korean fried rice before, but it was quite delish. It was pretty spicy, which they warned me about when I ordered. But hey, who doesn't like a little spice on a chilly Sunday eve? The spice was provided by delicious kimchi; and the rice also contained pork belly (tofu is an option, too, if you prefer a vegetarian meal). The service was super friendly, too. I enjoyed sitting in the middle of the table area and watching families enjoy their dinners. I even did a little holiday shopping after at one of the market's tiny shops. I don't know when I'll be in Tulsa again, but this spot will be on my list!

The ramen is pretty delicious as well. When it comes to portions, they are very generous, so you'll most likely have food to go. Service is fast and super helpful if you have questions. They also have vegan options available.
