Games are organized alphabetically, with clear sections for each manufacturer, making your hunt for your latest video game obsession as easy as possible. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, with a lot of knowledge on the games they're offering if you have any questions. Prices seem pretty reasonable as well! Retro gaming can get expensive. I wouldn't say Phoenix Games is a bargain, but they're definitely not out to nickel and dime you from my experience. Overall, I'm always stoked to stop by when I'm in the area -- whether just to browse, or because I have a specific title in mind.

GameStop's own website says they'll hold pickup orders for three full days, which is exactly why I ordered online -- I've been working back-to-back 12-hour shifts and couldn't make it in right away. I finally got to the store around 5 PM on October 29th, which is still within that 3-day window, and the manager (Eddie or Eddy, not sure of the spelling) told me my order was cancelled and already sold to someone else. The store doesn't even close until 8 or 9 PM, so they didn't even make it through the full day before deciding to sell what I had already paid for. That's just not right. I followed the policy, they didn't plain and simple. I shouldn't have to chase down an order that the store is supposed to hold. It's really frustrating to feel like they didn't care or even bother to double-check the policy. If this is how GameStop handles confirmed online orders, it makes me question why anyone should trust the pickup option at all. Huge letdown.

The games were durable and held up for the event. Even though we were stalled on booking our games (due to the Venue needed to help with the layout), Luiza was still openly optimistic about helping us and in the end we got all the games we wanted. We opted for Ring Toss, Giant Checkers and Clowning Around (Bean Bag Target type of game - see photo). Except for the Giant Checkers, the prices are fairly reasonable. Please note that someone else may think that the price was reasonable...it's all subjective. Here's What I Think.... They have a ton of games from which to choose.
