Ms. Molly's parenting classes, and all the community gatherings, where we could speak so openly and freely about the challenges of parenting were life changing. Our little one has such a foundation of love of community, kindness to all, generosity, love of nature, and brave and fiery spirit that was truly NURTURED & FOSTERED at Village. Best of all, this place has a sense of humor about it. We used to joke that it's Waldorf Light, or Waldorf but willing to crack a joke. Geoff and the whole crew are all super down to Earth, maybe the downest to earth in some ways. Always felt like we could come to them about anything, and we wouldn't be judged even if we were challenging the existing norms. We could truly bring ourselves, and they met us where we were, just like they say they're doing for the kids. Honestly, I wish I went to school here.

From feeding the goats to swinging high up in the sky amidst the oaks, he developed a reverence for nature, and a sense of wonder, learned how to be in community with others, and listened to stories that fed his soul. From hikes on the forest trails to collecting eggs from the chickens, from digging in the dirt to helping prepare the fresh vegan meals, to sewing pouches for treasures like acorns found along the way, it was childhood as it should be. Thank you, VPG! I should add that I know that the campus is in a new place now, but I also know that with Papa Geoff leading the way, the heart of the school, and the deep respect for children will always be there.

He looks forward to going to his VEX IQ Beginner class every week. The instructor takes the time to email parents a summary of what activities they did and what they learned after every class which I find to be very helpful. The lab is located in a shopping center with ample parking. There's a Dollartree and Grocery Outlet next door so you can do your shopping right after drop off which I find as an added bonus. They offer a free trial class so consider taking advantage of that to see if your child is interested in robotics.

The traditional ballet positions and moves along with teaching of the correct names were always incorporated into each lesson. What really impressed me was how a child that was completely disruptive and acting out was handled during group lesson. There was a child who was disruptive during class several weeks in a row upending the lessons for the rest of the kids- with the parent doing nothing ugh. This child was handled firmly, calmly and yet also so kindly by the teacher in order to preserve the enjoyment of the class for the others. The teacher set an expectation with a consequence if not followed, and communicated it respectfully. That level of skill is no small feat, especially without parent support! We love her and how tactful she is with all the kids. She's been our daughter's ballet instructor since she was 3 and just turned 5. They tend to be excited to go to school and participate in activities, and they speak well of their teachers and classmates. The school appears to have a good student-to-teacher ratio, and the teachers seem attentive and aware of their students and their behaviors. Overall, the school tends to be clean and safe. My child also enjoys the food: they say "Chef" makes food they really enjoy. Drop-off and pick-up times are fairly flexible, which we appreciate. Something I really appreciate is that the administration has been responsive to any questions I've had as things have come up. Most communication happens via email, though every so often administration will approach me during pickup or drop-off to communicate something directly. We chose this specific school based on a recommendation from another parent, a coworker who told me how much he liked it. My child is in the three-year-old class, and they're currently working on phonemic awareness, basic addition, number recognition, letter recognition, and a few other things. Overall, I'd say the school provides good value for the price. It's not the least expensive option in the area, and it's far from the most expensive, but I can say confidently that it's very well maintained and appears to be high-quality.
