I was told this is more of a "local" beach and to go here to avoid large touristy crowds. It wasn't too crowded when I went, but it does attract tourists since the "Cancun" sign is displayed right in the front. It is accessible via the R1 or R2 bus. Every time we drove passed the sign, there was always a huge line... if you want a picture there, expect to wait at least half an hour. I wasn't able to take a picture as my friends didn't want to waste time there =(
The beach itself met all of my expectations - warm and clear water, soft sand, readily available bathrooms, playgrounds/swings for kids, huts to sit under for shade, locals ready to sell fresh fruit, etc. Definitely a place to go to relax! read more
