Quite beautiful beach, but I found not suitable for swimming...
This beach gets its name after the Mayan God of Rain, "Chaac Mool. It is located on Kilometer 10 in Cancun's Hotel Zone, right in front of Señor Frogs Restaurant.
This beach and Gaviota Azul beach are adjacent to each other (I guess separated by the small hill), just .5 Km apart so I consider this one big long wide stretch of beach. But waves here can be bit aggressive some time due to the wind which is not the case in Gaviota Azul beach. Its waters seem calm at first sight, but do not let appearances fool you; the undertow is strong and can be dangerous for inexperienced swimmers
Unfortunately, it doesn't have bathrooms or palapas, so if you want to get some shade you will need to rent a big sun umbrella for around 100 to 150 MXN pesos per day. read more
