Came back 2 days in a row this week and still a consistent winner in my books. Friendly staff, adorable and clean shop, great options and REALLY good bowls. Make sure you sign up for points. Not the cheapest place but the points truly helps. This time I tried the Avalanche coconut bowl and the banana olas bowl. Both were delicious but I think the avalanche coconut bowl is my favorite bowl I've tried so far. It's a winter special so get it before they remove it!

Lots to choose from. Ask questions if you need to. Fun, chill, colorful feel and vibe to the place; an oasis in a cold dreary NE winter season! From bowls, juices and smoothies, everything tasted refreshing when I went for my first time just a few days ago. Had the coconut bowl w strawberry, blues and granola. And a pitaya/dragonfruit bowl w some other good stuff in there. Bought a premade juice they serve in an open cold fridge up front that was and a packaged low ingredient choco, peanut butter bar that hit the spot when I needed it. I'd be back for some more healthy eating in the future Nice addition to the area!

A terrific chain that's expanding rapidly and for good reason. Their bowls are packed with quality ingredients including fruit that's always pristine and fresh. The acai bowls are extremely sweet. The green bowls are my favorite. Also more that you can pay to add ingredients but INSTEAD you can also substitute just about any ingredients 1-for-1, like fruit for seeds. The app makes this pretty easy. And you get points good for free bowls!

Nice crew. They get things right. Playa bowls was a welcome business when my girlfriend and I were in search of juices and shakes. Surprisingly, there were very few selections in Marlton. We were not interested in smoothie King, and Playa bowls was perfect. We were in and out. Really no problems. I love that they offer a free sticker of the month. They go great on my bicycle repair stand.

Nutella Bowl

Everytime I've came to this playa bowls they progressively add less Nutella for their Nutella bowls. But I've never had this happen. Usually there is a THIN layer of Nutella underneath the fruits when I ask for the Nutella bowls so I ask for extra Nutella (which they don't give extra Nutella) but this time I got NO Nutella underneath the fruits and instead got a drizzle of Nutella on top of the fruits, which is less then what I would get if I did not ask for extra Nutella.

The Marlton Playa Bowls is the superb experience that all Playa Bowls share. If you haven't been to one yet, certainly give this one a try. The fruit bowls are the best for a mid-morning breakfast, lunch, or dinner dessert, especially in the summer. This Playa Bowls is located in a shopping complex that can be a little tricky to get into, but once you've been there, you'll learn your way around rather quickly. The parking lot can be cramped but look for Trader Joe's in the same complex. You'll find that Playa Bowls sits further back. From the main road you can't really see it, but I assure you it's there and it's worth the visit. TIP: Sign up for their free rewards program to earn credits towards a free bowl or a few bucks off your next one.

This place was pretty good. Back home this is equivalent to a SoBol, but this place takes it to another level though. They have multiple different combinations that just makes sense. For example they had different banana bowls and they had chai pudding bowls each with different toppings and signature combinations. I wish I could of tried a bunch of different ones but I settled with the 'Pura Vida' which had açaí, blueberries, strawberries, granola and honey. This is definitely a place I could see myself frequently visiting if I lived closer to try the different combinations of bowls!

Was able to take my daughter for breakfast here and it was a great place overall. The Boost smoothie was delicious and not too sweet and my daughter's acai bowl was tasty. The store was clean and had a Jersey shore vibe. It's a little pricey was understandable considering the healthier fare it serves.

Even though we set out to try something new each time, we always default to our favorite, the Nutella Bowl.

And the server was great i wanted to try a certain one based on the description of flavors in the menu but when i asked her about it she did say it basically has a candy taste which i did not want so in glad she informed me. The food isnt good. Its not bad either. I think this is a good tea and afternoon tea spot. I wasnt crazy hungry for all the sweets that are part of the afternoon tea menu so i ordered a la carte and was disappointed. The chicken sandwich tasted like it was a cooked frozen patty, boring flavors. The crepe cake i had high expectations for but it tasted like it was from a day old grocery counter.

Communication with the events coordinator Austin was good. He presented all of the package options and then sent a video to me depicting the package I chose. In the video, each savory food item was placed on a separate platter, set atop a gold stand with a sign in front, so you knew what everything was. All the desserts were on tea towers. It was simple and elegant. This is a non traditional tea house so it's not tea, cucumber sandwiches, scones, and clotted cream. There are appetizers like fries, buffalo wings, fried cod and shrimp lollipops, spring rolls, different filled wontons, lobster avo sandwiches, etc. There is a vast array of desserts like custards, different flavor cheesecakes & crepe cakes, chocolate lava cake, strawberry shortcake etc. However, the platters were just placed on the table (like a casual house party) and different items were on the same platter like chicken with shrimp with one set of tongs, and all without any signage. So it was a cross contamination concern and it looked tacky. I heard people asking what was what and quickly grabbed a server and pulled her to the side to inquire where the stands were, and why are certain items together on 1 platter. She didn't address the stands, but clarified what each food item was, brought out additional tongs, and then started to utilize the tea towers for the rest of the desserts. Everyone loved the food and the different teas, so I didn't let the food setup snafu ruin the party. Afterward, I received a lot of compliments and some were saying they would like to host their own tea party there. Austin was not available once the food was brought out. I spoke with him the next day to thank him for a mostly seamless event, the usage of the beautiful space, and the concern with the food setup. He apologized and advised the stands are no longer used because a platter slipped off a stand and fell on someone's foot. He said he would speak with the kitchen manager about placing land and sea food items together and the lack of signage. I will return, and I would recommend them for tea service. If you rent the space I would just suggest clarification on the food setup beforehand.

I've visited this location several times and it's consistently "meh". Nary a friendly greeting to be had, day nor night. I hate places that make me feel like they're doing me a favor. It's just uncomfortable. I've only had the Frutella bowl (granola, banana, strawberry, Nutella, peanut butter, and coconut flakes). They are always skimp with the acai and it's often watery. The fruit is fresh (as it should be) but they aren't generous with the serving size. I think they forgot to add the Nutella today. There was no trace of it whatsoever. Come to think of it, I barely tasted any peanut butter either! I don't understand why every time I order in person, customers who place their order after me always receive theirs ahead of me. I always order one simple item, and it's never crowded in there. From now on, I am diving the extra mile to Playa Bowls.

The girls in the shop seemed miserable and were not friendly at all even though no one was there at the time. On the keypad there were only options for tipping 15, 20, 22% or other. I choose other but you had to enter in some tip amount, there was no option to skip which was bizarre. When I received the bowl, there was less than an inch of the açaí and it was very watered down. Açaí at other bowl shops is normally a frozen consistency. The bowl was majority of toppings and no açaí. I was very disappointed in the size and quality of the bowl and won't be back for anymore bowls from here.

Just going to stop by since I was in the area. The bakery is in this shopping center and the parking lot was pretty full when I arrived Sunday afternoon. I agree with the reviewers that this place is small. I felt that I wanted to take my time looking at items but the space felt crowded while looking. Overall they had many options to choose some but there were some empty looking shelves in the far back. I managed to get a few items to try and a slice of cake. There are kiosks to also order drinks. The line was long but moved quickly. The items I tried: Cheesy hot dog: pretty good! very sweet bread with a tiny hot dog. White Chocolate strawberry: delicious strawberry filling. The bun was soft and not overly sweet. Berry bun: I got the very last one! DELISH! The bun of milky, soft and berry filled. My favorite probably. Taro bun: HUGE! Love the taro paste but the bread was alittle off since there was seeds in it. Not loving that texture Tiramisu cheesecake: very good fluffy cheesecake. Would have liked more tiramisu/coffee flavor. Chocolate bun: Another favorite. Very good chocolate fudge on the inside. Wish I bought 10 of theses. Egg tarts: I got the two pack. Wish I got the full box (maybe next time). Flaky buttery crust with sweet egg custard. Also a favorite. Overall everything I got was really good. I also loved that the prices were very affordable ($2-5). The only thing I would add is maybe to have more a description and allergens added to the cards so people with allergies could identify what they can and cannot eat. Cant wait to come back and maybe try one of the drinks :)
