It was like they were lazy and couldn't be bothered making an acai bowl (bowl containers?) with the toppings already on top and bowl sealed. For the amount of money charged, I would expect a nicely made acai bowl instead of the DIY. The acai with the two toppings tasted very sweet, which was expected. I've been to other places which specialize in acai bowls and for similar prices or less, I can get a custom made nice looking acai bowl with lots of interesting toppings included, not just 2 ordinary toppings. Look up Playa Bowls, which set the bar on how acai bowls should be made. This place really needs to put forth some effort in making acai bowls nicely for takeout customers. DIY acai with minimal toppings is not acceptable.

I stopped by for lunch at Hot Doogy in the Natick Mall, which had their soft opening on Friday December 13, 2024 and grand opening on Saturday December 14, 2024. This food court location is order at the counter with pickup counter and also offers two touchscreen ordering kiosks (card payment only), and pickup order lockers. They offer a good variety of special Brazilian style hot dogs ($8-$16 range), chicken nuggets, rice bowls, fries, onion rings, cold drinks, milkshakes, acai shakes, ice cream sundaes, and kids menu. I ordered the Chicago Doogy ($11 plus tax)-grilled beef hot dog, yellow mustard, relish, diced onion, tomato wedges, dill pickles, sport peppers, celery salt on a poppy seed hot dog bun. I also ordered a Crispy Chicken Bowl ($13 plus tax) which had soft yellow rice, shredded cheddar cheese, edamame soybeans, lettuce, tomatoes, corn, sour cream and breaded pieces of crispy chicken topped with a creamy drizzle. I was also given a 15 percent off grand opening discount. My order was bagged and ready to go in about 7 minutes. The Chicago Doogy had a good firm bite and a good mix of ingredients for a tasty hot dog. The crispy chicken bowl was made well (not slapped together) and was very filling to eat. Overall, Hot Doogy is a still good place to stop for hot dogs and other eats and treats, now open at the Natick Mall.
