Playtime is one of the relatively new indoor play areas to open its doors in Belfast and so it's still clean and fresh inside. What did our parents do without places like this to park the beloved nippers and have a good chat to their chums?
Playtime is advertised as suitable for under 7s but I feel that anyone over 5 would feel a bit bored and confined after half an hour as it's on the small side. Mind you, I have two small boys who seem to need half an acre each of personal space.
Anyhoo, for under 5s or easily pleased under7s, Playtime makes for a good couple of hours. There is the usual kind of big soft things for toddlers to play with (in a separate area which is important in keeping them safe from children like mine). There other area is well equipped with slides and stuff to climb on and jump on and generally let off steam.
There is also a café area where you can pick up healthy-ish snacks and teas and coffees for the grown ups. Entry is £3.25 for under 3s and £4.25 for over threes so a trip here with a couple for kids and a few snacks will set you back about £15.
