Having overexcited myself at the prospect of Arcadia's sweetie selection (the relevant review will explain all), a sudden dash to the nearest toilet was urgently required, and spotting a sign for public loos, a consequential dash was made.
Noting the four star 'Loo of the Year' award on the wall (emm, they weren't that great), I suddenly wondered where it was that I found myself, and why these toilets had gotten such a prestigious award. All I knew was the loos were situated in a park off the Lisburn Road, but I had no clue as to its name.
Anyways, toilet run completed, my sister and I decided to have a wee sit down and soak a rare five minutes of Northern Irish sunshine. The park was well-kept and clean, and fairly busy for 5pm. Teens were chilling out on the grass, kids were mucking about in the playground, and a couple were frolicking on the ground not too far behind where we sat. Mmm...moving swiftly on...
After the five minutes were up (timed perfectly, of course), my sister and I ventured out a difference entrance / exit to the way we had come in. Spotting a sign for the park name, we realised that it was called Drumglass Park. Ahhh, right. Never heard of it.
We were bidden farewell by a old friendly cat, who seemed to have either over-exuded herself, or had had one to many, as her balance left a lot to be desired, and she kept tripping over my sister's foot. Apparently neither were the case, for it was at that moment that my sister spotted that this fluffy feline was down a leg, bless her.
It did take a good few moments to pull the two companions apart, but the time had come to leave this pretty park, with its little idiosyncrasies. A pleasant visit indeed. read more
