This is a lovely park in a picturesque setting near Strangford Lough. The park itself is 1.5 kilometres around and is an easy stroll for an unfit dog walker like myself. My dog loves it here as there are lots of bushes for him to run through and he often meets lots of other dogs to sniff. There are two large grass football pitches, two gravel pitches, a bowling green, a cricket pitching area, a basketball net and a great brand new children's play park full of state of the art equipment such as a climbing wall and a zip line. The park can get a little stinky, as there is a shallow canal, which runs the length of it. I would complain about the lack of dog bins on the walk, as there is only one official one at the entrance to the park. There is a recycling area so you can combine dumping rubbish with a walk in the park. Be careful if you walk your dog off lead here as one side of the park is next to a main road and there are only a few shrubs between your dog and the cars. Plenty of parking and a great place for kids - a nice experience. read more
