Four friends and I stayed at the Guest House for one night last week on an Oregon bicycle tour…read moretrip. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the owners, Gary and Linda, who warmly made us feel welcome. They offered a lot of great local, insider, information about the surrounding terrain, roads, and (few) restaurants. Gary even called the owner of the local bakery (Lion Mountain Bakery) at home that evening to order our sandwiches so that they would be ready for us when we rolled out early the next morning. The Guest House is very well-appointed. We stayed in a 6 person room (3 sets of bunk beds), which was very comfortable. Showers were plentiful and very clean. There is a nice outdoor hot tub for use, although after the long day in the saddle and a late night at the local brewery, we skipped it and opted for more sleep instead. Gary and Linda have really figured out the needs of their guests, which are often road cyclists or mountain bikers. For example, there is a nice large locked room for many bikes, a bike repair stand, chain lube, tools, etc. Also, the homemade breakfast in the morning was really fantastic. Coffee was great (expect that in Oregon), and Linda's homemade granola and smoothies were very good- perfectly suited for our long day on the bikes. I can't recommend this place more highly. Stay here if you're passing through. You won't regret it!

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality made us feel so welcome, like we were right at home. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, with so much to see and do. Alyssa's breakfast was the highlight of our morning--delicious and made with such care. The animals on the property were adorable and added so much charm to our stay. It was the perfect place to unplug, relax, and truly enjoy everything Alyssa has created. We're already talking about coming back for a longer trip and bringing our family and friends along to share this little slice of paradise. We wish Alyssa all the success in her dreams and future plans--we can't wait to come back and see it all unfold. Thank you for making our getaway so special. We'll definitely be back!

I had all the details of how to get to her place and what time I was able to check in. The countryside on the way to sweet springs is beautifully breathtaking.  I was greeted by the hostess, Alyssa. She was very welcoming and friendly along with her dogs , pigs and a few chickens. She showed me to the chalet. The first things I noticed was how clean it was and beautifully decorated. Alyssa has thought of everything to make your stay easy and comfortable. The special touches were nice. I loved the electric fire place, make up remover cloth and I spent the morning in the fuzzy robe and slippers provided. A fresh breakfast of pancakes and  fruit were hand delivered. Absolutely delightful! My stay was quick as I was just passing through but it was wonderful and I would go back for a longer stay to check out the area and relax a little longer at the sweet springs chalet. I highly recommend you check it out and book a stay!

It was a bit dark but we could definitely tell how cute and adorable this place was from the outside! The Victorian style architecture, the details, and the decorations around the house were phenomenal! The dining room, living room and even the restrooms were all filled with an antique feel furniture, books, etc. I loved the details on the door hands to the door hinges. My boyfriend was in awe of all the working sliding door hinges as they were older style - but definitely new. The breakfast was amazing - as I believe Josh cooked for us. I was stuffed! Even the breakfast service was delicious as Josh and Miriam joined us for a morning conversation as well~ The next morning, we went around the house to have a better look and you can definitely tell they put in a lot of work! Inside the living room is an old photo of how the house looked. And if you see it now - it looks exactly the same! Their yard looks amazing to have a cup of coffee/tea in and even have a little train area in the back! They also have a cat who is very friendly. (The cat is not allowed indoors FYI.) Overall, we LOVED this place and is definitely a place to stay at! This has so far been the BEST bread & breakfast place I have ever stayed at. I hope I can come back to Eugene just so I can come and stay here again~ (I also added some photos!)

Our host was charming, offered many suggestions for dining around town, and delighted in telling us about the garden he has put considerable work into (including a sheltered, enclosed "playground" for the indoor kitties who reside in the hosts' private apartment.
