I've purposely held off on writing this review because I feel it is important to get as close to…read morethe full picture, before spreading the word (whether good or bad). Especially when it comes to a service or program that involves children. When I was searching around months ago for an educational toddler daycare I researched about a dozen places and actually reached out to maybe half of them. Something that I was thoroughly surprised about was the poor customer service I received. Whether it was severely delayed responses, terse and rude responses or no response at all ...I experienced it. Wendy Spencer the Director/Owner of Woodcreek Montessori responded quickly and was very cordial. In addition to the customer service being on point, I quickly found out that the price was right. In regards to the other sketchy places: I get that anything involving kids can be pricey but when you couple that with poor customer service I would have been an idiot to send any sort of money their way, let alone my offspring! For example the Montessori school that is no more than a mile away from home, never responded to an inquiry I sent via their website, then when I called it sounded chaotic and it didn't help the lady who barely spoke a word of English (not to mention they were twice as expensive as Woodcreek Montessori). Please, no and thank you. Getting beyond the research phase, Wendy was phenomenal throughout the entire enrollment process as well. Informative and patient is exactly what the doctor ordered for someone going through it all for the first time. It is nice to encounter folks who are cognizant of the typical concerns and fears us newbies face and she showed nothing but understanding and patience for my seemingly endless questions. And it wasn't even like they were hurting for business, my kid was on a waiting list for the days we wanted! You know what I am getting at? Some business will be over the top friendly because they need the numbers to add up at the end of the month, not the case here. We pick up a happy, fed, educated and WORN OUT kid. Talk about a priceless scenario.

I can't recommend this place as a parent. In my experience Wendy puts her own personal schedule…read morefirst vs that of the schools. The other thing I have experienced is that she selectively chooses certain types of children for her class. So if your child does not fit her "profile" expects to be looking elsewhere with little to no notice. This was extremely disappointing. My children are flourishing elsewhere.

My son had an incredible year with them, and their dedication really shows every day. They truly get the Montessori philosophy. They created such a great environment that balanced independent learning with gentle guidance. They didn't just teach academics; they built his confidence, curiosity, and emotional independence. They really saw him as an individual, helping him with his strengths and encouraging him to try new things at his own pace. Thanks to them, he's doing great in elementary school and is really thriving. The self-regulation, problem-solving, and love for learning they taught him have given him a real edge, both socially and academically. If you're looking for teachers who are truly invested in your child's overall development and future, you'll find them here. We're so thankful for all the love, patience, and expertise they put into our son during such an important year.

UPDATE - Ms. Janet has not responded to my lengthy email (discussed below), essentially ignoring…read moreserious and alarming concerns about the main teacher in the Green class. She also has not responded to this review, but has felt the need to respond to everyone else. As a parent, please read my concerns and consider if you find it acceptable that the DIRECTOR of the school (Ms. Janet) has failed to respond to or address these serious concerns. At the outset, importantly, do not listen to the five star reviews from parents who attended this school years ago and no longer have actively enrolled students. It also feels concerning to suddenly see an increase in positive reviews specifically focused on the Green class after multiple parents raised serious concerns. As a parent who personally experienced these issues and attempted to address them directly with administration, it makes me question whether the school is trying to shift attention away from legitimate complaints rather than properly addressing them. I wanted to share my experience for other parents considering this school because I genuinely wish someone had warned me beforehand. My son was in the Green class from August-October 2025. While I initially had a very positive impression of the school overall, our experience in this classroom completely changed that. (The yellow and orange teachers were AWESOME!) From the very first meeting, within minutes of speaking to me, the Green class main teacher told me my son needed to work on his fine motor skills, but when I asked for clarification or examples, there was no clear explanation provided. During that same conversation, the teacher casually suggested he might have ADHD, only to later contradict that statement and say he did not. As a parent, hearing something like that so casually and without proper evaluation was extremely concerning. What disturbed me even more was hearing private information about other children in the class being openly discussed with me. Sharing sensitive information about students is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Throughout our time there, I also noticed very little meaningful interaction between the teacher and students. My child spoke positively about other teachers at the school, but never about his experience in the Green class. The Green class teacher also spoke negatively about other teachers, which added to my concerns regarding professionalism. I voiced my concerns to Ms. Janet on more than one occasion while my son was enrolled. After we left the school, I even sent a lengthy email detailing my experience and concerns. None of my concerns were addressed, and I was completely ignored. When we left the school, I still tried to leave on good terms. I brought small gifts for each class and attempted to say goodbye, but I was completely dismissed by the main teacher. That interaction honestly confirmed everything I had already been feeling about the lack of professionalism and respect. I also have documentation of everything, including emails and messages showing the way I was spoken to on multiple occasions. The communication I received was often dismissive, negative, and unprofessional. I would be more than happy to share those screenshots and emails with any parent considering this school so they fully understand what they may be walking into. It is disappointing because I truly wanted to love this school, but the lack of accountability and disregard for parent concerns made me lose trust entirely. As a parent, you expect concerns about professionalism, confidentiality, and your child's wellbeing to be taken seriously. I am sharing this because I do not want other parents or children to go through the same experience we did. Please do your research before enrolling your children here. All the excellent teachers are gone.

Please read if you're a parent considering this school!!…read more Today my newly diagnosed Level 1 autistic son was kicked out of The Goddard School in Roseville, and I'm honestly still trying to process it. I am heartbroken, angry, and deeply disappointed. My son is extremely high functioning. We have worked incredibly hard to support him -- I drive two hours twice a week to get him to occupational therapy, he will be receiving ABA support, and we've put countless hours into helping him thrive. Because of that work, he doesn't even qualify for speech therapy. He is a bright, loving, energetic three-year-old who deserves patience and understanding like any other child. Instead, we were essentially told he could not stay unless we provided a full-time one-on-one aide ourselves -- something that would mean paying tuition while also paying privately for someone to supervise him all day. As a parent, there is nothing more painful than watching your child start forming friendships and getting comfortable somewhere, only to be pushed out because he needs a little extra support. If a school is not equipped or willing to support neurodivergent children, families deserve honesty about that from the beginning. It would save parents and children a tremendous amount of heartbreak. Right now my momma heart is just broken. My son deserves a community that sees his potential and supports him -- not one that shuts the door on him. If you're a parent of a neurodivergent or high energy child, walk the other way. Thank you for reading.

My job has taken me to dozens of schools, clubs, and daycares and Miss Patty's is the cream of the crop. Miss Patty clearly loves teaching and can make anything fun. She employs fantastic assistants and the actual place is so cool- the classroom is cheerful and fun, but not distracting, and the yard is AWESOME! A giant tree swing, a garden the kids can water and harvest from, and a chicken coop where kids under supervision can sometimes go look for eggs are just the highlights of the huge, fun yard. Kids actually WANT to come and stay here, and they don't even realize how much they're growing- academically, socially, in problem solving, etc. Every time I get a new client, I secretly hope they'll be going to school at miss Patty's, and if I had a kid of my own, I would absolutely send them there.
