Unfortunately, the reason we ultimately decided to leave was because we no longer felt our children were safe. We had ongoing concerns regarding repeated aggressive behavior involving the same student. From our perspective, the school's ownership and management did not adequately address the situation despite multiple incidents and conversations. We tried to be part of the solution. We met with the owner, Dee, and even offered to personally pay for a behaviorist to come to the school and provide professional support. We also suggested creating a resource board to help connect families with behavioral specialists and other services. Instead, we learned that the student was being moved between classrooms rather than the situation being effectively resolved. On one particularly upsetting day, our son was physically hurt four separate times. To our knowledge, no child was sent home as a result. Initially, Lisa led us to believe that the problem might have been specific to the relationship between this child and our son. However, after speaking with other parents, we learned that other families had experienced similar concerns. I was also personally told by a teacher about a serious incident involving that student and a staff member. After these experiences, we began visiting the school more frequently and reducing the amount of time our children spent there whenever possible. Once our new school opened, we were finally able to move them. The reason I am still giving this school 4 stars is because of the TEACHERS. There are some truly wonderful people working there, and they deserve recognition. Ms. Corina -- what an amazing human being. Thank you for everything you did for our family. Ms. Monique -- our baby girl received so much love from you, and we will always appreciate it. Ms. Morgan -- thank you for all the love you gave our children. Ms. Vanessa -- thank you for teaching our kids so much and caring for them with so much love. Ms. Michelle and Ms. Mai -- thank you for all your efforts and everything you did for our children. And to Kim and Sam at the front desk -- thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and for greeting us with a smile every day. Our criticism is directed toward the way management handled our safety concerns, not toward the wonderful teachers who cared for our children. Lastly, in our experience, the school is significantly overpriced considering the student-to-teacher ratios and the level of services provided. We are grateful for the teachers who loved and cared for our children, but as parents, safety has to come first.

Our daughter Harlow attended Goddard from age 2 to 4. We were so scared to have anyone watch her. Goddard is the best decision we ever made for her.. for our family. Every teacher and office staff cares about your child and treats them like their own. Mrs Kim and Sam in the front office are always dressed up in costumes participating with different themes and events. There were times Harlow would have bad days in the morning being so little and they would fix them. Goddard is always decorated and they do so many fun activities with the kids! They do parties, holiday events, train rides, music mat, soccer, kona ice, yoga, trunk or treat, book fairs, picture days, water days, a Christmas recital and so much more. So much thought, energy and time goes into everything they do. Goddard leaves no one out, every culture and family is celebrated. The communication at the school is fantastic. They communicate with an app and send pictures daily.Even their snacks are amazing. Harlow never wanted to leave when we would pick her up. She always had new art to show us. Their curriculum is top tier. Harlow grew so much accodemicaly. Mrs Tabatha is why Harlow is potty trained and took naps. She thought her to share and start to read. Harlow loves her and has a picture she drew her up on our fridge. I wish we could keep her there forever. I cried when we moved her to public school this year. You get what you pay for. A year before joining RMA I started asking moms in the community where their children go to…read morepreschool and if they like it, and time and time again RMA came up as being the go to preschool in the area. They have a waitlist for a reason. The grounds are beautiful with open space for kids to play and there are two locked entry points w security codes to get in; the grounds are fenced to keep kids safe. The classrooms are clean and Montessori educational items are placed at eye level accessible for children to interact with. Montessori language, such as calling the activities "jobs," is used, along with the traditional "walk around the sun" ceremony that takes place on a child's birthday. The school uses an app to communicate with parents showing pictures of their child during the day so you know what they're working on. I made it a point to check in w teachers at drop off/pick up time so there was always clear communication and collaboration with the school. The staff were all professional and kind in our experience. Our child has grown so much in the years we have been at RMA. At a recent elementary school assessment we were told she scored a grade level above academically on the kindergarten readiness test. Our child loves science after having weekly hands on science experiments in the classroom; she mastered letter and number recognition; she can write her name and has developed critical thinking skills thanks to her teachers and a school environment that encourages curiosity. The performances the school puts on throughout the year are really precious. The kids work hard at learning the songs and a lot of care goes into the events. I don't know the circumstances behind the negative reviews here, but I fully respect that Ms. Janet does not air any dirty laundry on a public forum like this. All I know is that RMA has a responsibility to provide a safe and healthy environment for the children enrolled, and from our own individual experience, they have done so. Our experience with RMA has been nothing but heartwarming and positive and we will miss it.

UPDATE 2 - While I respect that some families may have had positive experiences, it is important to…read morerecognize that not every parent or child undergoes the same kind of treatment, communication, or support from lead teachers. One parent's positive experience should not be used to dismiss or respond to concerns raised by other affected parents. There is no need to invalidate someone else's experience when the focus should simply be on sharing one's own. In our experience, concerns regarding ADHD and behavioral differences were discussed, but what was difficult was how those concerns were approached. Sensitive matters involving a child's struggles should remain professional and parent-centered, rather than becoming discussion points in ways that affect relationships with other families whose children were friends with mine. I have heard two of the parents approach me and letting me know that my child's conditions were discussed with them and told their kids not to be friends with him. Despite being uncomfortable and concerned, they informed me about this so I would be aware of it. What became especially concerning was when my child began coming home visibly distressed, crying, and repeatedly expressing that he felt pressured by the green class teacher into accepting the blame for an incident he consistently said he did not do. From our perspective as parents, it appeared that instead of carefully understanding the situation, there were moments where he felt pushed to agree with accusations or accept responsibility despite insisting otherwise. Watching a young child become emotionally distressed to the point of crying at home and describing feeling pressured in this way significantly escalated our concerns and aggravated an already difficult situation. More importantly, identifying concerns should also come with meaningful support and guidance. Instead of collaborative strategies, accommodations, or support to help my child succeed, it often felt like the child was only commented on having ADHD and also blamed for behaviors -- such as moving quickly through activities or transitioning to another task instead of staying engaged in one work for extended periods. Expecting a young child to remain focused on a single activity for more than 30 minutes without understanding developmental needs or learning differences did not feel supportive. When I approached the lead Green Class teacher to discuss how we speak to and guide our child when he was not listening, I was told that she had significant experience handling children and did not like parents giving suggestions. I found this response dismissive because, during a meeting when we genuinely asked for suggestions or strategies to better support our child, we were told there were none and were instead asked the same question in return. However, when I attempted to offer open suggestions based on what worked for our child, this was the response I received. This felt particularly concerning when it already seemed as though there were ongoing struggles in understanding, handling, and supporting our child's individual needs rather than working collaboratively to help him succeed. Comparing a 6-year-old child to a younger child, such as a 4-year-old, was also unhelpful and discouraging. Every child develops differently, and comparisons do not provide constructive support or understanding for a child's unique strengths and challenges.

Especially when it comes to a service or program that involves children. When I was searching around months ago for an educational toddler daycare I researched about a dozen places and actually reached out to maybe half of them. Something that I was thoroughly surprised about was the poor customer service I received. Whether it was severely delayed responses, terse and rude responses or no response at all ...I experienced it. Wendy Spencer the Director/Owner of Woodcreek Montessori responded quickly and was very cordial. In addition to the customer service being on point, I quickly found out that the price was right. In regards to the other sketchy places: I get that anything involving kids can be pricey but when you couple that with poor customer service I would have been an idiot to send any sort of money their way, let alone my offspring! For example the Montessori school that is no more than a mile away from home, never responded to an inquiry I sent via their website, then when I called it sounded chaotic and it didn't help the lady who barely spoke a word of English (not to mention they were twice as expensive as Woodcreek Montessori). Please, no and thank you. Getting beyond the research phase, Wendy was phenomenal throughout the entire enrollment process as well. Informative and patient is exactly what the doctor ordered for someone going through it all for the first time. It is nice to encounter folks who are cognizant of the typical concerns and fears us newbies face and she showed nothing but understanding and patience for my seemingly endless questions. And it wasn't even like they were hurting for business, my kid was on a waiting list for the days we wanted! You know what I am getting at? Some business will be over the top friendly because they need the numbers to add up at the end of the month, not the case here. We pick up a happy, fed, educated and WORN OUT kid. Talk about a priceless scenario.

Ms Yo Yo always makes homemade snacks and treats, all very healthy and the kids get to try many different Japanese kid friendly meals (miso soup, Udon, etc) as well as usual American dishes. Machiko and Ms Yo Yo speak fluent Japanese and our kids have learned some Japanese too! We also had Edison's little brother join when he was 8 months old and he never cried at drop off and was a stress-free transition! They try very hard to work with your baby nap schedule too. They take 3 month through preschool aged kids, with developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum for each age group. Our daughter is part of the infant room - where they use the app, Kinderlime. Over the course of the day, I receive alerts about her diaper changes, her naps, her feeding schedule, and photos of her activities. (seriously - my kid has been painting since 5 months old! hah). Through the app they can message parents directly and respond to questions. The staff are incredible - the infant room teachers are absolutely wonderful and feel like an extended part of our family. They are always willing to provide me with advice, or simply chat about my child. Even the teachers from the other rooms know our daughter's name, and I often hear stories and feedback from Ms. Suzanne herself about my daughter. It's truly individual care, and everyone knows every child. Now that she's almost 1.5, my daughter comes home with all kinds of things she has learned from AKL - like sign language, and amazing motor skills, and new songs. I know that working moms often feel guilty about time apart from their child, but I know that my daughter gets so much more out of being at AKL than I could ever give her alone. If you're considering going here because the facility is cute and the teachers are nice, run. Please run. The only reason I stayed so long was the two teachers my children had cared so much about them they kept them safe from Other aspects of this school that are just terrible. However the upper management is so terrible that all of the good teachers are gone and the ones that have stayed are almost being abused. It's truly horrible. The new teachers, I couldn't tell you, they have never introduced themselves to me. I was scolded by an apparent new staff and few weeks ago, who I don't even know the name of (she wears crocs and has long brown hair). I thought she was a parent at first. This all comes from the top, my biggest issue, and the issue most people have had is with the Director Suzanne. She's the epitome of all the things we've learned not to do when raising children, yet she raises the children with all the toxic aspects we now know are bad. I've even heard her talk about Mexican women's eyebrows as "chola" brows and multiple times she's tried to sell me on her daughters MLM. Teachers have told me they yell at the kids when no one's watching. I went to the owner, Edmond, multiple times but he really does not care. It's wild, he owns this business and has a daughter but my emails were met with kind words and literally nothing else. Expect when Ms. Suzanne confronted me about a private email of concern I had send Edmond about her that she had read. We ended up arguing at drop off and I was late for work that day. The schools been claiming they're raising Tuition to fix the buildings, they've been claiming this for years, I have never seen anything fixed, only things deteriorate more. The only thing I experienced was the lock on the gate not working for months, and nothing being done until a homeless man entered the school and they had to do an active shooter drill. Yes, babies, and toddlers doing their first reason active scooter drill. The only reason I know this is because a teacher was so shaken at pick up I made her tell me. THE SCHOOL DID NOT EVEN LET PARENTS KNOW. I hope they get it fixed because it's a beautiful school with some very nice teachers that they underpay and are literally horrible to. I am not the only one that thinks this, many families have left because Ms. Suzanne had picked on them until they feel they're not welcome. Many teachers have left because they dont agree with the ways she micromanages them and treats the children. There are SO many other wonderful schools that are cheaper, nicer, and safer. Save yourself the headache and find something else.

I used to be an aide for a little boy who went to Miss Patty's, and I really cannot recommend this…read moreplace highly enough (just to be clear, I was employed by a private company, and am in no way affiliated with Miss Patty's). My job has taken me to dozens of schools, clubs, and daycares and Miss Patty's is the cream of the crop. Miss Patty clearly loves teaching and can make anything fun. She employs fantastic assistants and the actual place is so cool- the classroom is cheerful and fun, but not distracting, and the yard is AWESOME! A giant tree swing, a garden the kids can water and harvest from, and a chicken coop where kids under supervision can sometimes go look for eggs are just the highlights of the huge, fun yard. Kids actually WANT to come and stay here, and they don't even realize how much they're growing- academically, socially, in problem solving, etc. Every time I get a new client, I secretly hope they'll be going to school at miss Patty's, and if I had a kid of my own, I would absolutely send them there.
