I live in the neighborhood of this place and finally I had a chance to try it. I had draft beer called Plattomospher. The beer was very refreshing after a long bike ride I did on a hot day and also had a half order of BBQ carnitas nachos which was decent and a lot bigger than I thought for a half order. It has a nice patio seating which is dog friendly. One thing bothered me was their pricing of the draft beer. It was Sunday afternoon and I don't know it had special pricing, but 16oz. draft of Pattomospher was $8.50 and 10oz. was $4.75. Usually, larger portion would have lower unit price. I calculated 1.6 times of $4.75. It was actually $7.60! That is the other way around. Buying larger quantity was more expensive per unit volume! That does not make sense at all... read more

You guys have to start running your kitchen ventilation system, now my wife knows every time I stopped in there because I smell like food after 10 minutes, it sticks to my clothes like bad cologne. Platt Park Brewing is a really laid back and fun spot to grab a few drinks, perfect for a Friday night after work or a summer weekend day. I enjoy coming here because they have a wide selection of drinks, you can get a sour beer, cider, ipa, or a stout whatever your in the mood for and it's always consistently good. The drink menu seems to change pretty often too so there's always something new too try! There's even 2 tv's so you can still catch a game without having to go to a traditional sports bar. read more

I love this place! Such a great local brewery. I've been here multiple times for a beer and snacks but had to come try one of their frozen drinks that I see them posting about on their Instagram! The place has a great atmosphere. There is a nice patio outside, games available for rent (not sure if this is currently going on because covid), and a large sitting area inside. There's a food vendor inside that also had yummy sandwiches and snacks. I went on a hot day and ordered the Frozen Mexican Firing Squad (think pomegranate marg). It was so tasty and I love how they took the time to decorate each glass. The frozen cocktails are SO perfect for a summer (or fall) day. I love Platt Park Brewing! I love its location in the heart of Wash Park right across from Sweet Cow ice cream and Park Burger. Makes me really wish I lived in the neighborhood -- this is like the perfect weeknight unwind hangout spot. Seat yourself -- there's plenty of space that goes pretty far into the building, along with bar seating, more bar-style seating facing the sidewalk, and outdoor seating. Dogs very welcome outside. However it does get pretty busy on weekends. I think my favorite part is their Madagascar Dream Nitro Vanilla Cream Ale -- easily my favorite nitro ever, possibly my personal favorite beer in Denver. I normally don't like flavored beers and find they can be too sweet and artificial, but this is just subtle, so drinkable, and so smooth. Getting it from the tap is far better than from a can, even if you shake it up and pour it right. Guess I'll have to keep going back for it! read more

I am impressed with the girl in glasses that poured us our cold beer last week. She's cute and actually knew about her beers and the history of the place she's working at. Best reason for me to come back and get some cold beers down my throat again? She loves sour beer! Just like me! Very few people like sour beers and one woman so far who like sour beers. I've only met two of them since three years ago. She's the second. I feel a kinship here:) although I didn't tell her about that....lol Ok this place is wide open. Industrial looking with great acoustics. You can actually chat and hear each other. Foam people. In the ceiling! It works! There's that area outside albeit it's small where you can sit and watch people walk by. I'll sit there next time. My initial visit was the bar. Snacks? This isn't the place for that. It's beer what tfhey care for. But you can get one of those kettle corns for $4. So far I'm impressed with their sour beer. They have two or three I think. I'm happy when I can find them. Platt Park is a really solid taproom that is relaxed but also kind of trendy, verging on the edge of metal modern without being that harsh of an environment. Very comfortable. Makes the dorks like me feel like we're hanging with the cool kids for once. The front of the building opens up garage door style so that you can have that lovely sitting outside while sitting inside feeling. There are some tables up front and also a large room in the back with additional tables. There are lots of board games for kids and families, or adults who like to play games. The place definitely struck me as really family friendly. Dog friendly, too. Bonus points due to proximity to good food. So while there is no food except popcorn served at the taproom itself, there are lots of good food options nearby within an easy easy walk, and they don't care if you bring food in. In fact, there's a binder behind the bar with menus if you get the munchies. As for the beer, we thought it was pretty solid. Like most breweries, there were some hits and misses but even the misses were probably more just not up our alley and not bad beer. I ordered the mango wheat, which was exactly what it sounds like. Very pleasant, very mango, very wheat. I would say it's quite crisp and refreshing but it was a good taste. Would I have ordered a second one? Probably not -- too mango to have two. We had several people who got flights, which is probably a good way to go here since there is so much variety. Everything I tasted was great. I was blown away by the cream ale, which tasted practically identical to a good old school cream soda. Much more "cream ale-ish" than most cream ales. I will also say that the service struck me as great. My husband and friends did the ordering, so I never went up to the bar. But while we were there, a man at the table next to us spilled his almost-full beer. He was there with his wife and kid, and they were clearly just enjoying a nice family afternoon. The bar tender not only produced a rag lickety split and came over to help them clean up the mess but immediately replaced the man's beer no charge. Class act. Enjoyed the beer and atmosphere. First visit, girlfriend and I tried the Vienna, Tropical IPA, and Dune Brett IPA. All of them were good. My favorite style is Vienna and Oktoberfest so I went to that first and was very pleased. Our best beer was the Tropical Snow IPA, it was juicy/fruity/dank with a bitterness that doesn't dry out your mouth. Looked like there was a small area for dogs (or cats if you walk them on a leash) but I didn't confirm. We got wings from the Koi & Ninja and they went quick. Great drinking snack. Tuesday was Trivia night so it got packed quick but it didn't bother us from having a 2nd beer. Pee project: they have a good clean bathroom with a stall for the Pee Shy Party. read more

If you're looking for a great local brewery look elsewhere. Platt Park Brewery is pretty sub par for the Denver micro brew scene. I think the best part of this brewery is the location. Historic South Pearl Street is a fantastic place to walk around. A lot of there beers are supposed to be flavorful but instead just have a hint of flavor and a ton of hops. Besides there sours which in my experience are way to sour and hard to drink. Also there ciders aren't that great either. The deli food offered here is a bit overpriced for what it is. read more

The is a cool little brewery, very friendly and welcoming. They have garage doors to open up when it's warm enough, which draws you into the space. Plenty of spots to stop and grab a beer. Platt Park Brewing is a great place for a meet up with a group of friends to have a quick beer. They have multiple tables large enough for 6 or 7 and have a surprising amount of space for their location. I tried the Platt Park Blackberry Berliner which is more of a sour beer and i LOVED it! Friends who had other beers enjoyed them as well. There was a food truck outside that delivered to your table and their onion rings, fried pickles and avocado ranch sauce were delicious. LOUD!!!! Their beer is unique and made in house but it is one of the loudest establishments I have been it. I will up my review to five stars once people don't have to scream to have conversations. It is not fair to do that to your customers and especially your staff. Your bartenders will have to piggy-back hearing aids to hear a freight train before they hit 40. I am in love with Madagascar Dream, I think about it at work, in the shower, while driving, anytime I think about beer I think about this beer. It's a vanilla cream ale on nitro, it is heavenly. (If they have their fall seasonal nitro pumpkin on tap mix the two for a nice combo) Platt Parks other beers are good, the Tropical Snow Dance is a nice IPA, often Platt Park will have variations on this beer which have been excellent. The environment is inviting, large table and games are available. I think this place is best in the winter as they have large glass garages so you can see snow falling outside. They have a patio but it is small and east facing which is not ideal if you are looking to enjoy a beer in the sunshine. read more

This was our first stop on an impromptu brewery tour on the 4th of July. The main parameter of which was to try some new breweries. I didn't have a great mental picture of where this was located, but once I spotted Park Burger, I had an "oh, yeah" moment. DPBC had a lot of beers to try (and we made a point to sample them all). Everything I tried was rather good, even if not all of them were to my palate preference. I liked the Ash Valley Fruit they were serving. The sweet tropical notes were to my liking on a hot and somewhat muggy day. The Ash Valley Wheat, Astronaut Amber, and Gump's Lager, also fit the bill on a warm afternoon. I also had a small taste of the Bourbon Stout (Milk Stout aged in a bourbon barrel). The vanilla notes were strong and really rounded this out. My favorite taste I had this day was the sour. I like sours so much, that I even enjoy the ones that I don't think are that interesting. This particular sour had lots of pucker factor with some good flavor lurking beneath. The space here is much larger on the inside than one might guess while passing by (4,500 square feet). The service was quite good. I enjoyed chatting with co-owner Colby (this is a father and some business, of which he is the younger). This will be a great place to hang out, and I think it is a welcome addition to this end of Pearl. read more

All Platte Park residents, rejoice! A brewery was pretty much all South Pearl needed to make it practically perfect. Sure, parking is still a nuisance, but for those who can easily bike, scoot, or walk over - this is a wonderful convenience. After a day of hiking, we decided it was time for a cold one, but we couldn't just stop by any old brewery. We had to find one with a patio, or at least welcomed furry companions. After built up anticipation and the permission of doggies - it was no question where we were headed. Some of the perks that really captured my fancy was the service. Servers come to you. No need for awkwardly standing by the bar for the bartender to notice you. The other plus was the space. It's open and breezy floor plan that spills outside to the patio facing South Pearl creates a perfect spot for any sort of rendezvous. Meeting a group of friends? Just drinking alone? Young parents who need a place to take the edge off without the judgment of bringing a baby to a brewery? Or perhaps - like myself - you're drinking with your significant other to wind down after a sweaty trek up a mountain? It's all there for you. Though there is no food menu available, I happen to catch and glimpse (and sniff) of the delicious burgers from the nearby Park Burger. It seemed like the perfect combo for sunny, Summer, Sunday afternoon. In regards to the beer, the stout and amber were probably my favorite. There wasn't one particular beer that left my taste buds tingling, but I was happy to try every sample on the flight. The IPA was certainly hoppy and the lager was a soft brew and easy to drink. They have a little dog treat dispenser in the front of this place for your pooch homies. I came in here and got followed by the cutest puppy bull terrier named Gigi (?). She was adorably playful and puppy-like. This place offers beer flights for $9 (6 tasters of 4oz beers)-what a great value! It came with Gump's Viena lager, Tropical Snow Dance, an amber, Nadare lager, Platt Park Porter (made with Kaladi brother's coffee) and an IPA. I also tried their sour beer which comes in original flavor and watermelon. I tried the mix of the 2 together (as the bartender suggested because he said watermelon alone tends to be too sweet) & I thought it was delicious (like really sour juice). They have a shelf out back that offers tons of board games for you to play (Cards Against Humanity Jenga, etc). The place is cutely decorated with wooden tables, chalk menu board, garage like windows (very Denver-esque) and brushed nickel chairs. Their hours are Monday - Thursday: 3pm-10pm, Friday: 1pm-12am, Saturday: 12pm-12am, Sunday: 1pm-10pm This place was fun because they played a ton of music I listened to when I was in HS/middle school like My Chemical Romance, Sum 41, Blink 182, =W=eezer, Goo Goo Dolls, Red Hot Chili Peppers, New Found Glory, Yellowcard, etc. They also played some newer stuff like Childish Gambino, J.
