I've never been here, never visited the state either. But I like to online shop at other Plato's because I get so bored with my local ones. This isn't the first time I've online shopped at stores I've never actually stepped foot in, but this is the only store who has neatly folded the clothes I bought, wrap them in tissue paper and write me a nice note on my receipt. All my items I got were well tagged (no holes in garment when I took tags off) no stains or signs of wear, and were super cute! The only complaint I could give is one of my tops I ordered was an XL and was listed as an XL on the site, I ordered it cause I thought it would look really cute as an oversized sweatshirt but turns out it was a child's XL and fit like a small, luckily it still fit. But all in all, I will definitely be ordering from them again! read more

Noel and I stopped at Plato's Closet in Morgantown in the Westover area located near Morgantown Mall. The store is well organized and very clean but staff is not friendly and slightly rude. Never once actually acknowledged us at all. Noel purchased a few items and cashier never smiled or thanked her for shopping. We will go back cause she likes the savings but staff could be nicer!!! If you're over 19 don't even try to sell clothes here. I brought in styles that definitely fit the brief. They judged me, not the clothes. The whole staff is like 18,19. They said a $350 leather jacket from a youth line was "too mature." They turned down brand new Lacoste with the tags on it. Ageist staff, no taste. read more

I know it fit there criteria because I watched one girl accept almost all my stuff just to see another girl come over return almost all my stuff. The clothes selection is terrible. Everything is extremely worn down, smelly, or dirty. Not to mention the staff are some of the rudest employees I have ever seen. They are not only rude to each other but to the customers as well. They will scream at each other across the store and use cuss words when there are children present. They will ignore you at the register and continue to bicker with each other until you step up and say something. They will never be getting my business ever again! read more

I tried stuff on and it had a huge stain on the side. Not sure why they're accepting clothes with large visible stains. Also, labeled and priced clothes with the NWT marking and there was clearly not a tag on items making them fairly overpriced. They had some cute clothes but the store could definitely be a little more thorough when accepting clothes. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I took some things to sell and I was told that there were condition issues with all of my items except for a pair of Michael Kors sneakers. They wanted to give me only five dollars for a pair of sneakers that had only been worn once. All of the other shoes that I brought in had only been worn one or two times and I take really good care of my shoes mind you. The girl told me that there were condition issues with all of them. Looking at some of the shoes that they had for sale my shoes were in so much better condition than the ones that they had out. I will never do business with them again. read more

I went here today hoping to walk out of the store with at least $50 from selling my clothes. I had just one large bag filled with shirts, dresses, hoodies, jeans, shoes, and accessories. A lot of my items were brands they said they accepted on their website, so I had high hopes of selling the majority of my items. After they went through my stuff, I was surprised they only accepted 3 items. (A WVU hoodie, and two athletic shirts). I made $8.30 off of these items, and used the money I made to purchase a dress that was $8. I couldn't believe they wouldn't accept the jeans I brought in. All 3 pair had only been worn once, and were from Forever 21 which is a popular brand. Overall, I didn't lose any money, and walked away with a new dress, but it seemed like a waste of time going through my closet and taking it to the store to only receive $8 back. read more

I am very pleased with my first visit to the Morgantown Plato's Closet! In the last 24 hours, I've taken several pairs of shoes, dresses, and somemof my husband's clothes and received $92 back in total! Way more than I ever expected! The store is also very organized, clean, and the customer service at this location is superb. They are always buying all seasons all the time! They buy teen and young adult casual fashions that have been in the stores with in the last year to year and a half just to keep their store as trendy as possible. You can bring in your clothes to sell when ever you want and they go through it right there ON THE SPOT usually takes 15 - 20 minutes! They work on a first come first serve basis so their is no appointment necessary! Just make sure you clothes are off the hanger in a bag or box and in ready to wear condition. The clothes they dont take just go home with you! They generally price things about 50-70% off of mall retail and give you a third or more! Absolutely awful customer service. The girls were very rude. Took over an hour to go through my clothes when they said it'll take 15 minutes. They were too busy arguing over who was wearing what flannel to whatever event to be worried about their customers. Very immature.
