Brought in clothes to sell, there was no one else in the store and they just put my bag behind the desk and didn't start looking at it right away like all the other locations. I hung around for a couple minutes to see if they were going to start looking through them but they kept kind of giving me a side eye like they were wondering why I was sticking around. I left because I had other errands to run but after being out for 2+ hours, I decided to go back to inquiry on the status. When I walked in they were JUST now starting to sort through my bag. The clothes here really aren't that cute, lots of outdated styles and the first dress I looked at had a hole. I wouldn't waste your time here, I highly recommend the fort collins location. I came in with a bag of clothes today and there were 4 girls with only of them dping anything and she had to ask them to help me ! The ligjt skinned girl with black hair checked me in and she didnt ask for my ID or phone number.Then she spelled my name on the receipt completely wrong its like she did it on purpose. read more

The buying items policy at Plato's Closet (Greeley, CO) makes no sense. My items were in brand new condition and not very dated for style. I was denied, but when looking at the clothes on rack, I see a lot of worn out clothing. Some even on the end caps, (a coat) with the fabric piling. It appears they prefer more worn out clothing for their store. For these reasons, I will not be back. DONE, DONE, DONE... And they do seem "snooty," not genuine, kind of phony but with a high pitch voice and smiles. You do realize we are in Greeley, CO, right? read more

Don't really like this Plato's. The one in Fort Collins is exponentially better. Better selection, bigger store,better customer service, shopping carts, polite employees. They feel a little snooty here. I look at the unattractive clothes on the rack and wonder how the heck the ones I brought didn't make it. And I feel like I shouldn't trust the judgement of the people choosing was stays if THEY aren't even dressed fashionably. The Fort Collins is SO WORTH the drive. The manager at this store is a raging bitch. She is so rude and has a cocky attitude like she's better than anyone on this planet. It's so unprofessional to me because not only does she always LOOK raggedy, her attitude matches. It's NOT a good way to represent a store in which you're a MANAGER at, let alone the company. I've also brought in stuff a couple times to sell and she'll reject various items, because they aren't "up to date" but I most definitely had dresses with fresh tags and boots that were bought right after the snowing stopped- so they were literally NEVER worn. There was an occasion when the store manager rejected all of my items and I decided to bring them on a different day, when someone else was working and I got FIFTY BUCKS! SMH. I honestly hope a corporate or district manager sees these reviews and makes changes within the management team. read more

I am writing about the inadequate and unsatisfactory service I received from the OWNER at Plato's Closet in Greeley Colorado on 3/15/2019. Not being the first time I have done business with this establishment, I am surprised at the terrible way of treating a "valued" & returning customer. The staff at the store show more empathy & customer service than the OWNER did. I went in today to sell some extra items of clothing that I had hanging in a closet. I waited about 45 minutes for the OWNER to get to my bags of clothes. One by one as she went thru items she had a "reason" she couldn't accept the item. As she went Thru the items HER attitude continued to get more and more negative. I stayed calm & made it Thru the end of the clothing. As she told me that she'd accept about 1/10th of the items I brought in ... I said that was fine. She proceeded to begin the payout & I asked her there was anything she would do to compensate me for the 2 items {patagonia jackets} I asked to be held that had gone missing. She said she could do nothing. She NEVER apologized for the items going missing but blamed it on the hold time. She became very standoffish & I finally said that's fine I'll just take my payout. I chose not to purchase a couple items I had shopped for today due to her our attitude. As I had them to her and told her I didn't want them... She proceeded to give my items back to me & said she thought it best she not buy them if I was upset about her attitude & the way she handled the situation. I took my items & told her that as the STORE OWNER she definitely wasn't acting like an owner. On the other hand, Her employee had apologized to me, went above & beyond to try to help me! But she as the OWNER had not once apologized or offered a solution. Instead EXCUSES! I told her I would never return to the store & would make sure her online presence was shown in the light in which she runs her store. RUDE!!! Buyer beware of the owner when going into this store. Absolutely not! I brought in 2 trash bags full of items so about 50-60 items. They said they were only able to take 3 of my 50-60 items! I got $5. I received the whole "you had many brands that we aren't approved to take." Really? Please explain to me then why I saw all of them on your racks! If my items are trash, then tell me that they are trash and give them back. Please don't lie to your customers. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service and they should honestly be in trouble by the state by the dressing room I was given. 1st off if a customer is trying to look at your clothes and you're an employee "organizing" that means finish up and move out of the way not spend another 10 mins organizing. 2nd stop making it so stuffed in there that nobody can get in with a stroller. 3rd and most disturbing was when I asked to use a dressing room the wheelchair accessible room was completely filled with boxes and tubs. Don't believe me just ask to use it and see for yourself. I would be mortified for a handicap person to be in that situation just to feel like a burden. Get your crap together and be better. It's EMBARRASSING! Next time I'll be taking pictures and sending it to your Store owner or owner of this company. I'm sure having the wheel chair accessible room completely unusable is illegal. Tried bringing in clothes several times, but every time I have been in their store, I get treated like my clothes are not good enough for them. Several items were hardly worn, and even some things they said they don't take those brands. I replied with then why are there some on your racks? I explained to her that it is very frustrating that my things were not good enough for you. They replied with "we find one thing wrong with them we wont take them" I told them ITS A USED STORE!!! and a few silver jeans still had the tags on them, so they weren't even worn. Repeated to say that half the things on their racks were over worn and shouldn't have been purchased. read more

This platos closet is terrible. One of the shift managers, named Tatyana I believe, did little to help me find items and sat on her butt the whole time making the sales associates do all the work. The clothing selection was bad and there was no consistency with what the girls buy back into the store. It seems that management needs to work harder to keep their employees doing their jobs. I. have gone there several times they are insulting about your stuff for sure and they always ask you if you want to donate what they don't buy, DONT you will find it on the rack the next time you come in. It has happened to me and my friends. Talk about dishonest. They tell you they will get to your stuff in under 30 minutes don't you believe it, I stood there for 90 minutes and they removed their chairs so you have to stand the whole time. And if you leave the store to get a drink you cant come back in. Sounds like the store has control issues. Hint they want only new stuff, brand name stuff and you are supposed to give it to them for next to nothing. But they know the people who come in need money so they take advantage. Ah for an honest store that dosent cheat you and on top insult you and then con by asking you to donate your stuff then putting it on the rack. Shame on them very dishonest. read more
