They never take half of your name brand clothes and they don't actually pay attention to the newness of the clothing. I brought in 2 hollister sets (with a few other things) and tell me why they took the set that i've worn over 50 times but would only take half of the other set that was worn twice and bought within the month? They overprice their stained and damaged clothing, and most of their clothes are from shein, or walmart. This is not a plato's I would recommend. read more

I brought in 5 items today that I purchased 3-4 weeks ago that didn't fit me (I already used the fitting room once and just needed to get out of there so didn't try on these items) THEY ALL STILL HAD THE ORIGINAL PLATOS TAGS ON THEM STILL.... 3 shirts, 1jeans and 1 shorts. Mind you one shirt I bought was missing a button. They "Bought" back all of it and gave me 10.75 back for it all, when all 5 items still had original tags on from the store 3 weeks ago! Tell me this isn't a damn scam. I'd rather have donated those 5 items. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN. read more

Don't waste your time bringing a large volume of clothes as they only half browse through it. They don't even take the clothes out to look.

Every time I come here all the employees seem very cold and like they all have an attitude. It creates a very unwelcoming environment, especially for someone who's socially anxious as you have to ask for a fitting room (they're locked) and it's hard to do that when everyone that works there seems so unapproachable. I get that working customer service is rough, trust me I work in it myself, and I think it would benefit everyone if the employees acted a little nicer. I don't think I'll be coming back here anymore because I'm tired of feeling bad for shopping in their store. read more

Despite their salesman being picky when buying clothing, I still have sold multiple items of clothing here many times throughout the years. I end up leaving with at least $50 each time and will be back. I applaud the student discount days, and their promotional text messages they send out as well. read more

This is a great place. There are always a ton of negative reviews for different Plato's Closet locations from people who don't get all of their clothing bought. There are strict buying parameters and many customers assume that Plato's is supposed to take most if not all of the clothing brought in. That's not the case. If you wouldn't buy it, neither will they. The staff is friendly, fashionable, and all younger. With their younger ages they are really in the know for what is in fashion at the time of buying. My only complaint about this location is that the sales floor is crowded- but they're soon moving to a larger location so I'm sure that won't be an issue. read more

Wasn't able to sell them much because they didn't take much. Prices are low so don't expect too much and they have a lot of overstock of items so even if you have quality stuff they may not take it at the moment. Would recommend calling in before going to check what they're looking for read more

After seeing so many negative reviews, I had to leave a review after our positive experience. My oldest daughter is just getting into junior sizes, so we decided to check it out for spring/summer clothes. I came in with three high energy kids and FaceTimed shopped with another. Basically I was a customer that most places would be super annoyed with. Not here! I was immediately helped when I walked in, two employees searched the store for one "must have" top my daughter had seen on their Instagram page. I'm not a mall shopper. Store to store clothes shopping with 4 daughters in tow is not my idea of a good time if I'm being honest. This store was like having an entire mall at my daughters fingertips all in one store. More than half of what we ended up leaving with, still had tags on it. I saw a lot of reviews online about the cost of clothes at Plato's. Yes, it is more expensive than say goodwill or savers or even the baby secondhand store a few doors down. On that note, my daughters were so excited to be able to get the "cool mall clothes" (not kidding, those were her words) and I was happy to get them for probably half of what I would have had to dish out at the mall. Everything in the store was in perfect or damn near close to it condition. So please take that into consideration. They only buy/sell the latest trends bc they know it will sell faster than the Abercrombie shirt you've been holding onto since the 90's. My advice, let someone else waste their money on a 40$ top at the mall, and swing through Plato's a few weeks later when they are "sooooo over it" and pick it up for 10$! read more

This place is a joke! I brought in a ton of name brand clothing including jeans which included hollister, ambercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle and several others. They told me my clothes were out dated and they were overstocked with some items. I had called the day before to see what they were taking and the girl said always jeans! They took 30 dollars worth of items from me! Never going their again. Better off selling on eBay! read more
