This location is a well trafficked area with other types of stores and restaurants in the same plaza. Plato's Closet is decently priced and had a great selection of clothes. The downside for me was the summer clothes were rather picked through. I had 9 bags of clothes to sell. Most name brand n I keep all my kids clothes nice. 1 bag was shoes half still had tags or never worn. Another bag contained 2 expensive ski jackets n 1 expensive northface coat. Only kept 7 items n said the rest was soiled. Then they expected me to load it all back up knowing I was shopping for 4 children. I had no room so I had to let them donate it all. Did they donate it or just keep it.? I'm gonna call n find out.im not from Canton n I could n should have donated to my own community. I will never sell to them again....it was definitely not worth 24$. But wen they sell wat they kept I'm sure they ll put a 20$ price tag on each of those items UPDATE since I can't comment I had no choice n leaving everything I brought due to having to shop for 4 children. I called weeks ago about selling 9 bags of clothes n never did they say they had to be n season. Not sure of their meaning of " in season" cuz everything I brought was for fall/ winter! Also I put all those clothes in bags myself n I would never give something away that my own kids would not wear so there were No stains n everything was like new! I've been buying and selling here for the past year, they are amazing people to work with! I've had nothing but great experience with them. Their clothing is mid but their prices are low. Sometimes you do have to really look over the item because it might be damaged especially their shoes. Whenever I bring items in, they usually give me a good amount back but at least they fold it back unlike some places. They usually buy at least 10 items from me, which is perfectly fine with me. read more

Took in two totes full of gently used, brand clothes, some still had tags on and they didn't buy anything due to not needing winter season clothes etc. they didn't even look through them!! I also had several brand winter coats!! Garbage locations! Don't waste your time!!!! read more

This past summer my daughter was hired here and all was going well according to her boss who seemed really nice and supportive as this was her first job. Her second day of work my daughter texted me to pick her up early because they fired her! I was shocked. I went in to ask her boss why and she said that even though she was doing great and picking up on how to do the job quickly and they said they could work around her school, she is a Junior in high school, she now has to work part time according to the owner and the boss was wrong to agree to work around her school schedule! I was livid! I was not mad at the boss she didn't know apparently when she hired my daughter. I met the boss before this happened and she seemed nice and personable, too but it was very unprofessional and cruel to hire an employee and then by no fault of her own fired her! My daughter took it in stride. Her boss said she could come back next summer when she can work more hours, but no way will she come back to such a callous and greedy organization that does not treat their employees well. It was a good lesson for my daughter that some places are not work your time! We love shopping there, but from now on we will go to the one in Akron! The owner should be ashamed of herself for treating kids like this! I would give no stars if I could for there hiring practices! read more

If i could give less than 1 star review i would. I took two HUGE bags of clothes with name brand stuff (polo, Nike for an example) a lot of it brand new with the tag still on it. They never went through any of that and told me "the clothes that we didn't purchase don't do well selling here" and i then took the clothes to the platos in Sandusky and they bought almost all the clothes. Highly recommend NOT GOING to this platos because customer service SUCKS and they won't go through all the clothes you bring in. There is nothing but young girls making fun of customers in there not doing their job. HORRIBLE. read more

Stood and waited at drop off counter and to pick up buys for several minutes without being acknowledged when there was associates standing right in front of me. Then they gave me $10. For a pair of shoes that were over $100. And brand new. Terrible customer service! There were associates walking around store doing nothing. read more

Awful customer service. Took 6 bags of clothes in for them to look through. All target items and American Eagle Items. They didn't even go through all my bags. Three of my trash bags were still closed. Awful service. I'll take my stuff somewhere else. The employees were not nice at all and we heard them talking bad about about us. This place is a scam. I took 4 boxes of things in that were either brand new WITH TAGS or brand new and the tags had been cut off and they wouldn't buy ANYTHING, yet their stuff hanging up that they were selling were stained, torn, worn out, ect. You're better off selling your stuff on apps or sites. Employees are rude, unconcerned, and act snobby. Prices are WAY too high for the (lack of) quality that they're selling. Would NEVER recommend this place and will not be associating with them again. read more

Took a bag full of new clothes to Plato's yesterday. Some still with tags, and a lot of summer dresses. They claim to look through it about 30 minutes. Apparently nothing in their worked with the season. I didn't know sun dresses aren't a summer outfit! What a joke. Goodwill made out got a lot of new, nice clothes. I had a terrible experience at Plato s Closet! They put the belongs of mine they didn't want in the bin with no respect. I had a ring box full of rings and four of them they took out and just threw in the bottom of the bin. If I would of just grabbed my bags I would not have got my rings back. Also the stuff was nearly brought in and just tossed back in the bin like dirty laundry! I feel very disrespected and feel they tried to ripped me off! read more

Way too expensive for a used clothing store. $68 for a used Betsey Johnson bag? Hardly seems like a deal when I can buy a brand new one at TJMaxx for half that price. I saw a beautiful Coach purse, but again, i just can't rationalize $100 for a USED bag. Don't expect them to give you a lot of money for the items you want to sell, either. I have better luck shopping/selling on Poshmark and Ebay. It is convenient to just drop off a big load of things I don't want anymore, though, and I like the fact that they donate items they don't buy to a women's shelter. read more

I've been shopping here for years without any issues. I am pleased with all the clothes I've got from here. Very cheap and worth it. I refused to buy anything at the shopping mall. No body is perfect, always double check the buttons, zippers, before you buy it just like at any other store. I've learned that method. I just think this is an outstanding store where the clothes are great brands for very, very cheap. As well the staff has always been friendly. This is my five stars. read more

Plato's Closet should stay in the closet. I had really nice name brand stuff in great condition that they wouldn't buy, yet most of there stuff is faded and old. They want $15 for a pair of faded Pink sweats. I wouldn't take them for free. Anyway, the same items they wouldn't buy I sold on a local virtual garage sale for $45. Much easier to do that than waste your time in that literally "stinky" store. read more

Platos closet is a rippppp off ! They say they pay 30 to 40 percent of what they are going to sell the item for. I recently took in a dooney and bourke purse and they tried to buy it from me for 25 and i asked the lady how much they were going to sell it for and she said 60 but i looked on the shelf and there was one that was half the size of mine for 55, so i know that she was lying and going to sell it fo more and make way more that 30 to 40 percent! This has not been the only incident where they do this! They could make good money and still be fair but instead they are robbing us and getting filthy rich. We need to stop this! Dont sell your clothes there, you can still buy, but lets try and put them out of business! read more

I can not stand platos closet. They rip people off and take advantage of people who need fast cash. The worse our economy gets the better there business is. You can take things in that are brand new an name brand like hollister jeans and they give you three bucks and then sell then for. It also makes me mad when they tell me my stuff wont sell when i see the same thing hanging up. I took in three pairs of jeans name brand an in good shape along with some tees an instead of taking the American eagle jeans they took the poor little tee that i paid a buck for . Why don't they have two people looking through all the cloths so they can be fair about what will and wont sell. if the girl looking at my stuff hated the color pink an thought it was ugly she would reject were as someone else with taste would love it.
