She will lie to you about sending the receipt "in a few minutes" and doesn't know how to apologize. Receiving payment from them would be a disaster. BTW the shop is a total mess.

This very instance is what my sister and I experienced at this Burke's Outlet and mind you the first Burke's Outlet store my family had visited was in the state of Mississippi where racism is everyday life and not once did we ever receive racial tension at the store in the sip, however I would have figured in Texas it would have been different, but I guess doesn't change where you are located in the states especially in the south. As we walked in, we aren't greeted rather we were stared at by the cashiers and customers that were being checked out. (Though, everyone else who walked in was greeted, "Welcome to Burke's Outlet!") Also, throughout our shopping whether it was browsing the earrings, clothing, or changing out in the dressing room, there was an announcement on the intercom about if customers ever feel uncomfortable to notify the cashiers, and even when I was testing out a purse by placing my belongings in the purse, there was an announcement regarding that, "concealing accessories were against the law". I for one wasn't doing anything wrong while shopping, but there were two young boys who were. One was skateboarding in the store, even had the audacity to confront one of the store associates if he was "being an inconvenience" and the lady said, "what was inconvenience mean?" So, the boy said, "am I being bad?" and the lady responded with a NO. However, when my sister and I was shopping in the store. All of the associates treated us like we shouldn't have been there. While we were looking at the soaps, one of the associates rudely reached over us without saying excuse her..how rude! I guess she never was taught manners. In Deer Park, I guess it isn't normal to see any other race than white, Caucasian. On top of that, the ladies restroom was beyond disgusting! It smelled like raw poop like baby's poop which was very nasty to endure while using the restroom. I did spot a really cute purse here, but after the associates suspected that I was shoplifting. I didn't purchase it. It wasn't worth it. My whole experience was horrible and I never will return to this store. I wouldn't advise anybody who isn't Caucasian to visit this store; the store associates are beyond racist and rude. I will take my further business to the location in Seabrook instead.

I've sent friends over to Affection for all sorts of ocassions (weddings, school dance, mardi gras parties) and they always leave with a smile on their face. Paula is super sweet and is always willing to help you pick out a head to toe look for that special occasion. If you like trendy, stylish clothes that fit you like a glove for a reasonable price, Affection is the way to go. The best part for me is that I don't have to worry about 10 other girls having the same dress as me- Paula doesn't buy more than 3 dresses of each style.
