My parents' condo suffered a major flood that caused significant damage. The Strata brought in Platinum to handle the initial containment and drying, and their professionalism and care with my parents were exceptional. Unfortunately, the insurance company pushed for a different vendor for the repair phase -- one that took over three and a half weeks just to provide a quote. Based on our earlier experience, we insisted on using Platinum instead, and it was absolutely the right decision. Once awarded the project, Caitlin, the lead, was incredible -- organizing trades, movers, and vendors with a detailed project plan that kept everything on track. Remarkably, Platinum finished the entire restoration faster than the other vendor took just to submit a quote. The workmanship, communication, and genuine care throughout the process were outstanding. My parents were thrilled with the results. One of the best companies I've ever worked with -- thank you to the entire Platinum team! read more

I don't typically leave reviews. My experience with PPCR has been so poor that I had to. Their crew has often had little idea of what they're doing or looking at, how to identify rot etc. I've had to babysit & review regularly. If I hadn't been on-site regularly, they would have left a ton of rotten plywood sub-floor in place, along with a number of other misses I had to point out to them. They promised to do a 2nd coat of Killz to encapsulate some potential mold after a lousy 1st application (which they agreed was lousy) & didn't do it. They say they'll call me & don't call. They say they'll respond to emails & don't respond. It's been truly astounding, just incredible to have such astonishingly poor communications. I'm floored. Grateful that I knew to check in on them regularly, grateful that they'll be done soon and I'll never have to deal with them again. read more

I had an excellent experience with Platinum Pro-Claim during my recent home repairs. The team was professional, efficient, and respectful. Their attention to detail exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be using their services again!" Highly recommended! read more

Quick, professional, and thorough. We felt well cared for throughout the process and are very happy with the end results. Our place looks better now than it did before the flood. Grace and the interior team were especially amazing. Great customer service the whole way through. Thank you! read more

A couple of your guys (Mohammad & Naminu) knocked on our door in the late evening to come check our pipes for a leak that was flooding the apartment below us. We have a very small apartment and our toddler's room is right next to where they needed to work. These two gentleman whispered quietly, stepped quietly, respected that we needed to keep the noise down and gave us some time to move her into another bedroom so she wouldn't be kept awake by their work. They did their jobs efficiently, quietly, and without seeming annoyed whatsoever by our high maintenance household. They displayed well-tempered patience and outstanding customer service. Highly impressed with them! They give your company a good name! Thanks guys! read more

I didn't hire these guys directly. They were brought in by my insurance company. Even though I settled in cash they keep asking me to pay some bills for supplies they ordered for me. Not even a single time they sent me a quote or asked for approval. I really don't understand why would you be so nice to me and order stuff for me even though I never agreed to get the house repaired through you guys. I am still fighting this after 5 months and now I have my insurance company involved. read more

We suffered a totally unexpected flood in our fairly new home ..we called our insurance agent and got us on the road to recovery..when the insurer called and asked whom we wanted to attend, we decided to let the experts send out their recommendation..not long after Platinum Pro Claim had two of their team members out to take a look at the severity of the water damage .. very professional and extremely courteous.. the next day the same young man ( Brandon) who attended the late at night event was at it again .. very impressed..trying to get a sense of the type of company that would be in and out of our home for the next two or so months, this was vital..after some investigatory questions we felt at ease as he expressed things that are seldom heard of.. someone who actually likes where they work plus the environment.. allowing strangers into your home isn't something one does with open arms but with PPC, we felt with every interaction what that young fellow stated.. Now the " A Team" WOW...Winny, Grace, Jason and the many other peeps were fantastic .. I felt like they were family.. every little detail they looked after when we or didn't bring it to light .. they considered us Family and wanted things to be done right.. we were encouraged to share all things, good or seldom bad and when the latter occurred, they went out of their way to make it right so as to regain the " Family " aspect of things.. having to change and alter our usual day to day routines was difficult but with the constant communications the process was much easier and palatable thanks to the text messages and updates from Winny and Grace ( even on her day off/ Birthday)..like who does that? To Jason, PPC's jack of all trades who's incredibly meticulous to the smallest details a great Big Thank you .. phenomenal patience with us when we looked at things cockeyed he looked at things from our point of view and understood where we were coming from So if you're reading my comments, fear not and ask for PPC's " A TEAM " and they will look after you well from beginning to end ! read more

Recently had a leak in our bathroom and ended up having to tear everything out. Platinum did such a fabulous job with our renovation! They worked very hard to give us exactly what we wanted and did it quite quickly. We had a couple of small set backs which they took care of with no problems. Love our new bathroom and would definitely recommend them! read more

Worst restoration company out there. Shoddy work , rush jobs, violations of building code. Stay away. If your insurance company sends them , don't let them in. read more

Our building 1060 Alberni St had water damage on Apr12. Strata hired Platinum pro-claim, they are pretty slow, it's been ONE MONTH still no updates!!! read more

Unfortunately my Strata Council hired these people to work on the water damage I had in my condo. At first they seemed professional, but when it came to have the tiles installed it all went downhill from there . It's an older Polish man (Mike), who arrived couple hours late on day 1 , with no phone call explaining that he's running late. He never brought a under lay and he claimed he was never told about! So he had to come back the next day (Friday) , I left him and his partner for a few hours ( he was supposed to call me when the work was done ) I came home to mortar dust all over my balcony and living room , he claims that the balcony door was closed. He never even cleaned my balcony! So now he wouldn't be back until Monday to grout the tiles even though Mike didn't show up on time and with the correct tools! And since I decided to upgrade ProClaim said they would give me a buy out once the work was completed. That cheque took two months to show up AFTER i had to drive to their office to pick it up myself because they said that it was mailed out! But yet they mailed the replacement cheque which Daiane Nascimento forgot to mention because when I got home there was a cheque in the mail !! This company is incompetent..."buyer be aware"...if you are stuck with this company keep your eyes open for Hector Saddul, Rae Miguel, Daiane Nascimento and Marcel Jackson (who's more often on vacation than at work!! read more

I had a flood in my place and they came immediately and were very kind and understanding to the situation. There's a girl named Deena that works with the guys and works her tail off as hard as them and dies an excellent job! She paid great attention to destabilize on the clean up job and made sure each day she left that she tidied up so my house wasn't as in disarray. She was super nice and helpful and made a bad situation not so bad due to her positive hard working attitude. It's rare you find employees like this. If her boss is reading this she needs a raise because she works her tail off!! With a smile!! read more

Wow. Absolutely pathetic. My apartment flooded July 1st. It's almost December. And it's still not done. When they moved my stuff about, they broke my furniture and didn't reimburse it nor did I even get an apology for it. They installed drywall over all the sink hookups and then cut ragged holes in the drywall after to access it. They lost hardware to the kitchen faucet and so my kitchen still doesn't have running water. They promised me the apartment would be finished Oct 12 and it's getting close to a month and a half after with no end in sight. I have also continually asked them to repair the sink and they have continually ignored me. I've been doing dishes in the bathtub for months and months now. The drywall work they did was horrid. A blind monkey could do better. I've given up on waiting for them to come back and fix it: they said they were showing up and I wasted an entire day waiting for them to come and they didn't show up. I ended up buying my own supplies and fixing it myself. This is the least of the problems I've had with these people. Poor communication, poor work effort, and complete disregard for people's lives. Do not hire these people unless you want nothing but headaches. I would give them 0 stars if this site let me. read more

I have had the unfortunate luck to deal with 3 restoration companies in the last 3 years. This company angered me so much that I'm leaving a negative review so people don't have to go through what I did. I highly recommend you do NOT use Platinum Pro-Claim for your restoration needs. At first glance they seem professional and on-top of things, but things VERY QUICKLY unravel into a disaster. The contractors they hire out are very unprofessional, do terrible work, are not considerate of your time and more times than not, end up breaking other things in your house. I had a leak in my bedroom closet and from start to finish it took nearly FOUR months to complete. The replacement carpet was cheap and they don't match the quality that was there before, even though they claim they do. You only have a choice of colour -- nothing else. The underlay is significantly thinner than what was there before, and it looks cheap. You'll have a douzen different people coming into your house at all hours. They are messy and some of them will pee on your floor and not clean up after themselves. They come late, they come early, they have absolutely no regard for your schedule or the agreed upon times. In fact, sometimes they will just show up without even telling you they're coming. Often times your project manager won't reply to your emails, and they never take ownership of their mistakes. I'm entirely dissatisfied with my experience and the end results. DO NOT USE PLATINUM PRO-CLAIM for your restoration needs. I had no choice because it was strata decision. Be warned. Worst experience ever. read more

Like many of their customer's we had Platinum Pro-Claim in to address an unexpected flood in our newly remodelled home. They were onsite immediately and worked seamlessly with our insurance company. We used the company and all tradespeople to address our flooring, drywall repairs, ceiling repairs and plumbing concerns. It was awesome not to have to coordinate multiple trades people by myself, and the project manager was always available and ensured the work was done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to address water damage in their home. read more

Horrible experience Had major flood on main floor, insurer was Belairdirect. Clean up crew was great and did a good job drying up and removing damaged materials. Reconstruction crew was horrible. Did not put insulation on exterior walls back properly (basic building code requirement) Did not seal vapor barrier on exterior walls (basic building code requirement) Drywalled over open furnace air returns. Tile installer installed and grouted tiles on same day causing uneven tiles. (basic knowledge you need to let tiles set first before grouting) Tiler used my lumber on side of my house for cutting on and then hide it by put it onto my neighbor's property. Tiler emptied unused mortar and grout into boxes and left it on my wood floors to get wet. Clean up crew decided to use our laundry dryer to dry their shirt (Wife found the shirt the next day in dryer) Clean up crew did not do a good job cleaning, did not clean interior of reinstalled storage cabinetry, flooring properly, and did not removal of all flooring protection Wall paper order, gave Proclaim our selection for wallpaper soon after flood and found out that they waited a month before ordering from supplier causing at least a 2 week delay in completing our powder room. Having a child potty training in not fun without a powder room. Wall paper installer did not protect floor, spent one hour scraping floor as I would not allow their cleaners back in my house after finding the shirt. The list goes on and on...have pictures and emails detailing everything. The painters were great, good job and cleaned up after themselves. Everything was finaly done and did receive some compensation for my time but nothing can compensate for the lack of management and poor workmanship. read more
