My family and I recently left to visit Pennsylvania and we needed someone to check in on our two cats. Through some online recommendations my wife found Debbie. We set up an initial appointment where Debbie came to the house, tried to meet the pets (they hid) and took detailed notes on what we wanted her to take care of while we were gone. Debbie didn't just stick to our pets either. She also offered to water plants and bring in our mail. We returned from our vacation to a home with clean litter, well fed and happy cats, organized mail and healthy plants. Affordable, detailed, local. It just doesn't get better than that. We both work from home so our dogs are used to having someone with them all the time. Also, we weren't sure how our German Shepard was going to react. Debbie was wonderful, she made our dogs feel safe. She was great with the Shepard and very patient as she got used to Debbie. During our trip, Debbie sent us some pictures of the dogs which was really nice and kept us updated. She also brought in the mail and quite a few packages that were delivered to the house. Rita is amazing with our animals (two dogs, a cat, and some fish) and takes excellent care of them when we are out of town. Before we "booked" Rita, she came over to our house and met our animals so we could get her acquainted with them (we have a somewhat stubborn and skittish Shiba Inu who takes a little time to warm up to people) and our house. Rita has always been extremely patient with our requests and directions and always follows up on emails to me. She even sends photos of our pets to us when we are out of town (which I love!) and gets our mail! We have used Precious Angels for short weekend getaways and even 2-week vacations. Everything has always gone perfectly smoothly. Like I said above, Precious Angels and Rita have been a lifesaver for us. We love to travel and hate boarding our furbabies, so this has been the perfect option. Our babies get to stay at home in a familiar environment and we get to rest easy knowing they have great care. Clinical findings revealed a life-threatening internal body temperature of 105°F, dehydration requiring subcutaneous fluids, and an advanced, untreated ear infection. His official diagnosis was Fever of Unknown Origin (FUO) and otitis externa precipitated by environmental stress and prolonged lack of monitoring. Upon obtaining the kennel's internal activity logs, I discovered a shocking lack of care: * May 31 Log: Entirely blank with zero staff initials, meaning my cat went completely unverified after arrival. * Zero Hydration Records: Absolutely no monitoring or metrics regarding water intake over his entire 14-day stay. * Ignored Red Flags: Staff logged that he "ate half of wet food" but failed to check his vitals or contact my emergency numbers. * Blank Comment Sections: Clear evidence of routine box-checking rather than actual welfare evaluations. A feline body temperature does not reach 105°F instantly, and an ear infection does not advance without visible signs. Their own records prove Happy Tails Pet Lodge failed in their basic duty to provide adequate care and health oversight. I have filed formal facility compliance and neglect complaints with Pasco County Animal Services. Protect your pets and take them elsewhere!

Kitty City has been my saving grace on so many occasions - they have been able to accommodate very last minute, even same day reservations, they always provide updates and photos on the FB account and via text, and have even offered to personally deliver my cat to my home after boarding when I had my hands full. They are truly such good people - and my cat is always happy, calm, and well groomed upon return. We've had to board him for 1.5 months at one time, and he returned home just as happy as he was when we dropped him off. I know he is getting plenty of love, play time and attention while he is there, I truly never worry about him. I'll attach a some cute photos they sent home with us when we boarded him around Valentines and St. Patrick's Day - they are hanging on our fridge. Thank you kitty city!!

This kind of reassurance when leaving your fur baby somewhere is so important and SO appreciated! I really felt like our boy was in really good hands and being loved the way we love him. He made some friends and was such a happy boy in all of the videos, prancing around outside and just loving his time. We enrolled him in the 3-week behavioral course and he has learned so much! The hardest part is to remember how to train ourselves to ensure that we continue to reinforce everything he has learned. Dog Crew communicated with us daily to ensure that we knew how Hank was doing and sent us videos to show his progress. The vet said she wasn't dried properly and moisture in her fur and possibly dirty water caused an infection. I tried to take care of this privately but the owner decided she was not at fault. She offered a refund on the grooming but refused to pay the nearly $600 vet bill to get her neck treated. I'm a disabled veteran and this is my service dog in training.
