I was constantly told that music will be one of the most important parts of the wedding. Of course, you have the venue itself and all the other vendors to keep your guests entertained and fed throughout the night, but the music is the one thing that will keep the flow, pace, and vibes of your special evening. When I was looking for our DJ, I clearly had no idea what I was doing or who I was looking for. I can hardly remember the names of the songs or artists I like. DJ Huey has been one of the best DJs I've seen. He takes care to incorporate the bride and grooms interests and the guests preferred songs to create one seamless playlist. My boyfriend remarked that the music was smooth and fun even as we switched genres. He spoke English and Vietnamese which helped with incorporating both sides of the family in activities. Musical chairs were a part of the wedding reception and I was so impressed with how he facilitated it. We discovered Huey because he DJed my cousin's wedding and played one of the best song lists I've heard. And he didn't disappoint. Huey made our wedding reception an absolute BLAST! I don't even know where to start or how to really describe Huey's amazing service as DJ and MC for our wedding. Huey was absolutely on point with the music, the timeline, speeches, just everything went perfectly and so smooth. If you want to not have to worry about anything, definitely go with Huey. Huey is legit one of our favorite vendors from our recent wedding at the Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, CA. He wore so many different hats on our wedding day - officiant, DJ, and MC. We were introduced by my wedding planner who worked with him previously at other weddings. I hired Huey to do the whole shabang for my wedding: music (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception), lighting, drapery, photobooth, linen & chair rentals, and he delivered above and beyond all expectations! Huey is exuberant, organized, super-friendly, and extremely professional. He's a perfectionist when it comes to any of his services, and he's absolutely dedicated to making sure everyone has an amazing time. What sets Huey apart from any amateur are his strong public speaking skills, his ability to read a crowd, smooth transition between songs & different genres, and his interactions with guests. He knows how to keep the party rockin' and if weren't for our contract with our venue we surely would have partied all night long. Being an out of town couple Huey was very accommodating, he agreed to meet us for our first meeting since he was in our neck of the woods. Huey is da Man! Unfortunately, I have the title of "Man of the hour" but he was definitely a close second. All the kids are exhausted the next day thanks to his amazing song selections.
