We had an older model garage door opener attached to an earlier version of the MyQ Hub. After years of spotty performance of the Hub, the unit decided to start opening & closing the garage door on its own. The most recent incident caused the door to close on our SUV rooftop (CRUNCH/SCRATCH!!). One call to Mike at Platinum we got an onsite visit and clear reasonable quote for a new opener. Mike was able to start the work that same day. He installed a new LiftMaster head unit, performed tune-ups on both garage doors, repaired the damaged garage door section, and replaced the keypads and reconnected the MyQ setup. Mike was extremely professional, and diligent. He worked thru the stifling heat and was able to wrap things up within one visit. Awesome job!! read more

Typical bait and switch. Mike Quotes $399 over phone, comes and says $799 and would not honor pricing. Sent them packing.

I highly recommend Platinum Overhead Door. I replaced two decades-old wooden garage doors and completely replaced all rails, rollers, springs, and higher end openers. The owner Mike was quick to respond and carefully/patiently outlined all options in person and without pressure. Their installer technician Jeremy was timely, cordial and extremely skilled in removal and installation, including final seals and trims. Overall, Platinum Overhead Door provided a great product, excellent service and a fair price. Alan C. read more

Mike was on time and professional during our first appointment. After awarding the job to them, they scheduled installation in just a few days. Jeremy, the installer, did everything perfectly. This is a follow up review. We had our GD repaired a couple months ago. Hardware replaced etc, $245.00. Three days ago nylon stem came loose, I didn't see any breakage, but due to the weight of the door I didn't try to make any adjustments. Called Platinum on the 29th, said someone would get back in 10 to 15 minutes. Called again on the 30th, said someone would get back in 10 to 15 minutes, emailed, then created service request via website. Still not a word. I do understand the current state of our environment, but a quick, "hello we have a backlog" would help. read more

Mike from Platinum Overhead Door changed my garage door springs yesterday. Mike explained what needed to be done and how it would be done. The price was less than I was expecting to pay. Their work, response and professionalism is of 5 Star quality. I made my appointment for the next day on-line and they arrived on time. I highly recommend Platinum Overhead Door for any garage door repairs you may have. Michael K. read more

Our garage door wasn't working properly (the place was built less than 5 years ago) so we called for a repair service. The company that we initially reached out to quoted us an outrageous amount for the repair and ultimately told us we would be better off with a new garage door. We opted to call another professional and tried our luck with Platinum Overhead Door based on the Yelp reviews. We were able to schedule a technician's visit within 24 hours in midst of the holiday season. Mike was very professional and patient. He explained the issue, made the necessary repairs, provided us with some tips for maintenance, and potential next steps should the issue persist in the future. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends! read more

Tim (President) came to my house at agreed upon time, he listened to my needs and accessed my situation. He did not try to "sell" me, but merely provided information and budgets around ideas. This was a Friday; by that afternoon & had an email summary & the quotes we discussed.....I called him back Monday after receiving his quotes and informed him we decided to just replace the springs at this time. While that could have been a disappointment for Tim, he didn't act like it was, but asked when he could come do that spring replacement, lined up a technician and he was at my house within 90 minutes, replacing the springs. They calibrated my motor/chain, checked the other moving parts and charged a very fair price. I do plan to contact them again when I am ready to replace the door.....very professional, on time, solid work. read more

My husband and I recently renovated our 1950s ranch home and decided to keep (but repaint) the single-car garage that we had despite it being a manual-entry hinge door. As you can imagine, having to always get out of the car to manually open the garage especially with the cold and rainy weather setting in has become a bit of a grind. I called up Mike who was not only able to give me a comparable quote to all of the other garage services I called, but also never once tried to push to up-sell me (something all of the other companies didn't hesitate to do). In fact, I was the one who asked for different options above the standard. Mike was prompt, and was able to schedule me in within 2 days, and complete the job in under 2 hours. We now have a perfectly smooth functioning automated garage door despite it being an old-school one-hinge door. Definitely recommend! read more

We asked for quotes from 3 different companies. Platinum (Tim) was not only the best quote, they were the most professional and responsive. They installed on time and the installation technician (Mike), was very professional. It was obvious he took pride in his work. We would recommend Platinum Overhead Door to our closest friends and anyone else who asked. read more

When recently looking for a company to replace broken garage door springs, a neighbor referred me to Platinum Overhead Door. I called and Tim sent a technician out the same day. The technician came out at the scheduled time, confirmed the scope of the repair and the price and was done within 45 minutes. He was very professional, nice. He educated me on how to extend the life of the door springs and also gave me a 'goody bag'. The price was very competitive. I will call Platinum Overhead Door for future garage door repairs/ replacement and wouldn't hesitate to refer them to my friends and neighbors. read more

Platinum did a great job at our house. They took out our old door and opener (which wasn't working). The old opener would wake up our kids. This new one they installed is super quiet. The door is a much better fit than the old one. We love being able to operate the door from an app, especially being able to check that the door is closed while we're away. read more

Fantastic garage door repair and sales. I called for a repair because my door wasn't closing. Mike responded promptly and was able to schedule me the next morning. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the different manufacturers. I was given a price to replace the control board or the whole motor. Knowing my current motor was having issues and fried in such a short time I opted for a new motor by a different manufacturer with no pressure from Mike. He was extremely helpful in my decision with his wealth of knowledge. My garage door operation is quieter and smoother than before. Mike even went above and beyond by programming my car. I would recommend Platinum Overhead Door any day! read more

The guys are the best! Their work is top notch, they are very professional, their prices are great! I'm so glad I found them!

Tim Bilz and his company Platinum Overhead Door did a great job fixing my garage door. This is the second time I've used them, (first time was different garage door). Mike, the technician was in and out in about 45 mins, I would highly recommend them to anyone. Their prices can't be beaten, and they are very courteous and responsive, I've always had same day service. There's never any hard sales pitches for other things too. Thanks guys!! read more
