She came highly recommended from a dear friend of mine & from the moment of contact, Frances was nothing but professional & an absolute delight to deal with! The building is cosy and convenient to get to, with comfortable seating if you have to wait & a fair few magazines to peruse if you left your reading materials at home. They have complimentary drinks while you're getting your hair done as well (today I opted for a coffee, served in a mini-cafetierre with a couple chocolates on the side). Also comfortable? The back massagers on the seats where they shampoo your hair. Aw yes. The staff are warm and lovely, and Paul is that reassuring blend of knowledgeable, skilled, and charming (I somehow feel more sophisticated than I actually am when I'm there?). On the wedding day, they even let me use their upstairs room to change & do my make-up before dashing off to the big event, which was a level of niceness I appreciated. Definitely book in advance. They have wigs in a variety of colors; one is guaranteed to be just a leeeetle bit different than your own natural hair color, so that everyone can see that it is indeed, extremely fake. Yay! They sell wigs of all colors and styles, which is just great. They also sell hair and beauty products geared toward an Asian and Indian audience. Ok so I wouldn't be the first person to run into a shop and buy a wig and to be honest I really don't like the way my head itchy and sweaty and so I don't even wear them for halloween. However, my sister got married recently and when I told the hair dresser what I wanted her to do to my hair she said that it just wasn't possible. She said that the celebrity who had the hair style I had seen had all kinds of bits and pieces added to her hair. So she said that I'd either have to get a plaited hair piece, or buy a wig to get the look. Not that I was going to have to wear the wig, but that the hair on it would be less damaged and more manageable. Alas, I didn't end up getting a wig, but I did stop into No Worry and I was amazed at all the different hair extensions and other supplies they do have. I ended up getting a plaited headband, we cut it and pinned it into my hair and nobody was any wiser that it wasn't all natural!

She coloured my hair 4 months ago, today just a cut, but she is so good at doing my highlights that after the cut it was not only fab, but you would think i had only them done today. They tend to be good at listening to you (important, and certainly lacking in lots of hairdressers) and on giving you advice about the style you want and other hair related questions you might have. Prices are fairly standard: not too cheap but not too expensive either and the staff are usually very friendly. Annoyingly though there is no getting around their insistence that you must have been allergy tested in the last year by them before they will dye your hair. I've been caught out by this one more than once, and yes I know its for my own good but I want my roots done NOW!! *throws tantrum*
