I'm going to review this establishment from the point of view of somebody who actually went into the place, bought items and had services done by their cosmetic staff. Not from people who never even went into the place.
Yes, they have a security guard out front as do 90% of the establishments along the street. They are generally very nice and very to deter theft. I looked around for little while and found a few items that I like, and I went back the next day to have one of the hairstylist do my hair. The staff, including the owner who I believe was at the front desk when I was there, were extremely friendly. They were all very genuinely friendly, which I loved.
I was extremely happy with the quality of the work they did on my hair. My stylist was Elaine who is very talented and has been doing hair for more than 10 years. To be more specific about the service, I had a hair extensions put in, which I've never had before but always love the way they look when the quality is good. I chose Russian quality, which is the best you can get, and Elaine had everything looking natural and beautiful within an hour and a half. When everything was finished, they go through the dues and don'ts of the aftercare including how long they will last and how to wash. They give you free shampoo and conditioner along with a brush that's meant specifically for this kind of hair. I got compliments within five minutes of leaving the salon!
I would like to add, for the people who said that they had trouble coloring the hair that they bought, there are signs every 5 feet in the store and most notably at the cash register that say they are not liable for any changes you made. That typically applies to the hair extensions bought individually but for the hair extensions I had put in, I am very able to color them, and style than the way I please. So please be cautious when purchasing certain products without reading the morning's first, it makes your complaints after-the-fact invalid. read more
