It has an interesting history and some pieces are original. standing today with the cabinets from the story still standing. This former pharmacy sells secondhand books & crafts. It was very crowded with all kinds of objects and only room for only about 5 people to stand. We learned from the shopkeeper that normally on the weekends the owner of the shop will play music. He just so happened to take his first holiday in over 3 years while we were there, so unfortunately we missed him. It was a great quick stop and if you time it right, it is worth peeking in for a visit.

Open until 10pm you probably won't find a later opening pharmacy in the area, and because of it's location on O'Connell Street near O'Connell Bridge you would find yourself passing it reasonably often. Location brings other things too, like the constant feeling that the security people are going to jump you if you move too close to anything in the shop! And price are a little higher than the more suburban pharmacies, but I guess you can't complain when the location and opening hours probably make that necessary.

They offer really good advice and I usually go in here before I decide to visit the doctor. A perfect example was last month when I had a really sore throat. They now offer a "Sore Throat Test and Treat Service" so they took a swab from my throat and were able to tell me in a few minutes what the cause was. As it was not bacterial (Strep Throat) they told me i could treat it with over the counter medicines. If it had been Strep Throat they would have sent me to my doctor to get antibiotics. It only cost me €7.50 and saved me the time and expense of visiting my doctor. On many occasions they have given me really helpful advice about the medicines I was taking and they are very friendly and approachable.

A short, middle-aged, pock-mark-faced man barked 'Yes!' at me from the till. I was unable to give all my symptoms as he cut me off to snarl 'allergic to ibuprofen?' . He then proceeded to reel off some instructions at top speed, that I could not grasp. After he snapped the price at me, I gave him my card with a look of incredulity. He couldn't even deign look at me when returning my card and dangled it from his fingers while looking away. In all my life, I have never been on the receiving end of such ridiculously bad service. With so many pharmacies in the area, I will be taking my custom elsewhere in the future, and I recommend others to do the same.

Over the years I have collected my medical pharmacy scripts and always been greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming team. The courtesy they show everyone is lovely to witness. Additionally, the pharmacy has a large range of Neals' Yard products - always something of a goldmine find!! Since the price to purchase one was only slightly more than a weeklong rental, the choice was clear. After much looking around, we found the Murray website and were able to order a rollator over the phone and pick it up here. It was even on sale. When we went to pick it up, they pushed out a box. We tentatively asked if we needed to assemble it, and they very kindly opened the box, assembled it, and showed us how to adjust the height & fold it up. We even found some excellent Spenco shoe inserts here. Warm customer service, and reasonable prices!

Literally if you're sick and you need something this will cure you (ok not everything, but within reason). They've got a huge section for medicines both prescription and over-the-counter. I suppose what they really specialise in though is medical equipment. So if you've sprained your ankle and need a pair of crutches, etc this is where you'll be able to find the stuff you need.

Bought a cold reliever for €7.35 when the price tag on the self said €5.99; didn't complain as it was only a few cents. The prices overall high and not worth the price. The selection here was pretty bare, with no signs of restock once the product had run out. Whole shelves were bare. The service here was very subpar. All the staff seemed stressed, and the till operator was very rude and loud. I understand the stress of working the holidays, but the rudeness was uncalled for. Additionally, there were staff standing around talking while others were working. Better places to go than here
