As a plus-size woman, I expected only modest results, which I would have been happy with. But Dr. Smith completely proved me wrong! From my very first consultation, everything was explained thoroughly, and I felt informed and comfortable throughout the entire process. The pricing was very fair, especially considering I had an extended abdominoplasty, liposuction, and a fat transfer to my buttocks (BBL). Scheduling my surgery was simple, and before my procedure I had another appointment where every detail was reviewed, including what to expect during recovery and everything I needed to do beforehand. I was especially impressed by how proactive the team was. They arranged my cardiac clearance, blood work, started me on antibiotics, and made sure I had all of my medications before surgery, which made the entire experience much less stressful. My surgical package also included an overnight nurse, my compression garment (faja), and all follow-up appointments, which added tremendous value. The on-site surgical center is beautiful, modern, and state of the art. When I saw my results on the very first day after surgery, I was absolutely stunned. Even while wearing my compression garment, my lower hanging belly was completely gone. The emotions and joy I felt are impossible to put into words. During the first two weeks of recovery, I had several follow-up appointments, and every member of the staff was caring, patient, and accommodating. Whenever I had questions or concerns, I could email or call, and Natasja always responded quickly with reassurance and support. We had one small scheduling mix-up, but the staff resolved it immediately and made the situation completely stress-free. I also had lymphatic massages with Lindsey, and she was absolutely amazing. She made such a difference in my recovery and was wonderful to work with. I truly cannot say enough about Dr. Smith and his incredible team. Their professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail and sense of humor made this an exceptional experience from beginning to end. I had a rhinoplasty and septoplasty performed by Dr. Smith in late 2019. This is my honest account…read moreof my experience. I have nothing to gain or lose by sharing it. Dr. Smith & his anesthesiologist were excellent. I remember telling Dr. Smith after surgery, "Your anesthesiologist was amazing." He replied, "Good. He better be, because I pay him a lot of money." I told him the anesthesiologist deserved a bonus. That part of my experience could not have gone more smoothly. Unfortunately, my experiences with several members of the staff have stayed with me to this day. Immediately before surgery, a staff member appeared extremely nervous while attempting several times to start my IV. I normally have no difficulty with IVs and have a high pain tolerance, but her visible anxiety and constant apologizing made me increasingly anxious & almost physically sick. Thankfully, the anesthesiologist stepped in & successfully placed it immediately. My first appointment after surgery affected me the most. I had just endured one of the worst nights of sleep of my life because my nose was tightly packed. I was in tremendous pain & doing everything I could to hold myself together in the waiting area. Two staff members were laughing loudly & joking with each other in the back. That did not initially bother me because I was simply trying to manage my pain. However, when I was called into the room, they remained in the same playful mood & began speaking to me in an exaggerated, babyish voice. They explained that they were going to remove the packing & give me a "mustache," referring to the gauze beneath my nose. They repeatedly told me in that same babyish voice that I was going to "have a mustache for a while." I felt mocked, patronized, & humiliated. I was an adult recovering from major surgery & in significant pain. I simply needed to be treated calmly & respectfully. Instead, I remained silent & answered only by nodding when necessary. When the packing was removed from the right side of my nose, the pain was unbearable. I felt intense pain travel through my nose & around my eyes, along with a distinct sensation that something had shifted or been knocked out of place. The pain continued afterward. The packing on the other side came out easily. I immediately began crying. Only after they saw me crying did their demeanor change and they begin speaking to me appropriately. As I continued caring for my nose during recovery, I could see that my septum appeared significantly bent to one side. I was devastated because I had specifically paid to have a septoplasty along with the rhinoplasty. I cannot know with certainty what caused it. I do not know whether the septoplasty did not heal as intended, whether there was a surgical complication, or whether something was affected when the packing was removed. However, because of the extreme pain & the sensation of something shifting during the nasal packing removal, I have always believed that something may have happened at that appt. The first time I brought the issue to Dr. Smith's attention, my nose was still healing & the area was covered with what I was told was scar tissue. He initially said everything was fine. At a later appointment, he examined it again & acknowledged that the septum was bent to one side. I tried to explain what I had experienced during the packing removal, but I never received a clear explanation. I felt dismissed & as though no one believed me. Eventually, I began accepting that this might simply be my new normal. I had another disappointing experience when my external cast was removed. The staff member handed me a mirror and excitedly told me, "Don't look at it yet!" She seemed determined to create a dramatic reveal. Internally, I was furious. I had spent more than $10,000 on a rhinoplasty & septoplasty, was already concerned about my septum, & had been waiting to see the result of my own surgery. I did not appreciate being told when I was allowed to look at my own face so that someone else could enjoy my reaction. When she finally gave me "permission" to look, I briefly glanced at my nose, handed the mirror back, & simply said, "I'm good." Seeing my nose for the first time should have been my moment, & I did not want anyone to take that away from me. That is my honest experience. I still do not know exactly what happened with my septum, but it remains visibly bent to one side (I still believe something happened during the nasal packing removal). More than anything, I wish my concerns had been taken seriously & that I had received a clear explanation. Externally, my nose is beautiful, & I am happy with its overall appearance. Dr. Smith did excellent cosmetic work. His anesthesiologist was also outstanding. Unfortunately, the way I was treated by certain members of the postoperative staff, along with the unresolved result of my septoplasty, continues to overshadow what otherwise could have been a very positive experience.

I went to a few other consults with other surgeons before I ended up making the decision to have Dr. Herte do my revision and I definitely made the right choice going with her! She swapped out my 300cc saline implants that were 13 years old and replaced them with a little bit larger silicone implants. She also preformed a modified lift on one side and was able to hide my incisions in the crease under my breast so they are not visible. She also had to revise my pockets and release some tissue tightness to make sure the shape of my breast were evenly round. Even after having all that done I am experiencing very minimal bruising and swelling. I appreciate her attention to every detail big and small. She helped me pick out the perfect size for my body and made me feel very confident with my size choice going into surgery. It took me over a year to write this review because I wanted to make sure I was fully healed and…read moredidn't jump the gun with any of my results and leave a review too soon. I went in to have a consultation with stile in the summer of 2025. He was very rude to my husband straight out of the gate and spoke quickly and was dismissive. BUT, we don't pick doctors based on bedside manner... we pick them based on skill. You can be as sweet as pie but that's not what gets the job done (although it's nice when a doctor is easy to communicate with... and he isn't). I naturally have very asymmetrical breasts and I had an existing tummy tuck scar that needed revised in just a very small area... about 4 inches. So I wanted a lift on my right breast, new implants, and a small tummy tuck scar revision. Easy? Apparently not. After the first procedure I left with slightly bigger and the same exact asymmetry as when I went in but with the added nipple scar from the crescent lift he did. The drains were all kinked and twisted in side my breasts , so when he pulled them out it was like a slamming inside and unkinking as he pulled. Wow, that was traumatizing. I'm good with pain and have had drains before. Never experienced this. Then fairly quickly my tummy tuck scar sank! Tethered and sank in and looked worse than when I went in. I went back in and he was very dismissive and wouldn't let me speak much. His response was "ITS FIIIIIINE ITS NO BIG DEALLLLLL WE WILL FIX IT." Well it is a big deal... due to my type of work I'm taking extensive unpaid time off for this every time he operates, PLUS this is another 1200.00 for anesthesia on top of the 30,000 I already paid. So at the 90-day mark we did it all over again. Revised the tummy tuck and he did a full anchor lift this time (which he acknowledged should have absolutely been done the first go-round as a crescent lift would have never given me the proper results....THEN WHY DID YOU DO IT!?). I did the wolverine stack injection for healing which helped me tremendously this time for the breast. I healed pretty well. Absolutely couldn't put makeup on any of it at the 2-4 week mark like he told me... it was several months before I could. The tummy tuck scar sunk once again and his response to me over text was "I CANT HELP HOW YOU HEAL." I went to all of my follow ups which my husband was not allowed to attend. You can't bring any loved ones with you. They try to say it's because they don't have enough room but that's not true AT ALL. At rest, my breasts look great but I don't dare flex even the tiniest bit or the animation deformity is insane looking. I'm getting my scar some therapy soon and gonna try to get it loosened in the areas where it's indented and tight. Nothing I can really do about the stomach other than have another doctor redo it. Maybe eventually but I still haven't even paid off stile yet so I just have to live with it for now. I think he knows how to do breasts well. I don't believe he specializes enough in any other area to do work on other parts of the body. I don't think any surgeon is a one-size-fits-all anyway. You should go to a surgeon based on their specialty and his is breasts. So, that's on me for having the "boob guy" do my stomach. I wouldn't go back. He does breasts fairly well but not good enough to overshadow his awful bedside manner and results based on his prices. If u are gonna be awful, charge 30,000.00+, have me go through multiple surgeries causing me to miss months of work which equaled at least 10,000.00, then your results better be flawless. The stomach portion alone was 10 or 12 grand and I look the same but the scar is now larger.

The entire visit with the doctor lasted less than five minutes. I was then sent for blood work. Even though I had fasted beforehand just in case, I was told the specific test had to be completed before a certain time, so I had to schedule another appointment. When I returned for my second appointment after making another 30-minute drive, I was informed that the phlebotomist wasn't there, so I couldn't even have my blood drawn. After two disappointing visits, I decided not to return to this office. To make matters worse, I later received a bill for an additional $73. I spent over six months trying to get someone to explain why I owed more money after already paying my copay. I called weekly, left countless messages, and never received a return call. Because no one would respond, the balance was eventually sent to collections. I paid the balance just to deal with the collections issue, then disputed the charge with my bank because even they agreed the situation seemed unusual. Despite that, I am still being billed for the same charge. Once again, I spent months trying to get answers with no response. When I finally reached someone, I was essentially told that if I didn't pay, it would simply be sent to collections again. No one could actually explain why I owed the money. I no longer have the insurance I had at the time of my visit, and I was also told the doctor I originally saw doesn't even work there anymore. The lack of communication and patient care at this office is unacceptable. Ignoring patients for months while continuing to bill them and threaten collections is not how a medical practice should operate. If they put even half as much effort into helping their patients as they do collecting money, this situation could have been resolved long ago. I will never return and would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a practice that values communication, professionalism, or patient care.
