Not the best experience at all this evening. I normally enjoy my shopping here but lately these…read moremean and hateful employees make it unbearable to want to come here. Here to pick up a Western Union money transfer and I'm met with a disgusting attitude from Deshire or Deshine, however her name is spelled. She's making it seem like it's my fault that there is no staff member available at the photo lab AND the drawers are locked AND Walgreens won't let employees put a sign on the kiosks that staff is not available AND it's almost 9 o'clock and Western Union closes at 9pm. I had enough of that attitude and just yelled back that I'm not here for all of these stupid excuses. Just fulfill my transaction. I mean, it's difficult to get folks to do their jobs these days and I'm sick of having to walk on egg shells because they're having to do a job they agreed to. Sheesh!!

I typically don't do reviews of places like Walgreens... but I'm compelled to because this location…read moreis just not good. This location is closest to my home, so my prescriptions are there due to proximity and ease of getting to the location. But there is little easy about picking up a prescription here. Whether you go inside or use the drive thru, it's always a wait. Typically if you're in the drive thru line, and there are 3 cars in front of you, you're looking at no less than 20 minutes from the time you get in line. Inside, they are only moderately better. But of course to write a review, there had to have been a deciding factor... I happened to drive by and there was no one in the line at all at the drive thru. Perfect opportunity to get in and out quickly. I pull up and see at least 3 people inside working. I know that not everyone can do the sales part, there may be an assistant who just works filling bottles. But three people. I waited. 10 minutes later I had not only not been served, but hadn't been acknowledged. It's one thing to not be able to get to me because you're busy, it's another altogether to simply pretend I'm not there. After that 10 minutes, I left. I think what is more annoying is I get daily robocalls from Walgreens telling me to come pick up my prescription. I TRIED, no one wanted to sell them to me... Trust me, were it not for the proximity, I would have left this Walgreens long ago.

This review is based on their auto dept: I purchased a set of 4 Pirelli tires in November 2025…read more This month, I noticed that there was a nail in my tire. So since the tires were new, I went back to Sam's so that they could repair my tire. After waiting 2 hours, the technician told me that he could not fix my tire because the nail was in a certain spot. He said that I would have to get a new tire even though I had the road hazard policy. I was outraged!!! I left and went to get a patch at a local tire shop.

Went one Saturday and it was pretty packed (as expected). When you walk in they have some school…read moreand sports gear like tents, chairs, clothes, and etc. I believe it was LSU, Saints, and Xavier University. While I appreciated that they had Xavier stuff (as I am an HBCU graduate), I think it would be nice if they also offered gear for other schools in the city. I graduated from Dillard University (which is also in New Orleans) and would love to have the option to purchase a lawn chair and gear for my school. Some other schools in the city who could be represented include Tulane, Loyola, SUNO, UNO, Delgado, and etc. We were able to get the other items that we were looking for and enjoyed some of the free samples while there. Decided to get pizza on the way out which was pretty good. You can't beat Sam's pizza for the price and size. The fountain drink machines weren't working which was a bummer, so anyone wanting a drink it had to get a canned drink.

I'd been having a really bad dry cough and itchy ears. After intense googling on remedies and what…read moremay be the cause I realized that I may have an ear infection and need to have the wax removed from my ears. Since this was a Saturday during Mardi Gras I needed very quick relief and my primary care physician was out of the question. I also searched nearby urgent care clinics, but Google led me to CVS Minute Clinic. The Minute Clinic is able to provide vaccinations including the flu shot, physicals, glucose testing, and a host of other services as well as write prescriptions. The Minute Clinic is a lifesaver! The Claiborne location is the only one available in New Orleans. There's one or 2 available in Metairie and a few offered on the NorthShore. I walked right in around 10 am on Sunday (though they open at 9am) and thought that I'd be seen right away. You go to the back of the store and there's an electronic kiosk that you check in on. Heads up: you can register online to make an appointment. Something I wish I knew before hand. There were 3 people ahead of me so I was looking at a 45 minute wait. The Minute Clinic accepts insurance, but it's best to check with your provider to see if the services you need are covered on your plan. I was seen within 45 minutes by the nurse practitioner, got my diagnoses, and they put in my prescription with the pharmacy and my meds were ready 10 minutes after I finished. Overall, very good experience and i am glad to know there's an alternative to urgent care within the city with extended hours and can easily get a prescription called in.

Trying to talk to a live person when calling this drug store is impossible. Their AI answering…read moreservice does not understand requests and asking to speak to a representative or pharmacist gets you to voice mail. In other words, their service is terrible, if not worse than terrible.
