Today I get a call asking for payment. The payment was for $1030.00. What could they possibly have done this early in the season for $1000? The man I spoke with was very kind. He had his manager call me. He was not kind. He basically called me a liar, talked over me, tried to trip me up. I recommend making sure everything is in writing. They will deny a phone call ever happened. I paid them today. I'm not happy that I did but I don't want the stress of going through a battle. Honestly I don't think I've ever been treated like that by a service company.

As posted in a previous review, Greener Living performed sub-standard service and damaged my property. I eventually asked for a refund and was told I would receive it. We're now 54 days since that initial confirmation that it was "processed" and still no refund. Caymen ("President and Owner") even responded to one of my previous reviews confirming yet again that the refund was "processed" and it could "take two weeks." We're now past two weeks since that date and still no refund. Brian and Caymen are refusing to respond to emails. The original refund acknowledgement was from Brian on August 23 - that is 54 days ago. The second refund acknowledgement was from Brian on September 3 - that is 43 days ago. The third refund acknowledgement was from Caymen on September 13 - that is 33 days ago. We are well past a, ridiculously generous, two-week window for a credit card refund to arrive. Let this serve as a warning if you are considering doing business with Greener Living - look elsewhere. They do not care about your property or your business.

Thirdly, when Gerry and his crew cut, they do a really careful and thorough job, and leave no mess or damage behind. I've always thought, well, okay, get the trees cut. But Gerry gets the tree shaped and pruned, to the point, you don't need to call them for another 5 years. I think I threw away money on all the previous people, watching this crew work. Amazing fantastic job! And very very reasonable for that type of informed work. We had an immense sugar maple cut completely away from house and the open wounds were sealed; maple that was growing over our roof cut completely pruned--all sides, magnolia & red maple, pruned away from house, cherry wood --one huge dead branch (neighbor's tree) off, and an apple tree completely pruned. When Gerry prunes, he does everything, so that means, you're not just getting one branch off. He's quoting you to trim the entire tree, so if you want one branch, tell him. Great communication Great price. I felt like I did not pay enough but it was all we can afford right now. Def will have crew back for the rest of our trees soon. He brings out 4-5 other people with him, a chipper, a boom arm machine, and they clean up great.....I was very impressed.

I liked Anne's vision after viewing her website and set up an appointment to give me her professional perspective on a design. It was thoughtful and, simply amazing. I looked up the plants she recommended that I was unfamiliar with and sat there stupefied when I read how perfect they would be for our house. Her site design included water flow elevations which I appreciated greatly. Her team was hard working, professional and friendly. It boggles my mind that all the work (from old grass removal, to soil prep, planting , then mulching) was all completed in one day. I am so incredibly pleased with with the project. These worm castings helped my tomatoes grow tenfold while minimizing pest pressure. I believe the worm casting were the sole reason of my plants health. We had a terrible experience with AJ. They came out to do an overhaul of our backyard. We had…read moreinherited a weed filled mess when we purchased our home. Initially we were pleased with the team who did the work and the job that was completed. However, shortly after they seeded for new grass, all of the weeds we had requested be remediated began to come back. They were overpowering the grass seed and the grass was therefore not able to grow. We spent a week calling AJ with no response. We finally got a call back from Carol (owner) after many days who told us we were not taking care of the lawn or following instructions and it was our fault. This was false as we had two sprinklers watering morning and night in each spot where grass seed had been put down. At this point we called AJ and left a message saying we would like to know what we should do as we were not getting grass even though we were following their instructions, and it seemed that the weeds were taking over. They did not call back, and they continued to not call back after we left them a voicemail every day for a week. When we finally did get in contact with them, Jim (the owner) was extremely rude and condescending to me. He said he was ignoring my calls because he had nothing to say to me. He also said stop being so uptight it will all work out. When Jim talked to me he told me he was personally checking our lawn regularly. When he talked to my husband he said he was sending a soil specialist to check our lawn regularly. Not sure which or if either was the truth. They then sent someone a week later to look at the yard and put peet moss down. This still did not cure the weed issue, and in fact fed the issue more, so we continued to call again. They ignored our phone calls once again and we could not get into contact with them. We finally had to take care of the lawn issues ourselves, as we had had the weeds over grow once and we were unable to combat them at that point. We did not want to get into this situation again, and since AJ would not get into contact with us we had to take matters into our own hands. I left them a message stating we would pay approximately 85% of the price since the work was never completed if they would agree we could part ways. They of course never called me back. The last straw was a week after we left them a voicemail about payment. Jim came to my home and was wandering the backyard. I then stepped out of the shower to hear him ringing the doorbell repeatedly and banging on the front door. He did this at least three times before leaving. I was scared to answer the door as his loud banging did not leave me confident that he could resolve this matter face to face without any further altercation. We have submitted full payment to them to hopefully ensure that they never let themselves on our property again. This has been the worst experience in customer service my husband or I have ever received.
