I reached out to the Seller right away and was ignored (for over 10 days). After starting a PayPal claim due to the lack of response from her, they told me they'd send me a return shipping label. That never happened, despite multiple messages and follow-ups. And now there is just silence. To ​top it off, PayPal denied my claim because I haven't returned the item​ but​ I can't return it without the label the Seller promised to send​. The quote for me to ship was anywhere from $200-$1000. It feels like a deliberate runaround designed to make me give up. What really bothers me is how little accountability the Seller has taken. No ownership, no apology, no resolution​, just avoidance. And now I'm out both the money and a functioning product. After this whole mess, I went back and read the other one​ star reviews. I wish I had done that sooner. There's a clear pattern here​, other buyers have had nearly identical experiences. SoI try to explain I'm very experienced here - I'm retired but used to be very big in the reptile industry and bred thousands of my own fruit flies - and said I'm sorry but you're wrong. flightless HYdei HAVE wings and are genetically predisposed to not flying. It's a GENE. I told her yours are tainted with regular flying fruit Flies. Her answer - I'm not going to argue with you, you can just give them back. Then she repeats the same answer of why I have "some" flying around. They're ALL flying. I explained the gas would be more to drive there and return them, that I was now more concerned over the bad info she was pushing considering. She repeated the same untrue info on flightless fruit fly genetics. ?? Then she kept adding I'm not going to argue. My only concern for posting this is - what else do these workers push as qualified knowledgeable info to customers that is completely wrong?? It's a simple product and issue but her info on this is incorrect. I ran a hot professional breeding facility for 18 years. I breed fruit flies like crazy. They helped me find the right food for my dog who was going through a nasty bout of digestive problems, and now he's back to great shape. He gets excited when we pull into the parking lot since he loves visiting the store (and it doesn't hurt that he always gets a new toy or treat after each visit). I even used their new self-bathing system and it worked great - no mess in my house to clean up afterwards. I know from talking to people in the dog parks that everyone has a different opinion about dog training, what food to feed, what breeder to use, etc. The poster before obviously has strong opinions about hedgehogs, but that doesn't mean they're necessarily shared by everyone. But she led me over to the check-out where she proceeded to research on the internet potential solutions for my pet. In the end we found someone with a similar problem, and they mentioned their solution. I will always be greateful, Kita is still alive and well. There are 3 staff that work at the Brant Street location and all of them are terrific, if you haven't experienced this store before check it out on a Friday which is the day when you get free dog treats if you bring your dog into the location with NO PURCHASE necessary. Be warned the prices on much of the products in the store are rather expensive but that is because the quality of the product is above what you will find at most locations however there are several decent products to buy which are rather cheap such as their individual cookies, pig ears and raw or baked marrow bones which are three of my dogs favorite treats. They also price match, once confirmed they will match the price of a competitor for identical items. This location also offers a full self-washing facility complete with a locking door and locking gate for their tub which is large enough to accommodate several hundred pounds of dog (it makes me 102 pound lab look small). Do yourself a favor and experience what Mike and others have to offer at this location and I'm sure you'll keep coming back specifically to say hello to them and just be in a friendly environment.
