This review is for delivery only…read more I placed an order online for 3 small plants only 2 days before I had this hand delivered to my front door. Delivery was seamless and quick. Not to mention the plants came well packed and healthy! Thank you for these gorgeous plants. The prices aren't too bad, though the delivery fee was a bit hefty for what I purchased. I didn't have the means to drop by in stores, unfortunately so the delivery fee was well worth it to me. Great experience overall! Hope to stop by one day in person.

GORGEOUS little plant store in the heart of West Queen West…read more The staff are really knowledgable and will help guide you over to the plants that works best for you and your home. The space is bright and airy, kind of exactly the plant shop you probably imagine yourself opening. I've bought some great little succulents and planter pots as gifts. The range they have is so inspiring! Prices are fair. From what I hear, Toronto actually has pretty decently priced exotic plants compared to cities like Ottawa, since they're usually shipped here first.

The plants I got have a reservoir in the bottoms to prevent roots drying out which is a bonus and makes for easier care. It was the first time I would own a fiddle leaf fig, so I was nervous as I know of its reputation as a high maintenance plant. Alex was so helpful, helping us with the plant selection and providing a lot of information regarding how to care for them. Even a month after I bought the plants, he was great with communicating with me and answering my questions about caring for my diva plants. Absolutely fantastic customer service. Will definitely buy from him again!

Valleyview is a huge garden center that houses the most plants I've ever seen in one area. They've got everything for your gardening needs. I've been picking up my flowers and herbs for a couple years here. They've always been great quality, bloom wonderfully, and just generally healthy happy plants (anything contrary to that is because of user error). I also love their hardware. Such pretty pots and vases. Once in awhile, they have pretty good deals. They had a bunch of potted herbs for about $2.00 at the beginning of this summer. We also picked up a bonsai on sale. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable so even though the center is huge, it doesn't feel too intimidating.

How did we not know about this garden centre???…read more My husband started gardening last year and had great success, so he wanted to branch out (pun intended)! The staff are amazing; so friendly and helpful (shout out to Giancarlo for gardening tips), while the selection is mind-boggling! We spent over 2 hours and left with plants we couldn't find elsewhere, like Birds of Paradise, bougainvillea, blueberry cherry tomatoes, broccolini, and so much more! We bought a blueberry bush last year, and the berries tasted a bit sour, but Valleyview has several varieties, like Jelly Bean! We ended up getting 4 different bushes! We spent several hundred dollars, and returned a few days later to pick up more items! I had to urge my husband to stop - lol This is definitely our go-to place from now on! Notes: - Family-owned & operated since 1970 - Super busy, especially on weekends, so parking will be tight/limited - Washrooms available

John Rose Farm is run by the sweetest people!!! It's located in Ajax inside the "Eyebrow Threading…read moreLady" shop. Plenty of parking in their parking lot. It does get busy at certain times of the day, but cars come in and out frequently. I first cake here to purchase some beneficial bugs a few months ago to control fungus gnats. It was $0.50/pack (so reasonable) and they're good for many different types of pests. I plan on getting way more of them when they're available. They have an online store and an Etsy shop where you can buy plants online. I haven't purchased any plants from them yet, so can't comment on the quality. But back to me saying they're the sweetest people ever. The owners of John Rose Farm had way too many apples to pick before they went bad. They posted on Instagram saying they were giving away free apples. You could pick it up from their pop-up location. I offered to pick it up there, but the owner said there would be lots of traffic going that way at that time, so she dropped it off at my house instead. Sooooo kind!!! I also know a few people who have worked with them before and said they were really nice people too. Def the kind of local businesses I love to support!
