I have been teaching math since 2001. This is the 5th school I have had the opportunity to teach…read moreat. The Einstein School is really an awesome school to be part of. The hardest part of being an educator is to teach a lesson in 55 mins to a group of 25-30 students, review their homework, monitor each student's individual progress, spend some quality time working with each of them to make sure they understand the material, come up with different strategies to reteach, monitor instruction to meet each student's individual need (i.e. special education, 504, OHI, ESL, etc.) and have time to get students prepared for their State of Texas Annual STAAR Assessments and/or EOCs (End of Course) Exams. What I love about teaching here, is that I have the freedom to teach. I can go back and reteach or come up with another assessment. I can get to know my students with no more than 8 students per class. We typically do not assign homework, so I am working side by side with students while they do the work. I don't have to worry about the State Assessments because they do not apply to the Einstein School. Last school year (2013-2014) in their 3rd year of operation, 18 Seniors Graduated and ALL 18 WERE ACCEPTED INTO COLLEGE. This school year (2015-2016) is our 5th year in operation and we are now around 100 students and growing. About 5 new students start this week (Jan 5-8). One of our Seniors this school year was accepted into Auburn University last month! If you have a child that just feels like they "don't fit in" or are "lost in the crowd of 30 students in a class" or "feel like their teachers don't help them or care", then visit our school. You can even attend classes for a day or so and just try it out without any pressure. If I was ever going to design my own school, it would be something like the Einstein School. Kids do learn in different styles. Not everyone learns the same way. We have to change the way we teach. JohnK Wright, V M.S. This school is a huge disappointment, and I cannot recommend it. The classes are way bigger than…read morewas advertised. The classrooms are all very small compared to how many kids are in them. The teachers mostly all seem very good at their job but end up having to slow the course down for the lowest level students. Classes get taken over by kids with behavior problems who get sent to the office and then come back to class five minutes later to do the same thing again. These kids just enjoy derailing the class and going to the office EVERY DAY. The teachers eventually just stop sending problem kids because its pointless. It ends up that a lot of classes are just run by the loudest kids who won't stop talking despite being sent to the office over and over. I feel bad for the teachers here. It's also a pretty open secret that kids can basically not do any work throughout the semester and even skip school without consequences. They will just be passed at the end of the year. I get they are trying to create a "nice" environment, but really its just an school without rules or real education. Your student will only be frustrated by the lack of real learning and the many kids who hate work and learning. Not only that, when they do graduate, they will be completely unprepared for college. I do not recommend the Einstein School, no matter lies they give you up front.

If you're not christian? Good luck! They have no other plan for you and you have to sit for hours at a time for mass and much more. If you appear to be disabled, some staff were extremely rude and genuinely lied about students behavior to get them in trouble for no reason and/or picked on them. One math teacher I had screamed at me and other students constantly and taught with fear rather then patience, I used to cry because she would pick on me over and over again in class because I have a sleeping disorder and mental illness so I wasn't preforming well. Do you like being discriminated against based on how you act and dress? Fear not this place will do that to you! If you wear a non normal fashion they will target you and follow you around in the mornings to make sure you don't have anything thats not allowed in dress code. The rules are made up. by the teachers half the time It says so in the student handbook. Most teachers were great but the disciplinary department is so awful. If you want your kids to cry every night because they don't think they're good enough then send them here. Send them to BL or any other school but this one, I will never forget a lot of the trauma I experienced here and I'm disgusted by this school because I paid for it.

The teachers communicate well by sending daily updates, weekly pictures, and by providing the curriculum so we can reinforce what she has learned at home. Everyone at DIS cares about our daughter; from her teachers and the teachers assistants that are with her everyday, to the receptionist that greets her daily - "Bonjour!" We love DIS, the community feel, and are so grateful for the opportunities it will provide our daughter.
