They layout of the campus is beautiful. It is a 96 acre 5 building facility that looks much more like a junior college than a high school. It has duck ponds with fountains and walkways throughout the campus. At the time, I had never seen a high school quite like that. Today, there are some others with similar designs, but mostly it is still cutting edge for high school layouts. Most recently I was here for a fund raiser holiday bazaar they hold every year. The campus is still as beautiful as it ever was!

Most teachers are passionate about what they teach and most go beyond the call of duty. The school prides itself on a high percentage of AP students, and rightfully so! Lovejoy has something extracurricular for everyone. There is the traditional football, cheer/ drill team, volleyball, baseball, 4H etc. And then there's opportunities unlike other high schools, like Golf, Bowling, Medical Program, Lacrosse and many many more. Lovejoy supports all the activities and the school spirit can be really exciting when they combine in activities along side actual events, like Homecoming. Bullying exists. It still isn't handled to my standards, but overall the school offers a "safe environment". Like most high schools these day, Lovejoy also keeps a cop on the property at all times and the presence of a cop keeps everyone in line.

I have also attended dance competitions and show offs for my daughter's middle school and high school years for drill team. My HS Freshman is on XC at Wylie East and they have had meets at this campus. He's also attended a baseball event here. Their baseball field is nice. Both of my children's Art work has been displayed at this campus from Middle School years, leading up to High School. Traffic in this area of the school campus and surrounding areas can be frustrating at times getting in and out. Crossing guard/crosswalk area can get chaotic with students going back and forth in the morning and afternoon, while everyone is commuting to work. Lots of students head over to the nearby shopping center that also has fast food places to eat at, so this can cause huge delays, which causes backed up traffic. Our HOCO parade is mapped out at this campus/stadium. Nice stadium for Friday night lights!

Also, it's only a 4 day school week! Longer days, but 3 day weekends, which I think is a fair trade. It is a smaller school, but that's what helps make it feel safe and inviting. Everyone we have met there so far has been very welcoming and pleasant. We submitted every required admission document a full week before school began, including complete information about my son's previous school, and he was accepted without issue. Yet on only his second day, he was abruptly removed over a code-of-conduct matter from his previous school. He had no behavioral issues at Trivium and genuinely loved attending. Worse, his belongings were packed up in front of classmates, causing unnecessary humiliation and emotional distress. Despite repeatedly contacting Principal Chrissi Cawthon and Superintendent Sheryl Bradley and requesting documentation and investigation details, we received no meaningful explanation or accountability. This experience was unacceptable, and I would give this campus the absolute lowest rating possible.
