The staff here are always so helpful and nice. They all do a very good job on not making you feel awkward about the questions you have and the questions they ask. NP Amy is very sweet and knowledgeable. She always listens to my concerns and is very compassionate. Scheduling is always easy. They offer so many important services. I didn't have insurance for the longest time and they were the only place I could get care from. I have insurance now but they are my preferred reproductive services place. The only thing I don't like is the location as it is not the easiest to drive to and park. read more

I had a wonderful visit with Susan! I went in for general testing and Susan was both personable and professional the entire time. We had an awesome conversation and it just so happens we grew up not too far from each other! And when it came time to have my blood drawn, Nathalie was the best person I ever had draw my blood. Please do not come here (even if it's the closest Planned Parenthood to you). You deserve to be treated with respect, your time should be valued, and there are other PP clinics out there. I used to like coming here because of the somewhat close distance to my home via Bart. I used to be treated like a human being by the reception staff. I've previously received great care from the medical staff in my times of need. I've either dropped in or scheduled an appt not having to wait too long. I've donated to Planned Parenthood when I've been able to. I am a social worker, in between jobs & have no health insurance right now. But, TODAY, I don't know what was up with the clinic being so behind today? And is it that difficult to provide decent customer service to folks who may already feel embarassed or stigmatized?! I called this a.m. and was able to schedule an appt for 6:10pm. I took Bart as usual and was 5 min early. The first reception staff member was friendly. I was really patient waiting because they were busy & I'm an understanding person. My name was called at 6:30pm, the nice medical staff lady asked for my full name and date of birth inside, and apologized that someone else had my exact name & it was their turn. I thought it was funny because my name is somewhat rare. So, I went back to the waiting room. As I continued to wait, many patients were called in & I figured they'd probably been waiting as long as me (if not longer). Then, the not-so-nice front desk staff called my name to ask me basically why I came in today. At least she gave me a piece of paper so I could write it down. I felt like I was wasting her time, like my symptoms weren't a priority & she said she would talk to the doctor. Why would I take the time to trek all the way to this clinic if my concern about my body was so minor? Yes, I came here last week for an appointment, I followed the doctor's directions, but my body is not 100% back to normal and I'm actually scared. You shouldn't hire staff who have 0% compassion to represent Planned Parenthood of all organizations?! Shoot, I'll take that lady's job and give 1000% exceptional customer service just by genuinely treating patients like human beings. So, I wasn't seen until after 7pm. When the same front desk lady with the couldn't-care-less-attitude called me in to take my blood pressure herself (I'm pretty sure she's not a healthcare practitioner), there was no acknowledgment of me waiting almost an hour. I wasn't feeling well & really irritated, but kept my cool & was polite. I tried to make conversation acknowledging that it must have been a busy day and asked what time they close. She was so unconcerned that it wasn't & said 7pm. She did a really brief intake for a few min (I could tell this was not her scope of practice) and said she was still waiting for an available patient room for me and left. It was 7:09pm. I waited until 7:20 then decided to leave the clinic. They must have realized I left at 7:30 because I got a missed call, but no voicemail. I still need medical care. I will find another clinic tomorrow a.m. I still have love for Planned Parenthood, so it will be in another city. read more

I had an amazing visit at this Planned Parenthood. I had a phone appointment for some birth control that Walgreens pharmacy kept messing up. I contacted Hayward Planned Parenthood and Virginia helped me get my correct prescription immediately. She booked the whole appointment, verified what I had wanted, and made sure it was a quick same day pickup. She even helped me when I couldn't find the right pick up location! She answered all my questions and really made my visit so easy. Highly recommend! read more

Worst experience ever! Scheduled an appointment at 12 to get my nexplanon removed + get a new implant; I had called 10 min early letting them know I was right down the street. When I called to let them know, the lady on the phone was EXTREMELY rude. Telling me I may as well not even show up if I'm late, that's she's going to have to reschedule me. When I arrived I did not feel comfortable or welcomed there at all. The vibes that I picked up on this place made me feel unsettled. I got taken back at 1-1:30pm when I got to the back I got some really young woman who didn't seem like she knew what she was talking about. She totally bypassed what I even came for and went straight to asking me if I have aids or chlamydia & if I wanted to get tested...EXCUSE ME; you would think I'd make an appointment for that if I needed it and why'd she have to say it so nasty! I don't know , this experience was horrible. She asked me where my implant was, touched it and said "it's not due till next year" ...I ended up walking out with nothing. I AM NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN, and will make sure nobody that I know goes here; because this should be a place for woman to feel comfortable and get help. You ladies made me feel the COMPLETE opposite when I came. I am completely ashamed that woman work for a planned parenthood and still treat/talk to people like their lives don't matter/they're not important. read more

This is the closest Planned Parenthood I am able to go to and unfortunately I am giving them one star. I had an appointment scheduled today in the morning and since I had a difficult time getting in the parking lot I was a few minutes late. Because of COVID-19 there was nobody inside when I entered. The lady that helped me automatically told me she doesn't know if the clinician can help me just because I was a few minutes late and mind you nobody was in there. Also, nobody on the phone informed me that I had to come in 10 mins before my appointment time. That would've been helpful to know. I was told that I had to reschedule my appointment after taking time out of my day to drive there. I wish I got the lady's name that helped me when I got there at 10:16AM 6/25. She was sitting at the first counter on the right. She scheduled my appointment for tomorrow 6/26 in the same location and I thought everything was good. Later on in the day at almost 4:00PM and one hour before they closed, I received a voicemail saying that the clinician that was supposed to see me got pulled to another clinic tomorrow and that I'd have to reschedule again. There was no available appointments till the following week which made me even more angry. It is just very inconvenient for me to be able to come in especially during this time with the pandemic. I am not going to this location ever again. There is a reason so many people are giving this place one star HAHA. read more

Dr's are friendly and knowledgeable. The staff however have impatient bored annoyed attitudes especially the front staff. Those are all things I could do with out and make a trip to this particular planned parenthood super uncomfortable for me. They are always running behind schedule and I rarely make it in at my actual appointment time. Also the wait times are super obnoxious for walk in appointments. When you advertise that you do walk ins you shouldn't be making ppl wait 2 + hours to be seen. Makes no difference between booking an appointment or not booking an appointment you're still waiting. Update: Here we ago again it's 11/14/18 instead of taking my chances with a walk in a decided to book an appointment and make sure I have a secured appointment time to reduce the amount of time spent in the waiting room. I was coming from work so i ended up being 5 minutes late for my appointment but was told that was okay and I would be checked in ASAP for my appointment. The appointment lasted in total 2 hours! By the the time I got in and out. So much of that was sitting in the lobby. With an appointment! I really wanted to give this place another chance because it is the most convenient distance from my house and job. But this is outrageous. I will not come here again. Horrible service and super unprofessional. I had set-up a phone appointment as they are not allowing appointments without consulting a doctor due to COVID-19. However, I never received my phone call. I was told that they couldn't get a hold of anyone as they were in a staff meeting and that I would be contacted as soon as they were finished. I explained that I blocked time from my schedule to speak with someone and that I may not be available when they call back but that it was urgent to speak with a doctor to get seen in person. I left a message and was told a nurse would also reach out within 24 but no one called. Given this is a doctor's office, ignoring patients who are seeking medical care is negligence and should NEVER happen. As an establishment, you have a responsibility and it is your duty to ensure​ patients​ are treated and cared for. YOU FAILED read more

Had an appointment scheduled for 3:40 p.m., wasn't seen until 4:30. Got the usual questions asked, and was told that I'd be seen by another technician in 5 minutes. Well, 5 minutes quickly turned into 25 minutes. When the technician finally came it was already 5:30. It literally took them 10-15 mins to check/diagnose me after that. All in all, they have a very nice and helpful staff. The technicians that helped me were very sweet and gave me play-by-play's of everything so I'd feel more comfortable, but the wait was just not worth it. The woman over the phone said my insurance was okay. Then the woman at the counter FINALLY after twenty minutes says they don't contract with my insurance.... so I came here for nothing? Why did they see me a few weeks ago but not today? And why can't you explain to me why even though there were no changes to my insurance over the last three weeks you suddenly can't take me? Don't get me wrong, if you don't accept my insurance I totally get it. I hadn't been to the new location before this visit, it's so much nicer! The chairs are a little uncomfortable, which is unfortunate because sometimes there is a bit of a wait. If you really want to be seen quickly, book the first appointment in the morning! I found the staff to be welcoming and friendly, and getting the results of an HIV test before you leave (as opposed to waiting a couple of weeks) is great! It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the Hayward BART station, which is really helpful as well. read more

I absolutely LOVE this planned parenthood, oh my goodness . I recently moved to the area from south bay and I haven't found a primary physician. So not only has this place been extremely convenient but the staff is just so amazing . The way they extract the simplicity from complex situations just made me feel so comfortable with talking with them as well as trusting their work and knowledge. The staff is really nice and helpful , very resourceful , they give GREAT recommendations. Due to some health issues I do need to find another place as primary care but for anything that they can do I would recommend coming to this location. Shout outs to Kat ! (The doll with the blue hair) I just love her and have only been her client twice ! She's amazing at what she does. Extremely compassionate and precise. Alexis (the doll with the clear glasses) , is just as amazing . Super knowledgeable, I'm convinced she make rocket science sound like the alphabets. Thank you both a bunch . I'm so appreciative . I know I probably sound overly excited about this but when you've dealt with so many doctors , clinics , and hospitals that don't really take the time to connect with their patient or even show compassion and knowledge to make you feel at ease with your situation as well as more knowledgeable about . I had to wait for the person inside the one person restroom who took a big dump right before I had to go in. But I guess that's not the clinics fault... My appointment was at 9:30am and I didn't get called in until 10:28am. My sisters appointment was at 10 and she got called in before me. I wasn't mad about the wait time at all because I already knew that the wait time would be long. However when I got in it was quick. Questions took five minutes and the clinician took about 20 minutes to get to me but overall it took about 30 minutes after I went in to get out. I had recently moved to the area and did not have a primary doctor established yet so I made an appointment for this Hayward facility. On the day of my appointment I was asked to complete urine sample when I entered. I then had to wait 2+ hours past my scheduled appointment until I was seen. Upon consultation I explained my symptoms and presented them as two separate issues. Although the first was dealt with, I asked for the urine sample to be tested to which the nurse practitioner stated "I hope they didn't throw it yet". Upon a brief absence of her going to check she came back saying it was negative. The following day I went to an urgent care where I complained of same issues and test came back positive. When I returned to this planned parenthood to inquire, I was told there was no record of a urine analysis and no documentation of it being completed. The wait time was unreasonable, the care was lacking, and highly unorganized. I will not be returning. read more

Even when the workers told me I was next they took in another person before me. The worst part was they didnt listen to me at all, ordered me the wrong birth control and wrong amount.
