Absolutely have to take away some goodness of this review for the blatant disregard of covid-19 protocol in the store. Over half the people in line were not wearing masks and not socially distancing. I feel for the employees who were wearing masks but were obviously not comfortable stepping up to say anything. These maskless people were easily within a couple of feet of us and it perhaps we should have just left. Instead we distanced ourselves as best as possible in order to drop some cash here in an attempt to help out a local business. But, for now, our last visit to the Uptown Altamonte location. I love Planet Smoothie! This location is the one closest to my house and one the way back from the gym so the location is perfect for me! I walk in and without fail I hear, "Welcome to the planet!" It's a weird slogan, but it's catchy! The location is always clean and the employees have always been friendly to me. They have smoothies for everyone there. They offer ones that are a good meal replacement and some that have a lot of protein. They also offer plant-based protein, chia seeds and spinach as add ins! Some of my favorite are the Java the hurt and the chocolate Elvis since I like chocolate. I tried a new smoothie today, the peanut butter power up. It was my first time trying oats in a smoothie. I must admit that I don't like the texture of it, but the taste was delicious so I drank the entire shake. If you want to mix it up stop in and try something new! read more

After a run at Cranes Roost this is the ideal spot to hit! They have a variety of smoothie options, combinations in fruit and mixins. I wish they had more protein options but had to settle for what they had. The staff was friendly. They made our drinks pretty quickly. The reason for the one star off is that they used way too many greens. In theory I am all about the greens but not to the point where it turns my strawberry smoothie totally brown. It looked like I had my BF's peanut butter smoothie. And then his peanut butter didn't have much PB so it was very light in color almost a green. They still had a good taste so we didn't complain but it could be an issue to others startled by the colorings. read more

I explained my daughter's predicament and that in addition to the Vegan-thing, she also is not supposed to eat/drink apples or citrus, plus she doesn't like bananas. Sigh! "Okay, let's do this" and she did. I'm not 100% sure what all was put in the smoothie at this point, but my daughter knows because the "smoothie-barista" (what do you call those peeps anyway? Don't say smoothie maker, that's just no fun!) gave me a sheet of paper with all of the ingredients so that being that she was on an elimination diet at the time she could determine if she had any reactions to the ingredients. I'm not sure it should go to just this location, I think it should go to all Planet Smoothies, specifically their marketing department (kudos for embracing mobile technology guys) but this one gets the credit because godbless those little high school Smoothie Barista's; they know how to use this awesome texting discount widget technology. My fiance signed up for discounts, he gets text messages with $2.00 off, or a certain smoothie is discounted, or whatever, and NOW - instead of getting smoothies every day - he waits for the text messages. OH MY GOODNESS! These smoothies are awesome...Let me start by saying I'm new to the area and found this place by accident. I'd never had a smoothie from "Planet Smoothie" before so I wasn't sure what I was getting into. The staff was extremely helpful in suggesting different smoothies and let me know that if I didn't like it they would make me something different (that impressed me). The first one I got was good, but I realized that I don't like mangoes very much and the girl behind the counter was true to her word and made me something else (Chocolate Elvis) that I really liked. I must have been in there for more than 20 minutes and the energy and friendliness of the staff was amazing. I have been going back for several weeks now and the customer service hasn't wavered once.
