One thing about Provence (depending where you are) is that if you're not in the mood for a three…read morecourse fancy French dinner and a food snob like I am, it's difficult to find something for eat. We were staying in Crillon Le Brave and wanted to eat somewhere outside of the hotel. We drove around Bedoin which is not very nice and couldn't find a good place to eat. We then drove through Caromb and saw one restaurant opened - Le Vinaroz - which looked local and friendly. They had a nice outdoor terrace in front, but it was full. The menu was salads, pizzas and pastas - simple and what we were looking for. We had our dog with us and was disappointed that we weren't going to be able to check the restaurant out. My husband went in to ask if they did take away and explained that we had our dog, etc and the owner said "no problem, you can eat inside" as his two dogs cruised up to the front of the restaurant. Food: We ordered the Pepito pizza and the "something" Royale pizza (forgot the full name) which has bolognese and an egg. We were told that we can turn some of the pizzas into calzones and I opted to give it a try with the Pepito - man, was that a good call. It was huge, but delicious and just PERFECT! I didn't think I was going to be able to finish it, but I did. The "something" Royale pizza was also very good and my husband finished every last slice. Drinks: We ordered two glasses of their house rose wine. Price: 28.50 euros for two people - VERY reasonable! Ambiance: It's a very friendly and welcoming restaurant. The family is there and you feel like you're eating in their home with their kindness. Service: The service was great. Would I go back? Absolutely! I could eat the pepito calzone every day. We had a wonderful dinner while our little dog slept quietly next to us. If you're in the area go here instead of wasting your time in Bedoin.
