I love Planet K for many of the goodies they have to offer, just not their torches. I have bought 2 of them recently from there, both times took an employee recommendation, and got just a couple uses out of them before they'll no longer accept the butane I'm inputting. Meh. I guess that is a poor way to start a review, but that's really all I've got. My fiancé and I live in Georgetown and this is unfortunately the closest head shop that we know of. We walked in and I immediately started sneezing from the thick incense, so we didn't stay more than 20 minutes. I wasn't super impressed, we were never asked if we needed help and when we did finally ask for assistance the employee just stopped to answer our question and then went straight back to reading whatever it was that he was reading. I definitely got the vibe that we were bothering them, so we didn't ask anymore questions. Although we did go ahead and purchase a bowl from them, we ended up driving out to the gas pipe in Austin and got our papers and the dugout we were looking for. They did have competitive prices and the selection wasn't awful, so there's that. read more

After purchasing a piece that leaked only when actively used (imperceptible crack, I do not blame anyone for overlooking and had a hard time finding the source of the leak myself), spoke with Edgar on the phone who was very empathetic and was willing to work with me on a discount for a new piece. Completely understanding their policy on no returns for used products, even one time use, I was happy to go back and continue to shop with my local Planet K. Just like when I visited the day before, the staff was helpful and willing to show me pieces on display and provide their personal input. I'm really not a snob when it comes to this stuff, and I appreciated the staff (wish I had gotten other names) not giving me a hard time at any point. This is the worst Planet K I have ever been in, usually you are greeted with welcoming respect and an acknowledgment that you are entering the store to spend money. The experience that I encountered this past Saturday was quite frankly a slap in the face. A friend and myself entered the store, we were not greeted. We were not assisted at all by ANY employee. The only attention we got from any employee was when they stopped to make fun of my friend's "small titties." The manager was complaining and making fun of people coming into the store on Black Friday and asking for specials, when it was the Saturday after BLACK FRIDAY. All he offered me was 25% discount not something of equal value. so i ended up saving a whole 2.25$ on a pipe i didn't even want, plus there selection is poor the service is poor and the manager has poor management skills and isn't assertive in any way. I bought a Sesh Gear GiGi oil battery 6 days ago and they wouldn't exchange it for a new one because I didn't have my original receipt which I understand. Do not waste your time or money with tbis establishment. They are selling counterfiet products. I purchased a cali crisher homegrown grinder and it wasnt until i got home that i realized it was a knock off. Cali crusher is made in San Diego, California and on the bottom kf the box for the one i purchased clearly says made in china. Cali Crusher has blades and this grinder has spikes. It has an illegal trademark and its completely counterfiet. I called the store and i spoke to an employee, who i believe to be the same person who sold it to me, and he told me i could coe back and trade it for anothet grider or trade it dor a novelty of the same value, but he couldnt do a refund. I returned the following day and got nothing but grief from the employees, they even threatened to call the police. I will never go here again and i advise everyone to do the same. read more
