The bench area also has TVs , washrooms , change rooms , vending machines and a kids busy board type wall fixtures. Near the front is a concession stand with your standard assortment of hot / cold drinks , popcorn and baked foods. There is another room for getting your skate rentals. They had the cutest inflatables set up for the holiday season! There is ample amount of diagonal parking just in front of the rink and a larger lot further in ( which I think is for school parking during the weekdays but we were here on the weekend) I always forget about public skate days but would be a good weekend outing.

Sportsplex no longer has a division 1 or 2, and the number of teams in the adult roller there has dropped to around 24, a year ago it was double that. Central City Arena has more teams than Sportsplex does now. Langley Hockey House has as many teams and is where the elite level players have gone, because it's a better place to play now. Not to mention both of those rinks charge less as well. It leaves me thinking they just don't care about the roller hockey players, and would rather it died at Sportsplex and they'd convert that rink over to ice (like they did with their second roller rink already).

You're not pressured to purchase any food or drinks so I like that flexibility. There's a couple of massage chairs in case you wanted to relax and most importantly, it is WARM upstairs. Yay! If you do want to purchase food, I usually order the nachos. The portions are huge and I find they are the tastiest items on the menu.
