This Planet Fitness location is unbelievable. I'm a Black Card member, yet every visit turns into an ID interrogation. I've given them my ID countless times, and they still claim they "don't have my photo" in their system. That is their failure, not mine. I scan the QR code like every other member, but they act like the scanner can't be trusted and treat me like I'm going through TSA security. They question me every single time as if I'm not even a member. Who do they think they are? Even after I transferred my home club exactly as they demanded, nothing changed -- they still keep checking my ID like a checkpoint authority. The attitude here is rigid, unwelcoming, and completely out of line. They treat their "own" members differently and make Black Card members from other clubs feel unwelcome. And let's be honest: I'm done with this toxic place. I will never come back. I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone. Stay far away. Most of their clubs are poorly maintained, the hygiene is terrible, and the equipment is far from professional. The only reason I joined Planet Fitness in the first place was because they had many convenient locations -- but at this point, I'd rather not work out at all than step into a place like this again. read more

Nice friendly staff,+ members, w lots to do! AC's cool, & place's clean & maintained. The open hrs could be 1-2 hrs more, esp on weekends. The facility is very dirty. The toilet hasn't been cleaned in over 5 days. The facility is out of paper to wipe machines down. Bathroom sink is out of order for 3 months the other 2 sinks are full of beard hair. There is no soap in bathroom. The same mop is used for bathroom as the regular gym area. Business model, facility and variety of equipment is impressive but steadily decline in cleanliness of work out area and especially the men's bathroom. Lately there has been times cleaning supply stations were out of solution and paper towels. Additionally , the time it takes to repair equipment is unacceptable even after advising staff multiple times. read more

Per the owner response below, I should tell management. I've done that for over a year. They just say, "Whaaa? I dunno. Okay." Nice location, but all the lockers are broken. They haven't fixed them in over a year. It is way too crowded. I'm pretty sure half the people there don't even pay their membership dues. There are paper towels and TP all over the bathroom floors, and the showers don't work. read more

Really nice planet fitness! Looks like it is pretty much brand new, has WiFi, all the extras that you get with the special membership, Nice locker room, and all the equipment is in great condition! The people who work there are also very friendly and helpful! For the price of $10 per month you cannot ave any complaints about this gym! It's 24 hours too. read more

Love that this gym is open 24 hours! For only $10 dollars a month you can join or for $20 a month you can join and be a black tie member. As a black tie member you can only to any planet fitness and you can bring a guess with you for free everything. You also get to use the tanning beds and hydro massage chairs as well with the upgraded membership. This gym is very clean. They have big locker rooms with showers and lockers with locks build into them so you don't have to bring your own. Free WiFi in the gym. First Monday of the month is free pizza night. Second Tuesday of the month is free bagel morning. Everyone is very friendly. read more

This is a great gym! It's packed, but should be because this standard is hard to beat! Blows Snap Fitness away! All the equipment works great! They have people on the floor cleaning. Plenty of paper towels and sanitizer spray! No Boogers on the wall like Snap Fitness! Check in like 24hr, bring a friend on the Black card.. Awesomeness!! They need more staff at the front desk. Absolutely the worst customer service of any planet fitness I've ever been a member of, which is now four in four different cities I've lived in. During the pandemic when clubs were closed we moved to another city. Because I had no access to their club (it was closed) I went online and filled out a membership cancellation request through their online link. Never heard back and assumed all was ok. That was over a year ago. When clubs re-opened in March I joined a local planet fitness where we moved. I found out last month that the El Centro planet fitness started charging me fees again in when they reopened. Contacted them last month to let them know I had canceled online via their website during the pandemic and I needed a refund. They said they would either take care of it or call me right back. Never got the call back. Here we are a month later and I've been charged again. Called and asked them to fix this. Was told that I have to come in in-person or do a certified letter. I stated I am not sending in a certified letter because I canceled per the information given me over a year ago and I can't come in because I don't live there anymore. Assistant manager then wanted to argue with me about my contract. I stated that because of the pandemic it wasn't possible to cancel according to the contract. Her statement to me was that they'll just continue to charge me and there's nothing I can do about it. I've contact BBB and corporate. Avoid the El Centro planet fitness at all costs. The owner of this franchise should reevaluate who they have managing their business. At this time I guess I'll consider their charges against my bank account as fraud and let my bank go after them. They are as eager as can be to sign you up but when you want to cancel they go out of their way to make it impossible. Update: Received the message to reach out to them via the email. I did over two weeks ago. I STILL have not received a response. AND, my account was charged AGAIN today. The El Centro Planet Fitness is either incredibly corrupt or incredibly inept. read more

This place is very clean and a good amount of space compared to other PFs. I have been to several across the nation but this is hands down one of the best. Friendly staff always greets with smile. This place makes working out easy just pick your convenient time. read more

Best bargain in the Valley. This particular PF is the cleanest gym I've ever worked out at. Employees are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating ( shout out to Jacob on the Day Shift and Mark on graveyards). The only downside is that it is ALWAYS crowded. Can't fault PF for that. I joined planet fitness el centro since shortly after their opening near two years ago. I have seen them grow so to speak - and have seen the quality of service go through various phases. Though I would normally provide a high rating, I have seen recently to this post date a decline in cleanliness. Planet is indeed meticulous .. very obviously so .. incleaning the individual oieces of equipment ane mopping the main floor. However, my concern is their sudden lack of attention in the locker room. Interestingly, a few months ago there was a guy who not only was visible on the main floor cleaning equipment, walls mirrors, vents and fans even - And - was in the locker room wiping down counters and mopping floors and frequently cleaning showers, urinals and toilet stalls. Incredibly this guy who clearly was diligent and cared about his job xas fired! Ostensibly because he spent too much time cleaning the bathrooms, showers and dressing room ! Now I see some new hires that seem to go through their duties in slow motion as if bored and couldn't wait for the next break or end of shift. At any rate at most any time the bathrooms are filthy and urinals dont work and floors are wet everywhere and even trash on the floor. Granted that cleaning job at gym is not glamorous; however as a gym a key marketing tool must always include cleanliness. read more

It seemed like this place would never open; I'm so glad that it finally did. We went on Saturday, the day after it opened, and it was great. Lots of cardio machines and various equipment, large space. Monday was a madhouse...everyone apparently got the memo that PF was now open for business. It was a bit of a challenge to get on a machine, and the registration line was crazy long. Still not a bad experience, as its to be expected. The staff is friendly and helpful. I assume the crowds will die down in a few months, and this won't always be the popular high school hangout spot. its open 24 hours, which is a huge, huge plus. I come here to use the treadmill and walk the miles I need, however the customer service sucks and so does the internet service! I'm actually disappointed with becoming a member. The hydro massage is pretty relaxing tho. read more

This facility looks really nice and I wanted to like it but the showers are freezing cold. As in ice cold on every setting. That is totally unacceptable and it's something that's very common at planet fitness. Nice way to make your nice new facility into something that feels as cheap as working out and showering at the beach. read more
