This cleaners compl ruined a perfectly good suit. Made me pay over $100 to get the suit tested to prove that they ruined my suit and tried to give me less than the price of the suit. In addition it took me 3 separate visits there to be mistreated and told that I messed up the suit and not them. This was the worse experience that I have ever had as a customer. My old commute used to take me past Nu Yale, which was a convenient spot in my daily drive. However, my job changed and when I began to look for a new place I found Plainview sitting right across the street. I read reviews and decided to give it a go. During drop off, I was greeted and asked if I had been there before. We exchanged a quick conversation and I was told I would not be disappointed in my change. Well, they were not wrong. Dropped my winter wool coat and wool sweater off on Friday and picked them up quickly on Tuesday. The turnaround time was incredibly reasonable and the price was AWESOME. I was so pleased with everything that I will continue to make this place my new regular spot. There are no frills or fluff to this place, but it is exactly what I needed. Service was very fast and affordable. I loved being able to drop off and pick up curbside! I just used Plainview for the first time and I will definitely be back. An employee dropped laundry at their cleaners on Friday by mistake, total price was not given, After they have washed - dried - and threw a large amount of laundry in bags, clothes are all wrinkled, half are not folded, they demand we pay them nearly $700 (3-4 times anyone in the area) - we have received multiple amounts now, $496, $595, $632, and now nearly $700... if we do not pay them, within 3-4 hours of them saying they did the service, they are giving our clothes to goodwill. They took the clothes to their home to complete it? They did not say they were done until 2pm today, and said if we didn't pay the nearly $700 by 6pm they were going to do this. Cops say it is a civil matter ofcourse and are not helping, as plainview employees smirk and laugh... it's incredible.. business is a scam.. I finally got the owner on the phone and he said "I don't deal with these issues, as he personally said he was taking the items to goodwill if we didn't pay basically instantly... SCAM read more

I took my old, stained off-white curtains in and I'm so pleased with the results. They had not been cleaned in years. The cleaners got out some of the stains that I thought were there to stay and they look so much better. read more

I can't say the experience was horrible but it wasn't what I expected. Having used various Orange County cleaners I had expected a certain level of service, I should really get rid of all expectations while in Kentucky. However, when going to the cleaners I at least expect them to do a better job than I can. Unfortunately at Plainview Cleaners, you get just that, a shirt that looks like you just threw it in with the rest of your clothes and pulled it out when you were done; no delicate wash or dry cycle, just an ordinary, throw all your towels in with dress shirts type cleaning. A button on my dress shirt was damaged and my black dress shirt was covered in lint. As if that weren't bad enough, the shirts needed to be ironed after removing the lint. Granted, I paid for the cheap service, but in my defense that's what was recommended to me. Though they may be capable of doing a better job, I won't be giving them a second chance. The only Louisville area dry cleaner that I've never sent anything back for a re-do. As a clothing store we have large amounts of both dry cleaning and laundry on a regular basis and Plainview continues to meet our needs. We recently had the privilege of providing clothing to some of the student clients at Family Scholar House and Plainview generously offered to clean the whole lot for free! It's unfortunate that the other review for Plainview Cleaners isn't stellar, but I have to say I have never been disappointed. A girl has got to have her go to cleaners and as my office is close by I find myself here quite often for my blazers and dresses. I drop off, they give me a pick up time, I pick up and it is always ready. I think they are a bit pricey but when I have some good quality clothes I'd rather keep them in top notch fashion. I'm one of those that buys a few nice pieces and mix and match and want the quality to stay in shape. Plainview Cleaners definitely keeps the quality! I have one very complicated dress and although I've paid some money on having it cleaned I have never had an issue with the design and quality here. On another note, I absolutely love the staff here! They treat every customer with the respect they deserve. I even came in one time when no one was up front and two of the actual cleaners went to find someone for me. Most people ignore that since it's "not their job." You can tell the staff is happy here as their interactions are always positive no matter what position they have there. I'm happy to continue giving my business to them as long as the quality and friendliness continues! read more

Hi, I recently moved to the Bardstown area, I drive to Louisville Plainview cleaners weekly because I am pleased with their service. After, trying several cleaners in Nelson county and the Mt Washington area and realizing they were all owned by the same co. with no customer service. The manager was rude and they refuse to heavy starch, even when offer to sign waiver ect. Anyhow, my family and neighbors drive to Louisville and are happy. Perhaps someday Plainview will open a much needed competitor closer, or in Nelson County. read more
