Unfortunately, I had a fairly negative experience here. I dropped my wedding dress (modified A-line, Sophia Tolli Deon Y11715, if you care to check the style for cleaning price reference) off on a Saturday for dry cleaning only. The owner checked out the bottom of the dress (the only part that had gotten dirty) and commented that wedding dresses usually are much dirtier; we had a microwedding due to the pandemic so the dress wasn't worn for very long. He told me it would be ready in 2 weeks. I never got a call so I assumed, at the 3 week mark, that it'd be ready. My husband went to pick it up and was told they needed more time. Although not called, I went to pick it up a couple of weeks later and it was ready. I showed the promo advertised on Yelp for 10% off your first dry cleaning service. The owner immediately became aggravated and exclaimed over his frustrations with Yelp, Google, etc. He indicated that he had not approved the 10% off promo and would not honor it. I said calmly, several times, that I was just a customer and none of his complaints were my fault. He charged me $110 for the dry cleaning and I paid. After I paid, he acknowledged that my experience had not been a good one and vaguely said "I'll add a credit to your account." I did not ask for details as I just wanted to leave the uncomfortable situation. When I got home, it occurred to me that they gave me the dress in a cheap plastic bag rather than the cloth dress bag in which I had brought the dress. That was disappointing, but again I chose not to contact him because of my experience. I bought a new bag from Amazon, and when I was transferring the dress to the new bag, I noticed how truly poor of a cleaning job they had done for a wedding dress that, in his words, hadn't gotten that dirty! Refer to my photos for the lingering dirt stains and TWIGS(!) left on the dress! To my untrained eye, it seems like those dirt stains could have been cleaned, but if not, then I should have been told. All in all, I would not recommend this business for wedding dress dry cleaning and do not plan to return for any of my dry cleaning needs. read more

Took my bridesmaids dress to have it steamed. When I got there and removed it from the garment bag, it had a huge brownish watermark stain right on the front of it! I had a "freak out" moment!!! As a life long custom clothier, I need a first class cleaner. That isn't only for my own clothing, but for my clients to use as well. I discovered Premier about 15-20 years ago, and have not used any else since then. They are the best - helpful, caring, competent, and professional. They know their profession, and know multiple ways to solve problems. I have clients that drive 50 miles to use them, passing other cleaners on the way. Several of my favorite pieces of clothing are still in service, because Don has, given time to experiment, rescued garments from the junk pile of life. Their greatest "Lazarus" feat was washing a custom tailored seersucker suit, which had developed some permanent stains, over many years of wear. They are human, and occasionally, a shirt must be redone. Generally, the see it before I do, and pull it before I pick up. If you are a reasonable person, who understands clothing, you will become a life customer, as I have. read more

I dropped my husband's suit coat off here for cleaning. It took a little bit to get someone's attention in the back, but the drop off process was very straightforward. My husband was able to pick it up a few days later on his way home from work. They did a fine job with his suit coat and I would definitely use them again in the future. read more

Liz really takes care of you here. There of been numerous occasions when I have needed something cleaned virtually immediately, and she has bent over backwards to do so. I've never found a cleaners in all of my decades of using virtually everyone in the city, who takes as good of care of their customers -- when they are in a pinch especially. Quality is fantastic and on par with the best cleaners in town. But it's the service and attention to detail that puts things over the top. Absolutely amazing service. I ordered a used prom dress online, and it came in the day before prom absolutely disgusting. We took it to Premier Cleaners praying they could help considering i needed it in less than 24 hours. They hand washed it and had it ready by 2 pm the next day! Today I frantically searched for a dry cleaners who would press a dress for me that I need to wear this evening. The dry cleaners that I go to weekly said NO, they couldn't do it today. I went to another dry cleaners and they also said no. I decided that I should Google a place rather then to continue walking into places that will just say no. I found a review for Premier Cleaners describing my exact situation and how accommodating they were so I headed that way. They were wonderful! I took an American Flag in to be pressed for my father's memorial and they gave me superb one day service all the other dry cleaners I called wanted 5 to 10 day. This business is not worth 1 Star. You should also read the other negative reviews on Yelp and Google. I was very concerned for my safety, after being confronted by the owner, Don. In my opinion, this man needs professional counseling. I will never enter this store, again. On Friday, June 21, 2019 I dropped off 3 suit jackets at Premier Cleaners at 12121 Shelbyville Rd. This was my second time to visit this dry cleaning business. I dropped off a cream/grayed striped jacket, solid cream jacket and a tan jacket. The receipt they gave me indicates the garments will be ready on Monday, June 24, 2019 after 5:00 p.m. The lady that has worked there for over 20 years stated it could possibly be ready sooner. I told her I needed earlier, if possible. I stopped at 4:00 p.m. on June 24, 2019 at the cleaners, because I was passing by from visiting the Eastpoint Veterinary office. The gray striped jacket and the solid cream jacket were ready but the tan jacket was not. The young man that checked me out had charged me for all 3 jackets, $29.43. I ask him when the tan jacket would be ready, thinking today after 5:00 p.m., but he said tomorrow, June 25, 2019 after 5:00 p.m. I then ask him why he charged me for the tan jacket, since it was not ready. He went over to the jacket and said I could take it. I ask why I would take it after I had paid and it had not been cleaned. The young man went to get the owner, Don. Don came out and in an angry manner said they needed more time to clean. Staying calm and avoiding a potential dispute, I then left with the 2 jackets that had been cleaned and was going to return the next day after 5:00 for the tan jacket. When I got home and took the plastic off that was covering the jackets, I quickly noticed that the jackets had not been pressed and the cream jacket still had the dirty spots on the lower, right front that I had discussed with the lady on Friday, when I dropped off. I immediately returned to the cleaners with the 2 jackets to request my money back and to get the tan jacket that I left to be cleaned and they had already charged me. When I entered the store, Don immediately came out. I showed him the dirty spots on the cream jacket and showed him the jackets had not been pressed by pointing out the wrinkles on the back and in the bend of the sleeves where I had worn before cleaning. He became very enraged and aggressive. He was very red in the face and screaming that he works his ass off and very hard, not sure what this had to do with my clothes being dirty. I became concerned when he got very near my face screaming and pointing his finger, almost touching my face. I was very scared that he was going to attack me. I told him in very harsh words to get out of my face with his fingers. I requested he return my money. Screaming at me, he stated he would not refund my money. He snatched my jackets very aggressively from my hands and said he would clean them. I snatched them back and requested the tan jacket that he had not cleaned but had charged me. He gave me my tan jacket. Once again, I ask him to refund my money and like a crazy insane person he screams that he will never refund my money. I preceded to leave the store and told him I would see him in court no matter the cost. He followed me to the door that was open during the entire time and was still screaming at me. People outside the store seen and heard him. The young man working in the store witnessed the entire abuse I suffered. At this point, I was shaking and concerned for my security and well-being. About 1 mile later and around 5:00 p.m., I pulled over and called 911 and requested the non-emergency line. I explained what had just occurred in detail to the lady and wanted to know if an officer could meet me and help me with the situation. She said it was a civil dispute and the officers would not get involved. read more

I needed my wifes dress pressed on the fly. After Highland cleaners said they cant do it, I checked with Premier. I brought it in...they did it while I waited, and they did a great job. The person I dealt with was very friendly, and clearly very accomodating. They have a new regular customer now....sorry Highland...you've been replaced. read more

We will never return to Premiere Cleaners. They had our bedspread for three weeks before it was ready. The owner was extremely rude and downright insulting to my husband as we went in for the third time to pick it up. After promising a substantial discount the second time that we tried to pick it up (after 2 1/2 weeks), he gave us a 10% discount and then yelled at my husband. The bedspread was clean, but reeked of dry-cleaning fluid. I am wondering if the owner is having a nervous breakdown. My next step is to report this business to the Better Business Bureau! We will tell all of our friends and colleagues in the Anchorage and Middletown area about this proprietor and his extremely unprofessional and erratic behavior. read more

Yes, as good as it gets! I followed the recommendation of a local tailor to take a stained formal garment to Premier Cleaners. This was out of my way, and there are many dry cleaners between here and there, but I was going to take no chances with this challenging stain on an expensive and important piece (my daughter's wedding dress). Am I ever glad! The service was personal and unbeatable, and the result was untoppable as well. I will never go anywhere else, and accept mediocre or worse, service or results . Do yourself a favor and go to Premier first. Meanwhile supporting a family owned and operated local business who will do whatever it takes to meet your needs. If they can't do it, nobody can. First, they're NOT bad. But, they're average. With all the "grade inflation" here average somehow means bad. The people are SUPER SUPER nice-that's the reason I go back. I know they've opened early or stayed late so someone could pickup an emergency suit. That's just unheard of today. Having said that, I've had to send ~10% of my clothes back for a redo. They've sometimes missed clear & obvious stains-that came out perfectly on the redo. I've also had several times where I've had to comeback because somethings not pressed yet or not quite done yet etc. It's not the end of the world-they're close to where I live. But, it's a pattern of... call it carelessness or inattention to detail. But, I'm still going to keep going there because they're just so nice and friendly. And, if my world crumbles because a few shirts or suits need to be redone... that doesn't say much about my world. read more

Wow! I've used many dry cleaners over the years here and when I lived in Chicago but I've never had one like this. About two months ago I went in to pick up my order and one of my shirts was missing (brand new untuckit $80). They promised to find it, that it was simply misplaced and they would call. After 10 days I called and they said they had the shirt. I returned..it wasn't my shirt. Weeks went by and I returned after the holiday... I hadn't heard a word from them...(maybe he'll just go away?) When I went in I asked the owner if he remembered me and if he had found my shirt. He replied yes and no he had not v=found the shirt. I asked why he hadn't even bothered to call me and at least let me know it was lost..and make things right. Thats when it got interesting...he totally copped an attitude and accused me of yelling at him, that 50% of his staff had left, that people like me were the problem with America!! Complete psycho response. I was furious and let him know it...Bottom line...the worst customer experience I have ever had in my 55 years on earth. Amazing...he totally had numerous opportunities to make things right with my lost shirt but decided to be a crazed defensive jerk instead.
