Very efficient, very nice people who are also friendly! (Not at all like Seinfeld's dry cleaner,…read morefor those of you who get the reference). As I noted in a review for another branch, they are attentive to the clothes, which is the best part. This location has a drive-up window, for people with children or on hot/cold days with dogs in the car, elderly, etc. They will text when my clothes are ready- so I will promptly retrieve them, and prices are consistent with other drycleaners and the service provided.

So, I guess she was having a bad morning and chose me to take her aggression out on and I've never and will NEVER walk back in Highland Cleaners located in the HIGHLANDS again....so, I wanted to share that, thanks and hope this review helps someone else from having an unnecessarily bad experience, have a BLESSED DAY!

Also, don't expect friendly customer service for any issues. I was* a well established and frequent customer of this facility. I took my brand new couture dress to them for dry cleaning (as instructed on the dress care per the manufacturer) & received a ruined, irreparable dress in return. This particular dress was purchased in Europe over summer 2021. This dress has permanent pleats throughout. I brought this dress to NuYale for drying cleaning after only wearing 1 time in November. When I received the dress back, the pleats were flattened out. Well, these are permanent pleats (unbeknownst to me at the time) so you could still see the fine lines of where they used to be, making the dress completely unwearable. I called NuYale & was told that "since there is no way to know whether they are permanent, sometimes this happens." My response: "if this is a known issue, why was I not contacted? Why would you even steam or press the dress if you ALREADY KNOW that this could happen? I never gave permission to flatten the pleats out of this dress." I was continuously met with resistance & told it was the manufacturer's fault. I then called the supervisors line. She told me the exact same thing, "there is no way for us to know whether the pleats are permanent or not so sometimes this happens." She TOO insisted on blaming the manufacturer (who recommends dry cleaning by the way) instead of taking responsibility for their role in doing something that THEY KNEW was risky. I asked if they could simply place the pleats back in since you could still see the lines of where they used to be & was told they could not repair it. Absolutely no responsibility taken, no apologies, & no offer to repair the damage either. NuYale advertises themselves for "speciality items' and "restoration" and they couldn't even fix the damage they had so easily done. They offered me my $20 drying cleaning charge back (WHICH BY THE WAY, I discovered is OBNOXIOUSLY OVERPRICED for a single dress to be cleaned, but I digress). That $20 fee is nothing compared to the monetary or sentimental value of this brand new dress. I asked for a refund for the actual value of my dress & was denied without any consideration. They continued to blame the manufacturer for not indicating on the clothing label whether the pleats were permanent (which by the way, is not a thing, this is rarely included on the label). Well, I contacted the manufacturer & OF COURSE, they are INDEED permanent, which is why the pleat lines still somewhat exist & why they recommend dry cleaning only. I then took my dress to another local dry cleaner to see if they could repair it. The owner of the new dry cleaner attempted working on my dress for over two months. Simply stated, he ALSO confirmed that these pleats were indeed permanent and that someone had to of intentionally PRESSED them out to have even gotten them as flat as they are. Unfortunately, because of the intricacy of this dress, the new dry cleaner was unable to repair it. The new dry cleaner also informed me that many dry cleaners are short staffed, and therefore, undertrained. He confirmed that is it common practice (or sense really, I digress again) to NOT PRESS OR STEAM pleats of ANY kind. He assured me that if it was his facility, I would have been offered a complete refund for the value of my dress. Apparently NuYale has a reputation in town amongst the cleaning professionals for overcharging for their services & having undertrained staff. Lets not overlook the overall subpar customer service experience. If you do have any sort of issue, don't expect to be met with even a minute amount of quality, or even friendly for that matter, customer service. The supervisor for this location was unbelievably rude, condescending, & completely lacks any ounce professionalism. 812-285-7400 is her direct line if any of her superiors care to know. Sincerely, Advocate of BBB and IFI
